Guest UserTraveling solo to Suzhou for a short trip, I compared many hotels on Ctrip and finally settled on the Anyi Hotel. Overall, it was excellent value for money. The hotel facilities are quite new, the room layout is practical, and there are plenty of power outlets, making it very convenient to charge phones and power banks. The bathroom had consistent water pressure and hot water came quickly, meeting all daily living needs. The room wasn't large but didn't feel cramped, and there was ample storage space for luggage and personal belongings. The location is a significant plus; the metro and bus stops are not far, making it easy to get to Humble Administrator's Garden and Suzhou Museum, saving a lot on transportation costs. The hotel isn't on a noisy main street, so it's very quiet at night, allowing for a good night's rest. The price is very competitive for the Guanqian Street and Pingjiang Road area, with no inflated premium. For travelers who prioritize practicality and value for money, this hotel comes highly recommended; overall, it was a great choice.

Jiafeibushimao~miaoLocation📍The hotel is right at the entrance of Shajiabang Scenic Area. It belongs to Huazhu Club with the Huajianting next door. The two share a courtyard. The children's playground of Manxinfu is also in the Huajianting next door. There is another Huazhu Club in the scenic area with a better price.
Service: Smooth check-in, quick response, and children's toiletries and slippers are provided
Facilities: The meal provided by the package is rich in variety. Coffee and bread coupons were given although they were not used. The family package in the package has a separate group purchase of 298, which tastes good. Breakfast is until 10 o'clock on weekends, with many choices and few Western styles.
Let me talk about the points that I don't agree with:
The fruit platter written in the 298 family package in the package was originally prepared to be packed, but the waiter asked if there were only 4 slices of watermelon. Haha, this platter...
If you book a calendar room directly, you can upgrade the room, check out late, give souvenirs, and send bird watching coupons. There are none of them redeemed with group purchases. Bird watching coupons need to be bought by yourself for 50 per person😓

eeningHad a really enjoyable stay at Mulan Huayue Hotel during our visit to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.
The service was exceptional from start to finis. When we arrived, the staff came to pick us up from the admission gate and helped carry our luggage to the hotel, which was especially helpful since the old town streets can be a bit tricky with bags.
We arrived before check-in time, and since the rooms were ready, the owner let us look at the available rooms and choose the one we preferred based on the view. It was a small gesture, but it made us feel very welcome.
The location is also excellent. Since the hotel is located inside the ancient town itself, we could simply step outside and start exploring the canals, bridges, and old streets without needing any additional transport. It was especially nice to wander around early in the morning and at night when there were fewer crowds.
The hotel also has two super cute cats that were always hanging around and made the place feel even more homely.
We tried the hotel's restaurant and were impressed by the food. Our favorite dish was the 酸菜肉丝炒芦苇根, which was delicious and something we hadn't tried before. The food was slightly on the salty side for our taste, but overall we enjoyed everything we ordered.
When it was time to head to our next hotel in Suzhou, the owner helped arrange a car for us (150 RMB). The driver was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information along the way, which made the journey much more enjoyable.
Another thing I appreciated was how attentive the owner was. When we ran out of drinking water, she personally brought three more bottles to our room without us having to ask multiple times.
Overall, this was one of those places where you can really feel the warmth and hospitality of the owner. It made our stay in Zhouzhuang much more memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

This was by far THE BEST hotel I stayed at during my journey through various cities in China.
I like places well infused with natural lighting. This hotel was very beautifully designed and built.bThe space felt open, natural, and fresh.
The lobby staff were very professional and courteous. They accommodated my sister's request to have both rooms near each other on the same floor. The male host was also very attentive. There was always high quality hot tea and passion fruit juice in the lobby available for self serve. They had some nice shops within the hotel I unfortunately did not have the time to peruse. Breakfast and lunch were available in the hotel and the food quality was very good. One of the most important and overlooked features for travelers who travel light during the hottest and most humid times of the year is laundry service. They had modern washing machines available for self service around the clock, and they also had full laundry service for those who are too busy or too incompetent to do it themselves.
Laundry room also had a mini gym for those who like to work out during their vacation time.
The hotel itself has contained within it two gardens as well as a pool area (with fish, not for swimming, that had a Chinese Guzheng instrument. It was designed and built as a great place to relax in tranquility.
The rooms were also airy and beautiful, well lit by indirect sunlight.
Toilets were very modern with those high tech bidets.
In the very beginning upon entering the room, sensors would turn on the TV which greeted you and offered room services upon command.
My room included an additional mini-room with a small tent for my daughter to play in. She took advantage of that rather quickly.
I was very comfortable in that room for my two nights stay. Plenty of electric outlets were in the room and they were installed in convenient and practical locations. The sink was large and came with toiletries in boxes designed to be placed with each other in a way that created a larger picture. I liked how they went into the details on even that.
At the end of the visit, the female host also came to say goodbye and gave my daughter a present.
This definitely is a hotel I would return to and recommend for any respectful traveler to tarry at should they pass through Suzhou.

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

Anonymous UserThe hotel is a bit far from the city center, but it's conveniently located if you're planning to visit the nearby mountains or Taihu Lake. Right next to the hotel is a shopping mall with a Cha Yan Yue Se (tea house), making dining and shopping very convenient. Although this is a Marriott extended-stay brand, we discovered it's a hidden gem for families with kids. During the May Day holiday, they had daily kids' activities. On our check-in day, we participated in a kite-painting activity at the lobby bar, and after painting, we flew the kites on the lawn in front of the hotel. My child had an absolute blast!
We were assigned the smallest suite and received complimentary welcome desserts. The front desk staff, noticing we had a child, proactively sent kids' toiletries to our room, which felt like a very thoughtful touch. The room is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave, perfectly meeting the needs of an extended stay.

Guest UserI highly recommend this hotel ❤️. It's right on the main street of Pingjiang Road, by the canal. It's not one of those tiny guesthouses; it seems to have nearly twenty rooms, and the decor and facilities are excellent. Most rooms are on the second floor, and downstairs, you're right amidst all sorts of food and shops, which is incredibly convenient. During the day, Pingjiang Road is bustling with people, but the windows have two layers, providing good sound insulation. By about 10:30 PM, the streets quiet down, so you can go downstairs and stroll around leisurely. At night, the streets are mostly empty, making the rooms very quiet. The rooms are clean, tidy, and quite spacious. The staff are also very warm and attentive. The parking lot is right across the street, just over a small bridge. It's also very close to nearby attractions from the hotel.

The environment is great, and the facilities are comprehensive. It seems to be an apartment hotel with a history and a good reputation. It's a one-bedroom, one-living room unit with a bathtub. You have to stand in the tub to shower, which I'm not used to – it's a bit narrow and inconvenient. I'm more accustomed to a dedicated shower box. The bedroom and living room are separated by sliding doors. There's no space for nightstands on either side of the large bed, which I also found inconvenient (although you can put things on the headboard). My feet kept hitting the sliding door when getting out of bed, which was annoying.
What I did like was the high floor, the view, and the microwave and tableware provided.

Cyfer3185Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested.
Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛) so this worked for me.
I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help.
There is also no laundry facilities on site.
Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!
