In the summer, after walking around and getting sweaty, you have to queue just to do laundry. When will they upgrade the laundry facilities?"

"Traveling to Shantang Street with my good friends and our kids, I was getting a headache trying to find a hotel. Luckily, we ended up staying at this hotel right inside the scenic area. The garden-style landscaping is absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. We could easily pop back to the hotel for a rest whenever we got tired. 😄 Our room had one king bed and one twin bed, and the best part is that they were movable, so we could push them together – fulfilling the kids' wish to sleep together! ❤️ The hotel's bathtub was huge; even though we only stayed one night, the kids took two baths and had a blast. The air conditioning was also incredibly powerful, which was an absolute lifesaver in this scorching summer heat!!! The hotel even provided afternoon tea, which, paired with the lotus flowers we bought in the scenic area, made for some fantastic photos – we took dozens, haha. It's especially great for a getaway with your girlfriends because the room has a two-sided mirror, so you can do your makeup together. 😄 The breakfast was delicious and served as a set meal with exquisite presentation. Kids' breakfasts are even complimentary! On top of that, you can feed the fish at the hotel, which the kids absolutely loved, hahaha. Next time we visit Suzhou, we will definitely stay at Zhu again. This summer trip was too hot and rushed; only staying one night was a bit of a shame. P.S. The staff were super nice. Before check-in, they thoughtfully informed us about various convenient transportation options and the hotel's Wi-Fi. All our small requests were met quickly and efficiently. The staff even helped us carry our luggage upstairs, and when we asked the front desk for bottled water, they generously gave us several bottles at once. Truly amazing!"

"Traveling to Jinji Lake during the Mid-Autumn Festival, we stayed at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, a cruise ship-themed hotel by the lake. Opening the window revealed the lake, and we enjoyed the moon by the lakeside on Mid-Autumn night. Moonlight spread across the water, with city lights reflecting the moonlight – a truly delightful Mid-Autumn getaway. In the morning, we took a stroll along the lake, the morning light touching the water, so refreshing and healing. The spiral staircase was perfect for photos, totally enhancing the vacation vibe."

"Service: 100/100 for service. Facilities: Complete, with a gym and a Hanfu experience hall. Ambiance: Chic and elegant. Hygiene: Clean. The location is excellent, probably very close to attractions, a central spot. The check-in experience was great, the staff was attentive, and I received a drink upon arrival 🍹. Most importantly, I did laundry, and the hotel having a self-service laundry was fantastic. A really good stay. I'll choose this place again next time. There's a food street right outside, I loved the flower arrangements in the lobby, and I also tried out the gym. It's very friendly for family travel."

"I always look for more boutique style hotels when I travel in China and this one fit the bill. LOVED MY STAY, and highly recommended. It’s so cute and charming with adorable outdoor seating areas, the rooms are spacious, clean and the beds are SUPER comfortable!!! Great nights sleep. It’s also on a main road, as despite that, was SO quiet. Five stars right there. It’s walking distance to many attractions, you are right next to Pingjiang road, humble gardens, lion gardens, the twin towers, and an easy subway/didi ride from many other great places. The service was impeccable, everyone was extremely kind and very helpful, easy to store luggage, get food delivery, whatever you may need. There is no elevator but they were very helpful in getting luggage up the stairs. Not sure how many floors there are as I was on the second. (Also, they have REAL towels. Past few hotels I’ve stayed in had those disposable towels…which I get but not a fan. There are REAL towels here!!:) Adorable little place, conveniently located, clean and cute! What more could you want??"

(Note: 2 adults, 1 child under 1.2m). Honestly, for a new hotel, the facilities and price are good, but this one issue really bothered me so much that I ended up going to the mall downstairs to buy some expensive Guizhou noodles for dinner instead."

There are plenty of dining options in the nearby commercial street, and it's just a few minutes' walk to the scenic Shantang Street. Transportation in the area is also very convenient. The front desk staff were all very enthusiastic and helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and well worth staying at."

They even delivered takeout, which was quite good. However, there was one downside: the air conditioning in the room was too noisy, making it difficult to sleep all night."

"I specifically chose this hotel for photos, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The atmosphere at the Houju Courtyard Design Hotel (Shangchengmen Branch) in Suzhou was absolutely fantastic. The French retro decor seamlessly blends with the charm of Suzhou. You can see details like Suzhou-style windows and designs inspired by the 'Prosperous Suzhou' painting everywhere. The concept of a garden within a building and a street within a garden, combining ancient and modern, is truly ingenious. Many spots inside the hotel are perfect for stunning photos. It's located in the Shangchengmen vertical cultural tourism district, so the surroundings are lively and full of local flavor. It's also very close to the subway station, and not far from Shantang Street and Changmen. The service was thoughtful and attentive, and the breakfast was delicious. Taking a leisurely stroll in the hotel courtyard and enjoying the slow pace of life made for a very pleasant stay."

"On a family road trip to Suzhou, we found the hotel's location super convenient. It's just a 10-minute walk to Shantang Street and a 5-minute walk to MixC World. We booked three king rooms. They were very spacious, easily meeting five-star standards, and impeccably clean with smart toilets. The breakfast was plentiful, and downstairs there are several century-old Suzhou cuisine restaurants. The best part was definitely the hotel's view. From the 28th floor, you get a panoramic view of the entire city of Suzhou, perfect for photos! It's a fantastic hotel, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou."
