I stayed there on a whim, but it was surprisingly good. The breakfast was plentiful, especially the soft-boiled eggs. I imagine this was once an elegant hotel. It is a bit faded now, but still clean and comfortable, The room was nice. The furniture is a bit old and worn, but the room was clean, and the bedding was comfortable, although the beds were short and the pillows a bit hard. The linens and towels were good quality and not old. Toiletries were basic. I never could figure out how to make the air-conditioner blow cooler than 24 C. The large TV offered a variety of free movies. The room was nicely cleaned every day. And, although the teabags were not replenished., ample bottled water was provided. I did not like the view from the window... just the back of the hotel. The hotel is in a good location, beside the river and People's Park. Near the Kite Museum.
