- nicely designed and well maintained hotel, very quiet
- away from the Main Street, not very convenient, shuttle bus is very limited, only two in the morning to the train station, you have to book in advance
- no gym or pool or a la carte restaurant options
- great ocean view from the room, lobby and Onsen
- service was subpar, the onsen floor was slippery, I fell and injured my hand and feet, had two medicated plasters from the reception and that was it
- lots of people were taking photos in the mixed bath onsen???

I had a great experience staying at this hotel!
The view from our room was amazing and we particularly enjoyed the private onsen, which allowed us to unwind while watching the stunning sunset. The staff were all very friendly and polite, which made our stay even better.
However, the hotel's location is next to the beach, which means you have to climb a slope to get there. It is also quite far from the JR station, and the only public transportation available is a 30-minute bus ride.
Additionally, there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so you might want to plan ahead for meals.

The beautiful Shirahama Beach is worth the two-hour drive from Wakayama. The hotel is in a great location. You can see the beach from the room and the beach is right outside. The service is warm and thoughtful. It is so comfortable to take a hot spring bath while watching the stars at night... We booked breakfast at 7:30 in the morning. The dining environment is elegant and full of ritual... A great stay experience. In short, I will come again in the future...

A very good hotel, an old-school hot spring hotel. Very close to the bus stop, right at the hotel entrance, and close to the beach, just across the road! The staff inside are also very enthusiastic, and there is no bad experience! I have traveled to Japan 30 times, and have been to Hokkaido, Okinawa, Kanto Kansai, and Kyushu. In fact, many old-school Japanese hotels are good except that the decoration is not very new, and the price-performance ratio is very high! The balcony of this hotel faces the sea, and the room is also large. It is definitely enough for a family of three. There are also supermarkets around, a 5-minute walk, and a small izakaya at the door. It's good. I will come to this hotel next time!

Facilities: Super complete, the infinity pool was almost empty, and the water was so clean!!! I was shocked that there was no sand at the bottom of the pool. The footbath was also very beautiful for watching the sunset.
Hygiene: Decent and clean
Environment: All attractions in Shirahama are within walking distance (you may need to take a car to Shirahama and beyond)
Service: Most of the staff can speak English, and some even offered to take photos for us
In addition, the main building feels more convenient than the annex building

Very good. The service of the store is very good. The front desk can speak Chinese. The people are super gentle. The sea view is worth it. It is very beautiful. It is very comfortable to soak in a hot spring after a day of shopping. Recommended! (The room is a bit big and may be a bit cold. Then my friend and I are not used to the Japanese breakfast. But it is still very convenient and comfortable to eat in the morning. It depends on your opinion.

The Japanese-style room of this hotel can accommodate up to 4 people, which is very suitable for our travel combination of one person and two children. The Japanese room is charged per person, and if 3 people stay, they will be charged for 3 people. The room faces the sea directly, the scenery is good, and the hot spring is also a sea view hot spring. There is no one at all, and the experience is very good. The overall feeling is good.

Excellent
GGuest UserAlthough I only stayed in Shirahama for one night, I canceled two hotels in succession and came to Haiyue after struggling. In a quiet harbor, the boss was elegant and elegant, Lao Bai was enthusiastic and meticulous, and communication was smooth throughout the process. Opened more than a year ago, the facilities are very new, and the room is very big. You can lie on the tatami and watch the sunrise directly. You can drink up to 6 bottles of drinks a day and it is impossible to finish them. Pola toiletries have two series from makeup remover to moisturizer. There are also pigeons for children. The bathing supplies are so meticulous that they provide socks and silk eye masks. The bathing pool is super clean, and there are all kinds of ice creams for free, and the meals provided are also very rich. Despite his busy schedule, Lao Bai also drove part-time as a tour guide to take us to visit the scenic spots. He showed his sincerity in every aspect. He is already thinking about coming to Haiyue next time when the weather is hot.
GGuest UserFirst of all, the environment is very clean and the location is easy to find. You can take the bus directly from the JR station to Shirahama Station. You can walk there in five minutes according to the navigation. The owner's sister is a Chinese compatriot who has lived in Japan for many years. The breakfast prepared for the guests is also very exquisite. Knowing that the baby had a birthday that day, she specially prepared noodles and poached eggs in the morning, which was a surprise for the baby who loves noodles. On the last day, she also helped us book the best restaurant in this trip to Japan. The B&B is on Ginza Street. There are delicious restaurants around the B&B. The white sand beach is a five-minute walk across the street. I will choose here next time I come to Shirahama.
KKstt27The ONSEN ryokan is located a bit off the street but Shirahama center is very small. You are able to walk from the Ryokan to the center and Shirahama beach within 10 mins. There are 2 supermarkets nearby. One of them opens 24/7. The decoration in the Ryokan looks very showa style. The staff here are friendly and helpful.
KKai CheongThe lounge area is relatively large and many facilities for guests to use, and there is all-you-can-drink plum wine before eleven o'clock, which alone improves its value for money (personally loves to drink plum wine). In the evening there are many choices for dinner, the taste can be there will be a few dishes that surprise but will not go very good.
GGuest UserThe service is excellent. All staff will explain when checking in and eating. The location is also very convenient. You can get there by getting off the Sunshine Bus. The breakfast and dinner buffet is very cost-effective. I strongly recommend the steak, which is full of milk flavor. It is oily and has no tendons. The meatless soup in the evening is also worth a try.
CCinderella PrincessIf I come to Shirahama alone next time, I will still choose this hostel.
During the off-peak season, you are very likely to have a room for one person, and each room is divided into four single rooms, so you don't disturb each other.
The key is that the location is just opposite Shirahama, and there is Marriott on the mountain next to it. Marriott is 1500, and here is 170.
The hot spring ♨️ in the hostel is also very good, with a relatively high water temperature, which is super refreshing. For such a cheap price, there is also breakfast, which is very simple, with bread, eggs, and coffee.
Take the Meiko bus 🚌 from Shirahama Station to S-16 or S-17 Mabiyu Station, and get off. MU is a pink building on the slope between the two stations.
The front desk service is very enthusiastic, you can wash and dry clothes, and you can lock and store your luggage yourself🛅Perfect
ЮЮрий555Grampus Shirahama A modest hotel right near the ocean. The room was clean, but the air conditioning was all dirty. I wouldn’t want to stay here in summer. The breakfast was nearly the same as in every other hotel in Japan, though the grilled fish was a bit stale. The dining room has a wonderful view over the ocean. The staff almost didn’t speak English but tried to help anyways. Plus: the hotel has its own onsen. Minus: no bathroom in the rooms, only toilets on the floor, no shower.
ZZaraZhang1122The hotel is opposite to Shirahama Beach. The hotel is quite old. We booked the private indoor bath. It is very convenient. The tatami is also comfortable to sleep on. However, you have to lay the tatami yourself. There is no suitable bathrobe in the room. There is a ramen restaurant next to it and a Family Mart across the street. The bus station is very close.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel has a large free parking lot. It is very close to park outside and then go to the front desk to check in... The waiter will drive to each room. If you check in during peak hours, the waiting time for the battery car is very long. Overall, it is a resort suitable for one experience. Breakfast and dinner are quite satisfactory... Next to the toretore seafood market, the location is still great!
GGuest UserThe room is very general, it is the worst I have ever lived, that is, cheap, but the health is not flattering, and the check-in is not smooth, I have a front desk when I arrive at the store, but I don’t give it to me. I have to handle it by email. I can’t handle it on Android mobile phones. Then the front desk secretly disappeared and did not appear. I could not handle it. In the end, Trip.com could not solve it in the middle of the night, but recommended to me a Chinese to help me handle it successfully. I only lived in. I could go to see the sunset and see the fire. I was affected and very angry.
