This time I took advantage of the weekday to stay for one night, and I was not disappointed. The weather was very good, and the lake was shining blue. Recommended."

"This guesthouse offers a fantastic view of Taihu Lake, which you can enjoy right from your room. The beautiful ancient village next door is open for free in the evenings and isn't over-commercialized. The loquat farmers near Huguo Dragon King Temple are very friendly. Some rooms were being renovated, and the owner kindly upgraded us for free to avoid any noise. Each room has a fridge stocked with drinks and mineral water, and the afternoon tea was a nice touch. They even gave us a small gift when we checked out. While the room rate is a bit higher than other guesthouses, it's absolutely worth every penny. I'm not a shill, I genuinely recommend Shuilu Guesthouse, and I'll definitely be back next April. Just a small suggestion for the owner: consider listing on other travel platforms too, as I couldn't find Shuilu on any other apps when I was looking. Wishing you great success!"

"I found a treasure in Suzhou's Xishan District! This Island Mood B&B truly has "healing" etched into its heart. The location is perfect. Just opening the window, you can see the shimmering waters of Taihu Lake. Wake up to birdsong in the morning, and sit on the terrace in the evening, watching the sunset paint the lake a golden red. Every photo you take is a wallpaper-worthy picture! The room is warm and stylish, and the bedding is as soft as clouds. You can spend an entire afternoon just curled up and enjoying the lake view. Every staff member is so nice and service-oriented. The one-hour KTV included in the package was free, even though we didn't make a reservation later. Such a thoughtful touch! I'll definitely be back! Upon check-out, everyone was given a cup of coffee. So sweet and thoughtful! Come on, ladies! Just snapped some photos without filters! It's very close to Shigong Mountain and Mingyuewan Ancient Village. After a tiring day, come back for a bath and fall asleep to the lake breeze—that's what a vacation should be like! I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xishan. I'm already missing that lake view."

"The location is super convenient, nestled right between the West Garden Temple scenic area and the Jinji Lake new district in the east. It's also right next to Universal Plaza, offering a wide array of dining options. The hotel has a Chinese bamboo forest theme, but the guest room building itself doesn't try too hard to be ancient; the modern architectural style blends perfectly with the bamboo groves and water features. The decor is new, and the hardware, like the bathrooms and TVs, is high-end. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent. The gym is fantastic, fully equipped, and even has a small swimming pool. Service is warm and welcoming. There's ample staff in the lobby, and they're very attentive with luggage and guiding guests during check-in. During my stay, I needed assistance with the bidet, and the repair process and response showed clear training. The first round of drinks and alcohol in the room is complimentary. A typhoon disrupted my plans, and the hotel even provided free breakfast. Breakfast was excellent. The food tasted great, and there was a wide selection (they even had young coconuts!). The freshly made dishes at the live stations were impressive, and the coffee was above average. It's a pet-friendly hotel; the room numbers are cute little cat paw signs. The lobby's working 'concierge dog' is an 85-pound, 3-year-old 'pig-puller' named Kelly, who is incredibly gentle. Both kids and adults can pet her as much as they like."

The surroundings here are beautiful, with small bridges and flowing water, really showcasing Suzhou's unique charm. It takes only a short walk to reach Guangqian Street, and having the metro station just minutes away was a huge plus for our sightseeing in Suzhou.The staff here are truly wonderful. Emma at the front desk was incredibly welcoming and always ready to help with any questions. The front-door staff were equally impressive—always polite, attentive, and very helpful with our bags whenever we arrived or departed.An incredible team that goes the extra mile for their guests. The front desk lady was exceptionally kind; she noticed I had two different room types booked for consecutive nights and proactively upgraded me to a room with a better view, saving me the hassle of changing rooms. I just regret not getting her name! These two days were definitely the most comfortable during my entire stay in Suzhou. I'll definitely stay here again next time and recommend it to my friends."
