3-Star Hotels in Suzhou

The hotel's location is in the core area of Pingjiang Road, and it's also very close to the Couple's Retreat Garden, within walking distance. It's a quiet oasis amidst the bustling crowds; while outside is swarming with people, the hotel itself is incredibly peaceful. The complimentary Pingtan (storytelling and ballad singing) performance was very professional, featuring both performance and commentary, along with tea and small snacks. The atmosphere was fantastic. Right behind the hotel is the Kunqu Opera Museum, but we went to the Zhuangyuan Mansion to listen to Kunqu in the evening, which wasn't far either, just a short walk. A major advantage of this hotel is its incredible convenience for sightseeing. You can truly experience the prosperity and charm of Pingjiang Road, and when you're tired, you can just return to the hotel to rest, then head back out to explore after recharging. There are many delicious eateries downstairs… It's very convenient for traveling with seniors and children. If I had to point out a downside, it's that the location is too central, making it difficult to get a taxi. We had a lot of luggage and had to push it through the crowds for about 500 meters to the main road before we could hail a taxi. It also felt like taxi drivers were reluctant to come to that area, probably because of the sheer number of people and traffic congestion. However, I noticed that the subway station is about the same distance (we saw the subway station not long after getting a taxi). For those traveling light or with backpacks, taking the subway would be more convenient.

This hotel's location is fantastic; it's right outside Metro Exit 5. We, two moms with four kids, arrived around 9 PM, and the front desk staff warmly checked us in. Initially, I was worried the rooms would be small, like the one we stayed in Hangzhou (the Home Inn by West Lake), but these rooms were bright, spacious, and very clean. They even have a laundry room with a dryer that works quickly and efficiently—it dried two days' worth of clothes for our group of six in just 60 minutes. The hotel breakfast was also clean and offered a good variety. Every staff member we encountered was smiling and very polite, making us feel right at home.

Our stay exceeded expectations. The room was bright and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The location is the biggest highlight, being close to Lin Dun Road Metro Station, which made getting to all the attractions very convenient. The service was attentive and responsive, and the public facilities were comprehensive. For this location, it offers excellent value for money and is a reliable accommodation choice for visiting Suzhou. Our child loved the rocking horse, and the staff provided excellent service, even helping with our luggage and giving us a small gift. We're very grateful!

We had a lovely two-night stay at Wenlv Gusu Yard Hotel Donghuali and were very satisfied overall. The hotel has great facilities, a wonderful location, and extremely kind staff. We were also generously upgraded, which made the stay even nicer. The location is excellent - right in the middle of Suzhou old town, on the main pedestrian street, close to key shops, restaurants, and tea places. Since cars cannot enter this part of the old town, the nearest drop-off point is about a 3-minute walk away. Despite being so central, the room was very quiet because the windows faced the side/back areas and the courtyard walls helped create a calm atmosphere. Communication before arrival was very clear. We received a helpful message with all the details on how to get there, including the best DiDi drop-off point, check-in information, stay details, and Wi-Fi instructions. Our room was clean, modern, and very cozy, with a thoughtful mix of traditional character and contemporary comfort. While the room was on the smaller side compared with a standard chain hotel, it never felt cramped. The layout was well designed, the natural light made the space feel open, and the overall atmosphere was warm, calm, and intimate - very much in line with the feeling of a boutique stay in a restored old-town building. The room had windows on each side, allowing for good natural light and airflow, as well as blackout curtains. The bed was very comfortable - on the softer side, which we appreciated, but still supportive. The bathroom came with all necessary amenities and products, and, importantly, did not have any stale water smell, which can sometimes be an issue in hotels in China. The bathroom does not have a traditional door, but there is a non-see-through privacy curtain with magnets on the sides, which worked well and was not a problem for us. The room was also very practical: it included complimentary drinks, including soft drinks, tea, and water, a small refrigerator, and international electricity sockets, which was very convenient for foreign travellers. One especially lovely detail was the climbing jasmine just outside the window - when there was a breeze, the scent came into the room, which was beautiful. The hotel also has two small balconies with seating, offering lovely views over the Suzhou skyline and Gusu rooftops - a nice spot for morning coffee or doing some work. The stairs are quite narrow and there is no elevator, but the staff kindly helped us with our suitcases. The pond and terrace area outside was also lovely, although because of some construction work we could not fully enjoy it during our stay. This was not a problem for us. Breakfast was served as a breakfast box with nine small dishes. The staff also kindly made us coffee and provided milk upon request. There was yogurt as well, which was appreciated. Most of all, the staff were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. They helped with luggage, accommodated our breakfast requests, and made us feel very welcome. Overall, this is a lovely boutique hotel for families, friend groups, or solo travellers who enjoy peace and calmness, while still wanting a modern yet traditional stay right in the centre of Suzhou old town. We would happily recommend it!

Our family chose Fiman Hotel for our trip to Suzhou. It's just a few steps from Pingjiang Road, so after exploring the ancient streets in the evening, we could leisurely stroll back to the hotel. The room was spotless, and the bed was perfectly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk staff were also very kind and answered all our questions. There are many snack shops nearby, and getting around was incredibly convenient. We were very satisfied with our stay.

This hotel is converted from a part of Wu Tingchen's former residence, a top scholar in the Qing Dynasty, giving it a very antique exterior. It's very close to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, just a 10-minute walk away, so the location is excellent. The surrounding area is very down-to-earth, with small shops and many businesses nearby, so you won't have to worry about food, drinks, or entertainment. The hotel rooms are beautiful and well-decorated, and they're equipped with a smart assistant.

During our recent stay at this wonderful hotel, we were exceptionally satisfied with every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the hotel staff who came out to meet us at the scenic area entrance and assisted with our luggage. Our room was spacious and beautifully appointed, providing a restful haven where we enjoyed a comfortable night's sleep. It truly is a fantastic place to relax and unwind. One of the highlights of our stay was the delightful afternoon tea, particularly the grain snacks which were so delicious that we requested the hotel staff to help purchase and courier some to Shanghai for us to bring home. Their willingness to accommodate our request added a special touch to our experience. Breakfast at the hotel was another standout. The porridge, in particular, was so delectable that the hotel kindly gave us a pack of the rice used to prepare it. This gesture was much appreciated and spoke volumes about their commitment to guest satisfaction. Overall, our stay at this hotel was nothing short of exceptional. We wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and pleasant retreat. If we return to this area, we will undoubtedly choose to stay here again.

My stay here exceeded expectations! The hotel lobby is spacious and bright, with plenty of seating in the lounge area. Check-in was very efficient, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The room has a simple, modern design. I hadn't realized I booked a windowless room, but the front desk attendant was lovely and upgraded us to a room with windows. The space was open and airy, with great natural light from the two windows, and the view of the lush greenery outside was incredibly pleasant. The desk in the room was wide, perfect for working, and the wardrobe with a built-in light was a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was clean and tidy, with a separate wet and dry area, and all the toiletries were provided. The overall cleanliness was excellent, the environment was quiet at night, and the bedding was comfortable, leading to a great night's sleep. I highly recommend this hotel! (The restaurant recommended by the front desk was super delicious!)

We enjoyed our stay! The room was warm during cold autumn nights. Location is convenient too - near supper spots and Pingjiang Road. Also great and thoughtful service when communicating with the owne! :)
