Taj Exotica Resort & Spa, Andamans

We had been contemplating an Andaman trip for a few years. However, we didn’t go ahead with the plan as the accommodations and facilities weren’t promising enough for our “ideal fancy holiday” randomness, which by the way, we were so wrong to assume. This we had not realised until this summer when we actually took our big step to explore the ethereal island no matter what. And, what a holiday it was! Without a second thought, we would credit our amazing holiday experience to the Taj Exotica Resort Andamans. From pick-up on Day 1 to welcoming us at the reception, room allocation, briefing on various preferred activities, local tips, drop-off at the ferry on our last day, and many other arrangements, the services were impeccable. Oh yes, they really know how to pamper their guests. Some of the little gestures which absolutely took us in awe: 1. An entourage of cheerful smiling faces welcomed us with earthly humility the moment we were seated at the reception lobby. 2. The service heads personally joined the group to welcome us giving it a very personalised experience. 3. Welcome drinks were tender coconut juice from real coconuts presented in flower-shaped handmade jute baskets. A 1000-point for the eco-friendly and creative thought! 4. A soulful welcome song (in local language) by the entourage. The song was about Andaman and the island’s beauty. 5. The ‘chilled-out’ check-in process, unlike the usual long formalities at 5-star properties. It was all done even before we realised, all while we were seated at the huge airy reception lobby sipping our coconut water. 6. When they heard that it was my bucketlist wish to do scuba on my birthday, they arranged for a special scuba diving slot despite all regular slots being full. 7. A complimentary framed photo that completely took us by surprise. They took a photo of you after your check-in process was complete. In the evening, they came and handed the photo placed inside a delicately shell-decorated frame. 8. A surprise goodbye flower bouquet by the housekeeping staff, made from flowers grown at the property garden. 9. A surprise bon-voyage cake-cutting arrangement after breakfast on the check-out day. 10. A surprise manta ray memento from the Taj as a bon voyage gift before we got into the car for our return journey. 11. And this one is our favourite and the sweetest ever: the entire staff crew dropped us at the car and bid us a heartfelt goodbye by waving with both hands and kept waving until the car was out of sight from the property. Why you must stay in Taj Andamans if you are planning for an Andaman Island(s) trip: 1. The property is built with eco-consciousness. You will find centuries-old heritage and iconic trees inside the property. 2. The property has private access to Radhanagar Beach. It pretty much feels like a private beach because no one really walks to this end of the beach from the public access area. 3. I had one of most wonderful experience at Taj Andaman!! The property as the name suggets gives an exotic experience. The high tea at beach side with the sunset is the highlight of the stay!! I enjoyed my stay and I would recommend the place if one is looking for a perfect getaway!!!!

Had the most amazing time at Taj Exotica.. The staff was extremely hospitable. Special call out to Abhishek and Manoharath for being great hosts and making us feel at home. Taj Exotica is several cuts above the rest and definitely one of the best properties we have ever holidayed in. We loved the fantastic food,the breathtaking view of the sea, the scenic pool, the clean n fabulous cottages . Overall it was a wonderful experience for the entire family and we look forward to our next stay with the Taj group of hotels.

Taj Resorts in Andaman was exceptional! Stunning views, luxurious rooms, and delightful cuisine. The staff was warm and attentive. Especially Veera 😊. Activities made it unforgettable.we could see the beach from the pool. That memory still exists in my eyes.

Our recent stay at Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Swaraj Deep Andamans was truly exceptional. The resort is impeccably managed and maintained, offering a serene and luxurious environment for families. The staff, led by Mr. Ajay Shukla as the Operations Manager and Ms. Pooja as the Duty Manager, provided exemplary service throughout our stay. Special commendations go to Mr. Mahender, the Restaurant Manager, and Mr. Pabitra, who ensured our overall experience was comfortable and memorable. Mr. Ranjan added an adventurous touch to our trip with his guidance during the forest trek and archery sessions, which were both enjoyable and enriching. Overall, we were thoroughly impressed by the hospitality, facilities, and the natural beauty surrounding the resort. Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Swaraj Deep Andamans exceeded our expectations in every aspect, making it a perfect destination for relaxation and adventure alike.

Taj Exotica Resort and Spa on Havelock Island in the Andamans offers a picturesque escape with its stunning beachfront cottages, clear blue-green sea, and impeccable hospitality. The private beach and well-mannered staff contribute to a serene ambiance. On the downside, the resort falls short in terms of child-friendliness when compared to other Taj properties in India. The absence of a dedicated kids' zone, caretaker availability, and limited fun activities for children may be a drawback for families. The adventurous activities cater more to adults, lacking child-oriented options like swings or play areas. The culinary experience presents mixed feedback. While the resort boasts a beautiful setting, the limited vegetarian menu and the perceived lack of deliciousness in the food may leave some guests wanting. The absence of buffets and a relatively restricted breakfast selection further contribute to culinary considerations. With only two restaurants on-site and no bar availability at the beach, the options for dining and leisure may seem somewhat limited. The absence of playing tools for kids at the beach and no bar options in rooms may impact the overall family experience. In summary, Taj Exotica Resort and Spa stands out for its natural beauty and hospitality, yet potential guests should be mindful of the resort's limitations in catering to families, particularly those with children, and the relatively constrained dining options.

Beautiful resort in Havelock Island, right on the Radhanagar Beach, it has the wonderful hospitality that Taj is famous for. We stayed in one of the mangrove facing villas. The rooms are large, with a verandah and a bathroom. There is a lot of privacy, I loved that the resort was nestled in nature and that nature is respected. Lights are muted at night and the sky is inky black with stars. You can hear the frogs and crickets sing at night and it is so peaceful. Taj has respected the trees all around the complex and the resort just fits within the large trees. If you see my photos, you'll see the trees go through my building. The swimming pool is Olympic size and, long warm days can be spent at the poolside that has trees on all sides, which protect it from direct sunlight. The staff is excellent and I had lovely conversations with many of them. They are knowledgable. I was especially happy to speak to Joydeep Chatterjee, who is really knowledgable about Andaman and Nicobar Islands and very passionate about the subject. The food is great. Pricey but understandable cause everything comes from the Port Blair. You have to eat at the restaurants mostly cause there are no great restaurants nearby and you have to travel half hour to get to some better ones. Had a great one week stay and will definitely recommend the resort to everyone.
