Suzhou Business Hotels

Both receptionists were very friendly and offered tea during check-in. They also kindly asked if I wanted a room upgrade and breakfast. It was a pleasant stay.

My wife and I first stayed here in 2016, before we were married. Now, our child is almost ready for elementary school. Our experience back then was already great, and after the renovation, everything is still top-notch. Even with many guests, the hotel is well-maintained and the environment is quite clean. They even prepared gifts for our child. BUT! I don't understand the design of the connecting door between our room and the adjacent one; the soundproofing is practically non-existent... I'm not sure if this is only the case for suites, but the family next door with a child was up and noisy in the middle of the night, so we ended up going to sleep in the early hours as well... Also, for a room rate of over 4,000, the drinks in the minibar are surprisingly chargeable... We had a small bottle of 'Tea Pie' and kiwi juice, totaling 46. Otherwise, everything else was fine, and overall, I'd give it a good review.

Suning Ya Yue Zhangjiagang - stayed for 6 nights in a spacious executive queen room. The hotel occupies levels 7-9 above the electronics shopping mall and is accessed by a doorway at the west end of the building. The executive queen rooms are in the curved South East corner of the building facing the intersection and river and have panoramic floor to ceiling glass that can't be opened. They are only single glazed but are quiet at night due to the lack of traffic. The other outward facing rooms have normal aluminium sliding windows and would probably be noisy. They also have inward facing rooms with windows facing a void that would be very quiet but not very light. The aircon in my room worked well but I had to choose from different floors for heating or cooling at check in. The large blockout curtains worked very well. Universal power points and USB outlets next to the big bed. There was no mini bar or in-room safe in my room. There was a kettle with tea but no coffee. The breakfast buffet had limited choices but eggs to order are offered. No butter was available for the sweet bread slices. The machine coffee was actually okay. The hallways are carpeted to limit noise but the carpet is very, very dirty and very worn, which really lowers the quality of the hotel. It's in easy walking distance to the newly opened lovely Yancheng Old Town restaurant area and directly across from the large Mambat Mall and big Freshippo supermarket (Basement 1). This is a Chinese hotel with very little English but all of the staff were very friendly and helpful and very patient with my lack of Chinese. I also had no trouble getting parts delivered to the hotel during my stay. I would probably stay again but they really need to get new carpet....

The hotel is a bit far from the city center, but it's conveniently located if you're planning to visit the nearby mountains or Taihu Lake. Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall with a Cha Yan Yue Se (tea house), making dining and shopping very convenient. Although this is a Marriott extended-stay brand, we discovered it's a hidden gem for families with kids. During the May Day holiday, they had daily kids' activities. On our check-in day, we participated in a kite-painting activity at the lobby bar, and after painting, we flew the kites on the lawn in front of the hotel. My child had an absolute blast! We were assigned the smallest suite and received complimentary welcome desserts. The front desk staff, noticing we had a child, proactively sent kids' toiletries to our room, which felt like a very thoughtful touch. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, perfectly meeting the needs of an extended stay.

I chose to stay at the Wanda Jin Hotel during our family trip to Zhangjiagang with the kids. First, I have to highlight the most impressive service – a special shout-out to Xiaoyue at the front desk! From the moment we walked in, she greeted us warmly and accompanied us every step of the way, from the lobby to the elevator and even to the parking lot, showing meticulous care and thoughtfulness. Her 180-degree bow during check-in was incredibly sincere and heartwarming. When we encountered a minor issue during our stay, Xiaoyue promptly communicated with us and efficiently helped us resolve it. She was patient and professional throughout, with absolutely no perfunctory attitude! I also want to commend a housekeeping manager (a slightly chubby gentleman). After we checked in, we had a small problem in our room, and he immediately came up to take a look and quickly resolved it. His attitude was sincere, genuine, and polite, which made us feel very warm. He even stayed with us late into the night until the issue was completely resolved! A big thank you again to the front desk and the manager for their enthusiastic hospitality! Even though the hotel is newly renovated, there was absolutely no strange odor, which made me feel very secure bringing my children – a huge plus point. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with our experience, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time!

We stayed 1 night in this lovely hotel on a Sunday night. We managed to check in early at 1 pm and was upgraded from the 30 sqm king room we booked to a larger 41 sqm room. The room is new and used lovely bath amenities, an Australian hotel brand. Our stay came with a set dinner for 2 persons and the food was delicious. The pricing in the hotel restaurant is similar or cheaper than any other regular Chinese restaurant outside. We paid the next day at lunch time to eat Chinese food at the hotel again as the restaurant environment is nice and service is good. They have a very well equipped gym which unfortunately we did not have time to use during our 24 hour stay. Our room rate included breakfast and the selection was generous, the only negative would be the coffee beans they used are too acidic but that’s a personal preference. The location of the hotel is slightly to 1 side of the Suzhou old city but some sights like 网师园 are walking distance. Suzhou city is actually quite spread out, no one location is best for sightseeing. The great thing is didi only cost less than RMB10 per ride from this hotel so it is still very convenient. I would not bother with the Suzhou subway, it is not as convenient as the one in Shanghai. Oh yes, the cable TV have english programming which is nice for a hotel in China. I believe this Artyzen Habitat brand is managed by the Macau Shun Tak group. Will stay here again for good value and service. 这个酒店非常好，值得回来再住。五星级的设施，四星级的价钱。

The room is clean and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable vacation. The location is splendid as it is located right beside Times Square and the IFS tower. The reception was very helpful with all the request made and is available 24/7. Would definitely recommend this place for families travelling to Suzhou.

The room facilities are very new, and the hygiene is excellent – not a hint of any strange odors. I'm quite sensitive to smells, but after two days here, I haven't experienced any itching. Most importantly, it's very quiet. Yet, it's only a ten-minute taxi ride to places like Pingjiang Road and Shantang Street. Public buses and the subway also offer direct routes, making it incredibly convenient. I highly recommend everyone stay here. If I come to Suzhou again, I'll definitely choose this hotel.

The environment is great, and the facilities are comprehensive. It seems to be an apartment hotel with a history and a good reputation. It's a one-bedroom, one-living room unit with a bathtub. You have to stand in the tub to shower, which I'm not used to – it's a bit narrow and inconvenient. I'm more accustomed to a dedicated shower box. The bedroom and living room are separated by sliding doors. There's no space for nightstands on either side of the large bed, which I also found inconvenient (although you can put things on the headboard). My feet kept hitting the sliding door when getting out of bed, which was annoying. What I did like was the high floor, the view, and the microwave and tableware provided.

Haha, I found a bargain. The check-in experience was great! The front desk staff is warm and thoughtful, the room is clean and tidy, the bedding is comfortable, the breakfast is rich in variety, and the location is very convenient. Highly recommended!
