Took my kids to Suzhou Tongli Lake Hotel for a weekend stay. Their logo is a hoopoe bird, and the experience exceeded our expectations!
The room was new, spotless, and thoughtfully detailed, making our stay incredibly relaxing and comfortable. The family-friendly facilities were fantastic: outdoors, you can feed bunnies, and the kids' play area was clean and safe – my child didn't want to leave! The heated pool had crystal-clear water, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy.
The buffet offered fresh, diverse, and delicious food with plenty of choices.
On Sunday morning, we did a travel photoshoot in the Suzhou-style garden right next to the hotel. With its white walls, dark-tiled roofs, winding corridors, and ornate windows, every step offered a picturesque scene.
It's a wonderful family-friendly hotel with a serene environment and attentive service!

Guest UserI had a surprisingly wonderful experience staying at the Crowne Plaza Suzhou. The cruise ship-shaped building is very distinctive, and its location by Jinji Lake is truly exceptional. Right outside, there's a lakeside promenade, and it's very close to Suzhou Center and the Gate of the Orient, making shopping and sightseeing incredibly convenient. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable layout. The bedding was soft and skin-friendly, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The bathroom amenities were complete, and the attention to detail was impressive. The front desk staff were humble and polite; check-in was efficient and smooth, and they were prompt and thoughtful in responding to requests. The hotel's public areas had a great ambiance, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, catering to different tastes. In my free time, I enjoyed strolling along the lake, admiring the city's night view, which truly enhanced the vacation feel. It's perfect for both tourist travel and short-term stays. I'll definitely choose this hotel first on my next visit to Suzhou. I genuinely recommend it to everyone.

Guest UserWe had a lovely two-night stay at Wenlv Gusu Yard Hotel Donghuali and were very satisfied overall. The hotel has great facilities, a wonderful location, and extremely kind staff. We were also generously upgraded, which made the stay even nicer.
The location is excellent - right in the middle of Suzhou old town, on the main pedestrian street, close to key shops, restaurants, and tea places. Since cars cannot enter this part of the old town, the nearest drop-off point is about a 3-minute walk away. Despite being so central, the room was very quiet because the windows faced the side/back areas and the courtyard walls helped create a calm atmosphere.
Communication before arrival was very clear. We received a helpful message with all the details on how to get there, including the best DiDi drop-off point, check-in information, stay details, and Wi-Fi instructions.
Our room was clean, modern, and very cozy, with a thoughtful mix of traditional character and contemporary comfort. While the room was on the smaller side compared with a standard chain hotel, it never felt cramped. The layout was well designed, the natural light made the space feel open, and the overall atmosphere was warm, calm, and intimate - very much in line with the feeling of a boutique stay in a restored old-town building. The room had windows on each side, allowing for good natural light and airflow, as well as blackout curtains. The bed was very comfortable - on the softer side, which we appreciated, but still supportive.
The bathroom came with all necessary amenities and products, and, importantly, did not have any stale water smell, which can sometimes be an issue in hotels in China. The bathroom does not have a traditional door, but there is a non-see-through privacy curtain with magnets on the sides, which worked well and was not a problem for us.
The room was also very practical: it included complimentary drinks, including soft drinks, tea, and water, a small refrigerator, and international electricity sockets, which was very convenient for foreign travellers. One especially lovely detail was the climbing jasmine just outside the window - when there was a breeze, the scent came into the room, which was beautiful.
The hotel also has two small balconies with seating, offering lovely views over the Suzhou skyline and Gusu rooftops - a nice spot for morning coffee or doing some work. The stairs are quite narrow and there is no elevator, but the staff kindly helped us with our suitcases. The pond and terrace area outside was also lovely, although because of some construction work we could not fully enjoy it during our stay. This was not a problem for us.
Breakfast was served as a breakfast box with nine small dishes. The staff also kindly made us coffee and provided milk upon request. There was yogurt as well, which was appreciated.
Most of all, the staff were extremely kind, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. They helped with luggage, accommodated our breakfast requests, and made us feel very welcome.
Overall, this is a lovely boutique hotel for families, friend groups, or solo travellers who enjoy peace and calmness, while still wanting a modern yet traditional stay right in the centre of Suzhou old town. We would happily recommend it!

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

1100123121I made a last-minute decision to visit Suzhou and found a hotel on Guanqian Street. The room rate is usually around 300 RMB, a bit more expensive on weekends, but considering its location on Guanqian Street, it's really good value for money. I was very satisfied with my stay this time.
The room was very spacious, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Each bed in the twin room was 1.35 meters wide, very large and comfortable, allowing me to instantly relax.
Upon check-in, we received complimentary welcome fruits, and the room service was very prompt. What I loved most was the breakfast; they even offered Su-style noodles! The red soup noodles had the unique broth of Aozao noodles. The toppings provided were also classic Su-style breakfast toppings, delicious!
Overall, I was very pleased with my stay and the excellent service. Being right on Guanqian Street meant everything was convenient – dining, accommodation, and transportation. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

PangiegieThis is an old, established 5-star garden-style hotel, quite similar to the Xizi Hotel in Hangzhou. The rooms are clean, hygienic, and tidy. Breakfast offers a good variety, and the taste is decent. Parking is convenient, and it's close to popular attractions like the Humble Administrator's Garden, Lion Grove Garden, and Pingjiang Road, all just a 10-15 minute taxi ride away. I stayed during Typhoon White Dolphin, so it rained heavily for two days. Unfortunately, Pingjiang Road and Hanshan Temple were closed, which was a bit of a shame. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit to Suzhou. Another great point is how convenient it is for self-drivers, with easy parking. The last two photos are just some breakfast snaps.

ghmhappyThis resort is a bit old, and the facilities do show their age. However, you can tell it was built to a high standard, with spacious rooms, a separate wet and dry area, double sinks, and a large bathroom with an automatic toilet. The shower stall is an add-on next to the bathtub, and the water pressure is excellent, making for a very comfortable shower. It has all the amenities of a standard hotel, and since it focuses on families, all table corners are child-proofed. Kids' slippers, bathrobes, toothbrushes, and footstools are all provided. The courtyard has a carousel, go-karts, a playground, a mini-train, and even small animals – kids are sure to have a great time. The front desk called before, during, and after check-in to ask about our needs and our stay, promptly resolving any issues. For that, I'm happy to give five stars. Breakfast offered a good variety, though the pastries and baked goods were a bit subpar. There's also a late-night congee served at 8 PM. You can really see the effort put in by the hotel management.

John SoCame to Suzhou for Zhou Shen's concert. The hotel is in the city center, right next to Suzhou Museum and Humble Administrator's Garden, making it super convenient for getting around. There are lots of restaurants nearby and 24-hour supermarkets. Guests also get discounts on tickets to attractions. The room was clean, and the front desk staff were really friendly and helpful.

yoyoThe ultimate one-stop destination for families with kids! No need to venture out, both adults and children had a blast!
The hotel facilities are truly comprehensive, featuring its own children's water park. There's a shallow pool and small slides for younger kids, the water quality is clean, and the lifeguards are always on duty, which was very reassuring. My child played there happily all afternoon and didn't want to leave.
After playing, we went straight to the hot spring area to relax. With dozens of different wellness pools and mild water temperatures, soaking there was incredibly soothing and perfectly relieved the fatigue from playing in the water.
Besides the water park and hot springs, there's also an indoor play area, parent-child DIY crafts, and a children's restaurant – everything you need for eating, staying, and playing is available right within the hotel, truly offering a one-stop vacation experience. The room was clean and spacious, and they thoughtfully provided amenities like children's toothbrushes and small slippers. The staff were friendly, and check-in was efficient. We didn't have to worry about a thing regarding our itinerary. We'll definitely come back for our next family vacation with the kids.

Guest UserTraveling to Suzhou with a friend, I was looking for a hotel that would offer an immersive, antique experience of Jiangnan's charm, and this Art Mansion Hotel truly didn't disappoint. The hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of Pingjiang Road. Step outside, and you're directly on the ancient flagstone street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining.拙政园 (Humble Administrator's Garden), 狮子林 (Lion Grove Garden), and the Suzhou Museum are all within walking distance. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling crowds; the moment you enter, the outside noise fades away. The民國 (Republic of China) retro-style decor, with its wooden furnishings and small courtyard landscapes, creates an incredibly atmospheric vibe – any photo taken here looks like it's straight out of a Jiangnan blockbuster. The rooms are tastefully designed, blending ancient elegance with modern comfort. The smart devices are very convenient to use, the bedding is soft, and the hygiene is impeccable. The hotel also features a charming small courtyard. After a day of exploring the ancient streets, coming back to relax in the courtyard is incredibly therapeutic. The service is thoughtful and attentive; every time we returned, the butler would warmly greet us and even share tips on local delicacies and places to avoid, truly giving us a taste of Suzhou's local culture. Staying right on Pingjiang Road, falling asleep to the sounds of the water town's lively atmosphere, truly experiencing the slow pace of life in Gusu. Waking up in the morning, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast personally prepared by an auntie. Although the restaurant is small, it's clean and tidy. The breakfast selection isn't vast but is nutritious, featuring coarse grains like sweet potatoes and corn, and homemade porridge to gently awaken your morning appetite. There are also eggs and milk for protein, plus coffee, fruit, and rice cakes – more than I could even finish! The auntie would proactively ask if I had enough and if there was anything else I needed, which truly warmed my heart. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Suzhou.
