The reason for the itinerary, temporarily stayed at Yichang East Station for one night, so I booked an affordable Hiyou Hotel nearby. The hotel is about 3 kilometers away from the entrance of the scenic spot or the visitor center. It is halfway up the hillside and you can see the Yangtze River. The scenery is good. But after all, it’s a B&B with average facilities and simple meals, so I can’t make too many choices. The ground floor reception area was clean and tidy, and the check-in process was seamless. On check-out the next day, I was able to store my luggage at the front desk as I had more exploring to do, and the service was excellent.

The room is very standard. Everything is very clean and nice. The toilet is very local tho. The owners are super nice! It’s an old couple with very good grisly attitude, who provide local simple breakfast and a ride to the airport.

There also have lots of restaurant choices around, a big supermarket and shopping mall next to the hotel. The hotel room is clean with a big picture window which offers a great view of the Yangtze river. The hotel also has a washing machine on-site (laundry detergent is also provided) and can store our luggage so that we can enjoy our last day in Yichang. However, please aware they not provide toiletries and no fringe on site. The front desk staff is nice and suggest a nice local restaurant for our dinner. He also response very quickly on our enquiry via WeChat. The room is definitely value for money.
