The rooms are clean, comfortable, and equipped with all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The host is incredibly kind, gentle, and always willing to help with anything you need. One of the highlights was the homemade breakfast prepared by the family — generous, delicious, and offering a wide variety of dishes each morning. The hotel has a great location, making it easy to explore the city by taxi or public transport (trams and buses)—everything is close by! Inside, it's very clean, and with only a small number of rooms, it's a quiet place to relax. The management and staff are always ready to help at any time of day, creating a cozy, home-like atmosphere, and they speak multiple languages. The rooms have everything needed for a comfortable stay. The breakfasts are delicious and varied, and you can also order food delivery at the front desk. As a memorable touch of Samarkand's hospitality, all guests are given a small gift—which I found wonderfully surprising and delightful! 😊 Thank you for the warm welcome! We set a triple room, the room is very clean, the decoration is very special, the service is very warm, the breakfast is very rich, you can store your luggage, when you leave the store, you also help us arrange a free delivery to the train station, and send a special gift to the store, and also intimately take a photo with us! In short, the accommodation experience is great! The only fly in the ointment is that there are no slippers and shower caps!

Cleanliness: Although the hotel is a bit old, it's incredibly clean and well-maintained. There were no strange odors inside, which shows their excellent housekeeping and odor control. The lobby always had a faint fruity scent, and our room was spotless. Facilities: The hotel breakfast was fantastic! Besides standard items like coffee, tea, milk, juice, and eggs, they offered a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, dairy products, and local pastries every day. For tourists who spend their days exploring, such a high-quality breakfast is essential. The complimentary bottled water in the room daily was also very practical! Service: All hotel staff spoke fluent English and Russian, so communication was never an issue. They were polite, friendly, and always willing to help. We needed to book an English-speaking tour guide for the next day; after explaining it to the front desk, they immediately helped us contact someone and quickly finalized the booking. The day after our tour, upon returning to the hotel, the staff even followed up to ask if we were satisfied with the experience, showing truly excellent service. Environment: The hotel's location is superb, situated within a pedestrian street, making it very safe. Most major attractions are just a 10-minute walk away. There are many guesthouses and shops nearby, and a square not far off where many locals stroll and walk their children after the sunset cools down, making for a very pleasant evening walk. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with our experience at the Sangzor Hotel and highly recommend it to other visitors coming to Samarkand!

Advantages: 1. Excellent location. Approximately a 15-minute walk from Registan Square. 2. The front desk staff were very helpful, assisting with luggage up and down stairs even without an elevator. 3. There's a viewing platform on the third floor with sofas and tables, suitable for leisure travelers. Disadvantages: 1. Room types are not standard; the size of the double rooms varies. When no rooms were available, I was given a triple room with a bed that appeared to be only 0.8 meters wide. 2. There's no POS machine at the front desk, and the prepaid deposit cannot be deducted from the room rate; only cash payment is accepted.

The hotel room is nice and clean and roomy enough. Looked new inside. The beds are comfortable. There are a few restaurants close by not many. No convenience store near by. The closest attraction is 2.8 km away. Breakfast is good. The staffs are very friendly and helpful and can speak English.

Pros: 1. The location is excellent, just a few steps from Registan Square – incredibly convenient! 2. The room size is reasonable, and the facilities are great. There are hot and cold water dispensers on each floor, which is very handy. The room also has a small fridge, perfect for keeping drinks cold in the summer. 3. Downstairs is the hotel's own highly-rated restaurant, and there are two other restaurants nearby, making dining incredibly convenient. There are also small shops around for buying drinks and snacks. 4. As mentioned above, since the hotel has its own restaurant, the breakfast quality goes without saying. 5. The price is reasonable; I stayed in a single room for three nights for just over 500. Cons: The room seemed to have been recently painted, as there were a few drops of paint on the windowsill and mirror.

The front desk staff were incredibly friendly. The breakfast was delicious, and we enjoyed relaxing in the courtyard. However, the room doors and windows are made of glass, so light from outside streams in until around midnight. I wouldn't recommend it for those who want to sleep in complete darkness early, but for anyone else, it's highly recommended! It's close to Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and there's a delicious cake shop nearby too.

A beautiful stay for our 2 nights in Samarkand. Lovely guesthouse, clean and spacious room, clean and functional bathroom, and very welcoming hosts. The location is really excellent, walking distance to Registan square (about 10 mins). Loads of cafes and restaurants in close walking distance also. The breakfast was also lovely and varied. Highly recommend! 25-35000 som taxi ride from the train station.
