My stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Montreal from April 3–5, 2026 was an overall very positive experience. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to explore Old Montreal and nearby attractions without any hassle. The suite-style rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, perfect for relaxing after a full day out. I especially appreciated the separate living area, which added a nice touch of comfort and privacy. The complimentary breakfast was a standout feature, offering a solid variety of hot options like eggs, meats, and potatoes, not just a basic continental spread. It definitely set a good tone for the day. The evening reception was another highlight the happy hour drinks were excellent, with a great selection and a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a long day. Service was friendly and professional throughout my stay. Staff were helpful, responsive, and made check-in and check-out smooth and efficient. If I had to mention one small drawback, it would be that the hotel can get a bit busy during peak hours, especially around breakfast time, but that’s expected given its popularity. Also the parking was a bit pricey . Overall, I’d definitely recommend this hotel for couples, business travelers, or anyone looking for a comfortable and well-located stay in Montreal. I would gladly stay here again.

The place was clean and the service was friendly. The room key card was a bit inconvenient to use, but overall it was good. I was a little startled when the fire alarm suddenly went off in the morning, possibly for a fire drill, but I just brushed it off as it's common in Canada. Still, it would have been nice if the front desk had mentioned it during check-in; it would have prevented me from being woken up so abruptly.

The room is clean, toilet clean, i like the soap provided. The setvices also good, i requested to checked out at 1pm, they allowed. The location also near downtown, old port by walking. I used bus 747 to the YUL airport, the bus pickup point also near arounf 350m only from hotel. I read the review before said a lot of homeless but near hotel during I stay njust 1-2 only but not near hotel. Rocommended because room also big enough

The room was nice, clean, and functional. Everything was well maintained and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating throughout our visit. We requested a room facing the Chinatown arch and were happy to receive exactly that. They also kindly granted us a late check-out and allowed us to store our luggage at reception for the day, which made exploring much easier. The breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options. We especially appreciated that they changed the style of eggs, potatoes, and meats daily, which kept things interesting. The location is ideal for visiting downtown Montreal. It is within walking distance of many attractions, restaurants, and shops. Overall, a very pleasant and convenient stay. I would definitely recommend it.

This hotel is a little gem in a super area of downtown Montreal. The room was spotless and the bed was very comfortable, with high-quality sheets and a good selection of comfortable pillows. A kitchenette made it very easy to pick up salads or snacks to refrigerate or reheat leftovers from a restaurant the night before. Breakfast is included and there’s a good selection of fruit, boiled eggs, smoked salmon, deli meats and yogurt. Cereals as well. While there were scrambled eggs, I tried them twice but not cooked to my taste. Having said that, there were fresh pastries and bagels, so a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon with some fruit served very well. This hotel is very walkable to Notre Dame, Place des Arts and several theatres and museums. Lots of great restaurants to suit anyone’s tastes. The subway is literally a 3-minute walk and in 10 minutes, you can be at the Jean Talon Market, which has a plethora of foods and drinks to suit anyone’s taste palate. I’d highly recommend Hotel and Spa Carre St. Denis and will definitely be back next time I visit Montreal.

Great location! It's right by the main road, making it super convenient for both the subway and bus. Plus, it's really close to the Old Town, Old Port, and Chinatown, which is perfect for trying out some Chinese food. I especially recommend the beef tendon noodles at the Lanzhou Lamian restaurant – though they only serve it on weekends!

The hotel situates a bit north to the city, the nearest metro station Plamondon takes you 10-15 mins walk. Another alternative way to travel is to take bus route 17 or 160 which is downstairs of the hotel. The hotel doesn’t look new but obviously some renovations had been done before. In contrast to those negative comments I read before, I do think that the overall service was not that bad. The breakfast provides muffin, bread with butter and jam, cereals, cornflake, milk, tea and coffee, fruits. There are staff who are on duty at counter all the time I passed by. They are quite helpful. The down sides include the floor layout of the hotel, as there are four rooms which are located at the end of the floor which takes you down 8steps and walk up a few steps again. For elders with big luggage may not be good at all. Besides the janitors use quite heavy bleaching agents to clean the restaurant and public area which creates some stinky strange smell. The interior renovation was rather coarse, air conditioning is a bit noisy. Other than that you can get what you pay for.

I was a bit nervous to see my room after reading reviews. It is a 3 star hotel, not 5 so shouldn’t be compared to a 5 star. It is in need of Renos. Some of the things in the reviews applied to my room: the water in the tub would take forever to go down and would accumulate up to the calvrs. Also the lampshades were dirty. But the room was clean for the most part. Other reviews also mentioned a strong smell. It was strong, but it was like a motel cleaning product smell
