Very clean toilet, properly separated toilet area and shower area, room is ingerestingly designed, even though it is a hostel, but each bed is separated into a small room and there is enough space for you to keep your luggage 😁 The reception staffs are super friendly, and they have a proper storage syatem, so you may drop your luggage with them before check in. Location wise , it is situated near an extended exit of the metro station, however if you exit from Entrance 1B of the metro station, it is still easy to walk to the hostel. There are free water and tea in the living area, and theh have a study room in case you need to do online meeting. Keep up the good work and I will definitely visit again if I am going to Suzhou!

Shaohua Youth Hostel is located at No. 16, Shilinsi Lane, Gusu District, Suzhou, only 3 kilometers away from Suzhou Railway Station. The surrounding transportation is convenient, more than 300 meters away from Exit 1 of Humble Administrator's Garden Subo Station of Metro Line 6, and only more than 200 meters away from Humble Administrator's Garden Subo Bus Station. The hostel is located in the core area of the ancient city (Pingjiang Road Scenic Area of the Humble Administrator's Garden), the Pingjiang Road Historic District is one of the most well-preserved areas of the ancient city, basically continuing the pattern of the city since the Tang and Song dynasties, and the branch alleys on both sides are mostly historic alleys, parallel to water and land, where tourists can feel the original Jiangnan water town style. Diagonally opposite the hostel is the Lion Forest, 300 meters away from Pingjiang Road, 400 meters away from Suzhou Museum and Humble Administrator's Garden, and there are many famous scenic spots such as Coupling Garden, East Garden, Shuangta Market, Guanqian Street, Shiquan Street and so on. Attractions such as Qili Mountain Pond, Hanshan Temple, Lingering Garden, Xiyuan Temple, and Tiger Hill can be reached by subway or car.
The hostel is a detached three-storey building in the middle of nowhere, with large windows (no darkroom) in each room, which allows for light and ventilation. The room is equipped with solid wood home decoration material beds (no harmful industrial particle boards), brand latex mattresses, comfortable bedding, and 24-hour hot water. The first floor is equipped with a café, a 100-inch LCD TV, and a leather sofa, creating a new social space for young friends! It is very suitable for backpackers who come to visit the old town of Suzhou.

The hotel does the job for a short stay (I stayed one night) but I don’t know if I would’ve stayed longer. The soundproof is very poor: I could hear noises from outside, coming from the street (which is fine), but also within the hostel (which I didn’t like). I don’t think I should be able to hear people talking and walking. The men’s bathroom was next to my room so if the door was opened (which it was, at 7 am), I could hear the strident noise of a hairdryer. It also wasn’t convenient that there was only one women’s bathroom for all floors, which only had two toilets. The morning I had cramps and wanted to go to the toilet, the two stalls were occupied and of course they were still full even though I waited a few minutes. I asked if there was another toilet and the receptionist told me there was a public restroom on Pingjiang Road, without any other indication. So I went to the one I found the day before, in my pajamas, and it was weird. The hostel should have more toilet stalls. These are what I disliked the most. Otherwise the location is very convenient and the other receptionist was nice, same thing for the common room/hostel lobby. I didn’t mind the candy wrapper I found on the ”nightstand”, nor having to make my own bed, but don’t arrive too late otherwise it’ll be even more 麻烦.

On the good side it is located 50m from the metro station, and the area around the hotel is the best to stay in Suzhou, most of the attractions are within walking distance. The room also have flat screen tv and double bed for a very cheap price. On the bad side the bathrooms and toilets were not cleaned often enough, and the room was not that clean, although it was still passable. But overall a solid option to stay in Suzhou, for the location the price is very attractive.

I would rate this as 5 star hostel! The best hostel I've had stay ever! Check in process was very smooth, friendly, responsive and helpful staff! They provided almost everything, a bottle of water will be put beside your bed everyday, highly recommended to everyone who travel to Suzhou! Will definitely be back again! Not forget to mention, the hostel located at 11th floor and you're able to see nice view of suzhou

The first time I stayed in the Youth Hostel, I didn't know much about the youth hostel. The overall feeling was very good. Every day, people came to clean up. The beds were very clean and the sheets could be changed every day. The roommates are also very friendly and polite. There is a bathroom on the second floor, the food city is downstairs, and it is very close to the railway station and subway station. The landlord’s brother is also very good and has a good attitude. Maybe the Youth Hostel belongs to young people to live in, a recommended youth hostel!

It was a great experience. The hostel is very easy to find. The hostess at the front desk speaks English very well and was very nice and friendly. I have stayed in a 4 beds female room for one night. The room was great, it provided sleepers, sheets and even had air conditionning. The showers are okay. The good point was having products in the shower : shampoo, hair conditioner, body wash and even a cleanser for the face ! It was very calm the night that I have stayed. The common space is nice and cozy. I didn't but you can order drinks or brekfast there. It is close to the subway, just a few steps from the bus stop, there a plenty of restaurants in the street and a supermarket across the road. I highly recommend this hostel.

Facilities: The Youth Hostel is open in the community. I feel that the space is relatively large when I go in. Unlike ordinary youth hostels, it feels a bit narrow, and there is a kitchen inside. The lighting is very good. It won't give people a very gloomy feeling.
I have a travel experience alone, so in order to save money, I will live three or four times in the youth travel, the quilt of this store is very dry. So it is softer. The boss is also more enthusiastic. Knowing that I came to take the exam to get me water to drink.
When I was doing group performances in Hengdian before, the youth traveler obviously had not been exposed to the sun. The people living with the back had a large rash on their hands and feet, which should be eczema or bitten by bugs.
There are also two cute cats in this house. I highly recommend it, it feels really good, great value for money.

YYonghu77477Hygienic: The whole is still relatively clean, there is no moldy wall falling off. I brought my own disposable quilt cover pillowcase, so there is no allergy and itchy.
Service: Auntie will come to clean every day, I tell her to take out the garbage.
Location: I think the location is OK, 800m walk from the subway, there is a Lingyan Mountain Scenic Area next to it, and it is also close to Mudu. But it is still a little distance to Pingjiang Road and Suzhou Paradise.
Cost-effective: I think the price is high. I went during May Day. I booked the hotel more than 20 days in advance. The surrounding area of Pingjiang Road is too expensive. Xiangxuehai is also expensive. It is not easy for my two students to afford it. In this hotel for two days, 500➕, the price is still relatively affordable during May 1st, and the whole is clean and tidy. There is no elevator, but it is also climbs the two floors and it is not high.

GGuest UserVery, very, very good experience! The store took the initiative to communicate with us about the room type before check-in. The rooms are very clean and each room has a separate bathroom, which is very convenient. There are mahjong tables and game consoles, pure time killer 👏
The Chinese food in the yard is super delicious, and no one stepped on thunder after ordering a few dishes. The price is very reasonable in the farmhouse, and the amount of dishes is very large.
There are a few caged cats in the lobby and at the entrance of the western restaurant. There is a small farm behind the house, there are sheep, ducks, geese and rabbits running around.
There are a few small villas with many rooms, and it feels quite suitable for group building.

The guesthouse is very close to the subway station and the transportation nearby is very convenient. If you are traveling by car, it can also provide you with parking space. The owners of Hantu Hotel are very friendly, they will take the initiative to help passengers with their luggage and patiently help you check in. What I can't praise enough is how clean and tidy the rooms are. In addition, hot water is available in the shower 24 hours. The owner of the hotel prepared the toiletries thoughtfully. I had a very comfortable stay at Hantu Guesthouse. I would not hesitate to choose Hantu again if I need to stay in the area again.

GGuest UserI took my kids to Xishan for a weekend trip. The linens in the room were good quality and the room was very clean. The bathroom was very interesting, with the overall decoration of a motorhome, simple and clean. You can park your car in the parking lot downstairs, and there is a local specialty restaurant next to it. At this price, it is still worth recommending.
