Destination resort. Amazing views from the top of the hill. Beautiful and well tended garden and greenery on the property. The maitre’d of the restaurant runs it like a well oiled machine. Conprehensive wine list including highly rated Japanese reds. Service staff are attentive and bi/tri lingual. Michelin star level service. Chef is impeccable too.

The hotel is not quite in line with its price tag, it is moldy. It is not particularly good, but the hotel staff is very easy to communicate with, and I refunded it if I didn't stay the second night. I will choose carefully next time.

This place claims to be associated with Fufu, but it feels quite different from many aspects of Fufu. Anyway, the discount vouchers issued here can't be used. There are only four rooms here, and all meals (breakfast/dinner) and activities take place in the Lounge. Downstairs is the hot spring bath, which requires advance booking. There aren't many staff, but their attitude is good, and the food and drinks provided are decent. The internet is good, and the bed and pillows are comfortable. However, the facilities are a bit dated. What's somewhat amusing is that despite all my questions before arrival, nothing was done according to the answers once I got here. It's as if they have no interest in providing better service, beyond perhaps prying into personal information.

It was a very good accommodation! I would like to stay again if I have another chance !!

I was very satisfied with the hotel I stayed at this time, booked through an online travel agency. The hotel package included one night's stay with two meals, and the meals were different each day. The Kaiseki cuisine was so good and plentiful that I actually felt full after every meal. The open-air onsen overlooked the sea, and soaking in the hot spring while listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore was incredibly relaxing.

The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning. The front desk area and lounge are spacious, with large windows offering panoramic ocean views – truly spectacular. The public bath facilities, including both indoor and semi-open-air baths, also boast magnificent views. Towels and amenities are provided. The rooms are spacious, allowing for a comfortable and relaxing stay. While the hotel shows its age a bit, it's very clean. We had two large beds pushed together, which was perfect for our family of three to sleep comfortably. The front desk can arrange for bottle sterilizer sets and cribs upon request. For meals, we had both dinner and breakfast from the buffet this time. There was a wide selection of dishes, and we were happy with the price. Overall, I thought the service was good, but it didn't quite feel like great value for the price. This might be because our child is only 0 years old, so we couldn't fully enjoy all the activities. I imagine it would be a much better stay once our child is older and we can take full advantage of the activities.

I originally planned to go from Shimizu to Nagano, but later I felt that the journey was too tiring so I booked this hotel temporarily. The number of reviews is actually not usually considered by me. I was quite hesitant to make the bed myself after seeing the reviews about the taste. But considering the price and room size of Atami Hotel, I still think this hotel is good value for money. Actual stay experience: The sanitary conditions are in line with the expectations of Japanese hotels and are quite clean. In terms of transportation, it is a bit inconvenient. It is not far from the station, but because of the characteristics of Atami as a mountain city, it is very inconvenient to drag suitcases in the hotel south of Atami. I was exhausted with two suitcases on the first day, especially when I was in a hurry. The facilities are indeed old, but it's just like that after getting used to it. The small TV is a problem, but moving the table over, it's not bad for the family to watch TV at night. It's a bit troublesome to make the bed yourself, but it's also fun, and it's relatively easy to put on the quilt. In terms of service, the money I needed to pay was calculated incorrectly at the beginning, and I spent a lot of time at the front desk, and the attitude of the aunt with glasses was not particularly friendly, which is a minus point. Hot springs are a big plus. Self-service free booking is very convenient. You can scan the QR code to see where there are vacancies and go directly. If it is a day-return hot spring, the booking is very expensive. Overall, it is a good stay experience. It is like the Japanese apartment in Japanese dramas. The space is also open, and there is a microwave and refrigerator. It is worth recommending.

Not recommended for a newbie. Check-in procedure was really complicated for foreigners, making a call to the host to get the password of the key box. Without Japan number I contacted the host by e-mail in Japanese instead that took some time. 500 yen onsen fee is compulsory. You need to pay more for a towel or amenities. The room and communal area with a small kitchen was good.
