I appreciated the excellent location and the convenience it offered, I found that the hotel itself is in need of refurbishment. The facilities felt a bit dated, which impacted my overall comfort during the stay.
Additionally, I was disappointed with the breakfast options. Unfortunately, they did not meet my expectations in terms of variety and quality.
I believe that addressing these areas could significantly enhance the experience for future guests.

The Citadines Xinghai is well situated in the Suzhou CBD just west of Jinji Lake. Our stay was brief, as we arrived on an evening flight and just had the one night. We had a small Studio Suite, which suited us perfectly for a short stay. If staying longer, I would probably suggest upgrading to a bedroom Suite. Great view of the nearby high rises from the room. The hotel is perhaps becoming a bit dated, but still very comfortable and a great location. The staff was super helpful, friendly and welcoming. A nice breakfast, as well. Would certainly recommend Citadines for business travelers.

Walking distance from Suzhou Center Mall.
Breakfast and Gym facilities are limited and laundry corner needs to be paid. Do offer rent cycles free of charge.
But staff is very friendly and helpful.
Would for sure stay here again in the future.

Room is near location (walking distance) of Dec 31 or NYE event in Suzhou. Breakfast is okay as well. Staff speaks very good English.

Locations was convinient , 15 mins walk to the downtown. It's clean but if I compare with their hotel Citadines in Shanghai this one is a little bit older so I will rate with 3.5/4 stars only. Breakfast was nice tho , we had a chance to eat until 10:30am which was amazing since we wanted to sleep a little bit longer.

This was my go to hotel in Suzhou for location and price. The room facilities are excellent - with a fully equipped kitchen. The rooms are not modern but have a dated charm - there is also a window in the bathroom and a bathtub for those that like a soak.
The breakfast is above average.
My one complaint AND IT'S A BIG ONE! In the executive studios the bathroom doors have been wedged open - this is clearly a privacy issue but also the kitchen is next to the bathroom. No-one wants to stare at a toilet while they are cooking lunch. What were the management thinking - ruining a perfectly good room! A couple of stars knocked off until that issue is sorted!
