I had an unexpected overnight stay and requested a non-smoking room. When I checked in around midnight, the service was quick, and I was immediately given a room. Thankfully, the room was clean and didn't smell. The next morning, check-out was also swift, so the online taxi waiting for me didn't have to wait long.

Most people visiting Surabaya choose the zoo as an activity, and this hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk away. The surrounding area has a very local, bustling vibe. Right outside, you'll find many street food stalls similar to breakfast spots in China, especially on weekends when Jalan Progo turns into a vibrant market with countless snacks and sundry goods – truly a melting pot of cultures. The hotel's environment and cleanliness are excellent. While there's no bottled water in the room, the water dispenser on each floor is very convenient. Some toiletries need to be requested from the front desk, and the power outlets are only compatible with Indonesian plugs. The call to prayer around 4:30 AM is unavoidable, and the sound insulation from outside isn't great. The breakfast selection isn't vast, but it caters well to a 'Chinese stomach' with fried rice, fried noodles, and noodle soup. Coffee, milk, juice, and other beverages are also available, so you can definitely eat your fill. There's also an in-house coffee station on the ground floor. The service is very enthusiastic. Considering the price, you can't expect too much, but the staff consistently smiles, answers all questions, and even opens doors when you enter or exit – which is already quite impressive.

Business Room 207 was comfortable, clean, and spacious. Business Room 211 was noisy; I could hear the outdoor AC unit, which was very disturbing and uncomfortable. There was a humming sound, and the room was cramped for a business room – not recommended. Breakfast: Lacked variety and felt haphazard. Hotel staff were friendly and responsible. Check-in and check-out process was easy.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the freshly made noodles. The room was clean and comfortable, and the front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. They even offer room service at night, which is perfect for late arrivals.

The location is really strategic, in Gubeng, close to everything. The room is small but quite comfortable, especially because there's a connecting door for families. The bathroom is tiny but decent. Hot water comes out quickly. The only thing is that the shower position isn't ergonomic; it's in the middle-top, so water splashes everywhere. It would probably be better if it were wall-mounted or a handheld shower. Breakfast is fine if you're only staying for one day. It tastes good with a minimalist menu. However, since we stayed for 3 days, eating the same standard breakfast three times became boring. If I hadn't seen other people's reviews, I wouldn't have known you could order omelets/fried eggs. They really should state that it's available and can be ordered. The pool is small but good enough to entertain the kids. The gym is not well-maintained. The treadmill is decent because it still works. The service is pretty good; the staff are responsive and helpful. I borrowed an iron and a hairdryer, and they were delivered quickly. I really appreciate that. Amenities are standard; you still have to ask for slippers. Please update the towels and bed linen. How can they still be used when they're already ripped? In general, with the affordable price and all its pros and cons, this hotel is quite recommendable 👌

This might be the best value-for-money hotel we stayed at during our trip. It was only 100 RMB a night, but the lobby and rooms were very new, and the staff were incredibly enthusiastic. The room had free bottled water and tea bags, and the bathroom was also very clean.

Our room was fine, however the hotel and amenities are a bit old. Located next to some shopping malls and cafes, also there is Indomaret over the corner. There is a spacious parking lot. The buffet breakfast was quite nice, with plenty of options to choose from.

A very good vintage hotel in Surabaya Old Tiown. Loca yes just across Taman Sejarah and near Jembatan Merah. The service is excellent, when I got a warm welcoming letter and a plate of chocolate cake.

One of the good hotels to try. Because there are many strategic places that sell cheap food and sungi because the location is in the middle of housing. The weather is cool and there is also a swimming pool. Suitable for families and couples for weekends or long holidays
