I didn’t expect hotel bookings to be so popular during the Spring Festival holiday. We arrived at Mugen Youth Hostel at around 10 pm on the third day of the Chinese New Year. Since we were traveling as a family, the male and female combination did not quite meet the requirements of the youth hostel. However, the owner was careful and enthusiastic in contacting a room for us. Unfortunately, the surrounding area was too crowded that night. A room usually has six beds, two bathrooms, spacious space, and private storage space. There are public entertainment facilities outside, including a book bar, games, billiards, etc. It is really suitable for young backpackers.

The inn is very easy to find and very clean! It takes only a few minutes to drive to Ximen! The proprietress is super good! Helped to the west gate of Mangshan, and also returned to the inn! The restaurant downstairs tastes very good too! Bacon is delicious... I love her cabbage the most! Before leaving, I also had a meal with the proprietress... This journey is really perfect 😍😍😍😍😍

The hotel is clean, new and really worth the price. If you come with friends/ driving i would recommend the hotel thou. Otherwise It's in the middle of nowhere so make sure you stock up your snacks before coming. Its 22km from the train station which cost me 70rmb taxi to get here, 10km from the lake area. The owners were friendly and kind, offer to help bring my luggage up and down stair, also offer me free noodle for breakfast. walking distanct is less the 1km but you will need to cross the road into the other side first before walking. I didnt understand the owner's explaination so ended up walk 2km, just found that out taking the taxi back😂. overall that was a nice experience.

It's very close to the east gate of Mangshan's Five Finger Peak, perfect for a one-night stay before heading out for a hike the next morning! The rooms are decent, and there's a restaurant where you can order food, which is delicious. The B&B is nestled in the mountains, so the air is quite good, and you can enjoy some fresh air in the rest area at the entrance.

The room had great natural light and was very clean. Most importantly, the location was fantastic, very close to rafting, hot springs, and other scenic spots—only a kilometer or two away. Dining options were also convenient. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, even providing information on sightseeing routes and shuttle bus options. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area.
