This hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Berri-UQAM station, a major hub for sightseeing. It's a large hotel, and the reception area was often crowded. The dormitory rooms are a bit small, but the beds are sturdy and offer good privacy. Each bed has a laundry pole, two hangers, and a power outlet. Luggage can be stored under the bed; I used my own wire padlock. There's a shower and toilet in the room, but it's a single unit, so if someone is showering, the toilet is unavailable. There was no mirror at the sink. Hairdryers were available for loan, requiring an ID each time. The coin laundry is located on the first floor of an annex building, costing $4 each for washing and drying, and only accepts coins. The kitchen was spacious and seemed quite lively, likely due to many group travelers and long-term guests. There's a fairly large supermarket (Les marchés Verreault et Normandeau) about 3 minutes from the station.

Very clean hostel, staff are all awesome and super friendly. Events happen downstairs all the time, and there's a real sense of community. Backpackers filter in and out. There are plenty of working spaces and alternative bathrooms, which is good because many rooms have 10+ people. Earplugs and a sleep mask are definitely must haves, but luckily the former is provided for free. Towels and toiletries are available, but not great. Breakfast is just bagels and bread, but still incredibly convenient. There are small luggage lockers, but you need your own lock, and they won't fit suitcases by any means. Overall I highly recommend--great place great location and great people.

great hotel, the reception was so nice and open the front door for me 2 times when I got back late and can't open it. the room is clean with everything you need. Great choice for such a price.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 3 days 2 nights. The location is excellent, close to many restaurants and sightseeing points, making it very convenient. However, the hotel is undergoing renovation, and the strong smell of oil paint was uncomfortable. Better ventilation or scheduling renovations during low occupancy periods could help. Additionally, there was a lack of communication among the staff. Despite informing them of our stay duration, we were asked a few times if we were checking out on our second day, and a staff member even entered our room without knocking. Improving internal communications and ensuring staff knocking before entering rooms would enhance the guest experience. Overall, wow, the location is great, addressing this issues would significantly improve the stay.

Clean room, kind staff. Bagels, muffins, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, cereals , and some fruits for breakfast.

Everything went well with the stay, room was clean. It would have been nice if they could have provided atleast two bottles of water. Apart from that it was a good stay.

Very good location, service is also very good, it is indeed a few compatriots who are very thoughtful to help you when you have questions. The free parking space that I worried about before check-in is also perfect. Just leave the key to facilitate the staff to move the car when needed. McGill University and the Old Port can be reached on foot, a very cost-effective accommodation option.

The room is small but clean and comfortable, good enough for a short stay in the city. The room didn't have a water kettle. There is no elevator, which is ok for the kind of place. The staff is nice and helpful, they helped me store my luggage for a few hours and find the schedule for the bus to the airport. The surrounding area is really nice, close to public transport and to many restaurants. The perfect position for a tourist.

Great value for money. Clean and comfy room. Good place to stay if you have a car or need to catch an early flight.

Overall, it wasn't bad. The service was friendly enough to help me resolve the double payment issue. The location is in the heart of Montreal's old city center, so it was easy to visit various attractions. However, the public restroom was not well maintained, so I felt a bit uncomfortable throughout my stay.
