Sammyjake95The hotel was fantastic. We got a free upgrade to a family suite room which was really nice! We only spent 2 days there but I thought everything was good. The hotel seems like it’s been there quite a while and it’s not particularly modern, but they maintain it really well. For that area the price and quality it’s definitely worth a stay!

It is a nature-friendly place. While riding a bike around the hotel, I was able to meet various animals such as coatis, lizards, and iguanas. The beach right in front is beautiful, and there are many restaurants that serve delicious food, so I was happy while staying at the hotel.

I absolutely love this hotel chain. The value for money is excellent. The food is decent, nothing fancy, but there's a huge variety. The staff are attentive. The entertainment is great. This particular hotel has a venue called 'Riu Party' where guests from all Riu Cancun hotels come for parties. The beach is okay, not the most beautiful, but at least there wasn't much seaweed in the water, just a little bit on the shore. The cocktails are alright, though the Margarita was certainly strange; they only made a good one at the Mexican à la carte restaurant. The evening shows aren't that good, they can be a bit boring, but you can always grab a taxi and head into town.

This hotel is in a safe area and doesn't offer all-inclusive. I was out on tours all day, so I really only used it for sleeping.
Amenities include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and a hairdryer. The hairdryer had great power, which was a huge plus. They provide two bottles of water daily; additional bottles cost extra, so I'd recommend heading to the supermarket for more. If you're in a hurry, you can get free water at the gym on the 4th floor.
Toothbrushes and other similar items aren't provided.
The pool is quite shallow, though I didn't actually use it.
There's a large supermarket nearby, so I'd advise using that. There's no kitchen, so self-catering isn't an option.

Guest UserThis hotel was NOT a good choice. It was pleasantly quiet only because it only offered a place to sleep. There was nothing there except a bar and a small pool. We had to go to the adjoining hotel to eat or for any entertainment. We paid for a premier ocean front room and were told that Trip.com sold us a reservation for a room that was not available. We were put in a room overlooking the parking lot, street, and lagoon. They later moved us to another room considered “ocean view” that has a window overlooking the water. The bathroom was so small that there was no room on the tiny vanity to put anything so there was a small ladder in-the corner to put our toiletries on. There was only one lightbulb in the bathroom …in the ceiling. Even though the hotel photos showed a makeup mirror and large vanity with a shelf, we did not have either. The unlighted shower had no shelf and had a shower curtain that did not contain the water so the bathmat and floor were always wet. We had to go over to a window to have any light. There was a small useless desk in the room with no lamp or plug.
The bathrooms in the llobby or around the pool were always dirty with un flushed toilets and wet floors. Several times there was no toilet paper, except on the floor.
The food choices were very limited. We could only go to the a la carte restaurants 3 times … all other meals had to be in the buffet which was in the other hotel. The food there was always cold and worse than fast food…. Probably the worst food we’d had in Mexico in the last 20 yrs of coming here. Looked the same every day. You had to give the hostess your room number and wait to be seated. I guess they wanted to make sure you only came in one time. At one point, after the hostess seated us in the buffet area, a manager came over to our table to tell my husband that we were in the wrong place and needed to move! Not sure why that happened and we were NOT happy about the scene that was created. I found the hostess and told her what occurred . She got the manager and I asked her why she singled us out about where we were sitting. She had no explanation !
The whole experience at this hotel was unpleasant. I would NOT recommend it to anyone . There are much nicer places in Csncun with much better food and accommodations.

Sooo... good hotel, great food. We stayed for 14 days so food is kinda repeating but it is still good quality.
Now... mini bar in room is never ever going to be refilled. I needed to call them multiple times and still not get things inthere. For some reason they really dont want to do it.
Stuff: some GREAT (huge shoutout for a few of the workers from the restaurant), while some are ignorant and dont even know their job. For instance, one morning at the breakfast buffet area the waitress said that they dont offer any other drink than black coffee??? Every day till then and after that one instance i was getting double espresso.
All kn all, worth is.
Btw be aware of the obese people

Stayed here for Christmas. The hotel facilities were just okay, but the sea view was quite nice. The food, however, was very mediocre.

We have been staying at this hotel for many years as a family and we absolutely love it. Super clean and spacious rooms, friendly staff, and great location. The hotel is located within a little bay next to Punta Nizuc that shields the shore from strong ocean currents, so the ocean is calmer. The hotel has access to the lagoon AND the ocean, so you have view to the water on either side of the hotel. The beach was clean and there is a little reef where you can see tropical fish. Super chill and friendly vibe <3

To start with, this wasn’t my first trip to Cancún, and I’d stayed at a few hotels there before—I’m talking about budget options that were still in good locations. This time, I chose Crystal Cancún; it was much more expensive than the other hotels, even though the difference in location wasn’t that significant.
For some reason, when I booked the hotel, (Trip.com) it was listed as all-inclusive, but it turned out not to be. Upon arrival, the hotel asked me to pay an additional $600 USD for the all-inclusive package for 3 nights.
The room I was staying in had a door leading to the neighboring room where other people were staying. It was open. There was absolutely no soundproofing. The window facing the street didn’t close tightly, so you could hear everything.
But I’d like to give a special thanks to the staff and the housekeeping team. The service was excellent.

It was an all-inclusive hotel for families. There are many types of restaurants and the food is delicious, so I was able to spend time without getting bored of the food.
I was able to leave my luggage, change my clothes, and enjoy my meals before the check-in time, and I was grateful for the flexibility.
