RachSOverall the stay was very pleasant. Hotel is very new and clean, my kids and I had a great stay. Nearby a lot of eatery places and convenient stores. Beside that, hotel staff are very friendly and attentive, they also help me to collect my parcels and manage my parcels very well. We definitely recommend & stay this hotel again.

BH4RAIThe hotel is located at the entrance of Shajiabang Scenic Area. It takes only seven or eight minutes to walk to the ticket gate. The location is very good and quite quiet. Manxinfu is a resort hotel with a river, a bridge, and a promenade. The environment is classical and elegant. It is very good. It is very pleasant to take a walk inside the hotel after dinner. See the picture of the room, clean and tidy. I especially need to say that the hotel staff is very enthusiastic. They took the initiative to help us upgrade the room type and give us breakfast. When they saw us going out, they prepared a few small bottles of water for us, which is easy to carry (the water comes from Bama, the hometown of longevity. I have worked there for several years, so I know that Bama water is good. You can Baidu it yourself). I forgot to ask the name at that time, so I am sorry for several staff members and cannot praise them by name. Before leaving, they also gave us souvenirs. Manxinfu is a hotel worth recommending.

eeningHad a really enjoyable stay at Mulan Huayue Hotel during our visit to Zhouzhuang Ancient Town.
The service was exceptional from start to finis. When we arrived, the staff came to pick us up from the admission gate and helped carry our luggage to the hotel, which was especially helpful since the old town streets can be a bit tricky with bags.
We arrived before check-in time, and since the rooms were ready, the owner let us look at the available rooms and choose the one we preferred based on the view. It was a small gesture, but it made us feel very welcome.
The location is also excellent. Since the hotel is located inside the ancient town itself, we could simply step outside and start exploring the canals, bridges, and old streets without needing any additional transport. It was especially nice to wander around early in the morning and at night when there were fewer crowds.
The hotel also has two super cute cats that were always hanging around and made the place feel even more homely.
We tried the hotel's restaurant and were impressed by the food. Our favorite dish was the 酸菜肉丝炒芦苇根, which was delicious and something we hadn't tried before. The food was slightly on the salty side for our taste, but overall we enjoyed everything we ordered.
When it was time to head to our next hotel in Suzhou, the owner helped arrange a car for us (150 RMB). The driver was very knowledgeable and shared lots of interesting information along the way, which made the journey much more enjoyable.
Another thing I appreciated was how attentive the owner was. When we ran out of drinking water, she personally brought three more bottles to our room without us having to ask multiple times.
Overall, this was one of those places where you can really feel the warmth and hospitality of the owner. It made our stay in Zhouzhuang much more memorable, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

segawang2046This hotel is absolutely stunning, every detail is perfectly to my taste! The location in Taohuawu is peaceful, just 100 meters from the Lotus Market, and parking is convenient – so much better than staying on Pingjiang Road! The entrance has a touch of Tang and Song dynasty aesthetics, making you feel like you've been transported to Kyoto. Upon entering, you're greeted with warm and thoughtful welcomes, making you feel right at home! The black and white patterned tiles are retro, paired with a minimalist style, it's truly beautiful! The garden features are all very tasteful, and the black spiral staircase is perfect for photos! The room is even more detail-oriented. Besides disinfectant wipes, the bathtub comes with bath bags, bath salts, and bubble salts for your choosing. The room also offers complimentary mini-bar drinks and drip coffee, all of good quality! What I loved most were the bedding and pillows; the memory foam pillow perfectly saved this 'pillow snob,' letting me sleep soundly until morning! The breakfast selection is rich and everything tastes delicious, with options for both Chinese and Western cuisine! The hotel also offers stamp making and sachet crafting, which are great for kids to experience! I could come back to this hotel a thousand more times.

Guest UserStaying at the Laigu Hotel in Suzhou, nestled by Moonlight Wharf, the evening breeze from Jinji Lake combined with the meticulous and thoughtful service added a full touch of gentle poetic charm to my trip.
The staff were warm and polite, striking the perfect balance without being overly solicitous, yet always perceptive to guests' needs. Every request was promptly attended to, showing care in every detail. Their heartwarming service melted away the fatigue of travel.
The most delightful surprise was the hotel breakfast. It was exquisite and elegant, with artful presentation, fresh and carefully selected ingredients, and a rich yet uncluttered variety. The combination of Chinese and Western dishes, desserts, and fresh fruits was a feast for the eyes. Sitting by the window, enjoying the delicate breakfast while gazing at the lake view as the morning light streamed in, was utterly pleasant and leisurely.
The room was simple yet sophisticated, clean, and quiet. Stepping out, I could stroll along Jinji Lake. The excellent location, thoughtful service, and exquisite breakfast full of ambiance imbued my stay with a unique sense of ritual. It was a wonderfully healing experience, and should I revisit Suzhou, I will definitely choose this place again.

Guest UserThe room had so much character, you could tell the owner put a lot of thought into every detail. The service was also incredibly attentive; the owner tried their best to accommodate all our requests. Highly recommend! And since it wasn't peak season, the room rate was quite reasonable too.

Guest UserTraveling to Suzhou with a friend, I was looking for a hotel that would offer an immersive, antique experience of Jiangnan's charm, and this Art Mansion Hotel truly didn't disappoint. The hotel boasts a prime location in the heart of Pingjiang Road. Step outside, and you're directly on the ancient flagstone street, making it super convenient for exploring and dining.拙政园 (Humble Administrator's Garden), 狮子林 (Lion Grove Garden), and the Suzhou Museum are all within walking distance. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the bustling crowds; the moment you enter, the outside noise fades away. The民國 (Republic of China) retro-style decor, with its wooden furnishings and small courtyard landscapes, creates an incredibly atmospheric vibe – any photo taken here looks like it's straight out of a Jiangnan blockbuster. The rooms are tastefully designed, blending ancient elegance with modern comfort. The smart devices are very convenient to use, the bedding is soft, and the hygiene is impeccable. The hotel also features a charming small courtyard. After a day of exploring the ancient streets, coming back to relax in the courtyard is incredibly therapeutic. The service is thoughtful and attentive; every time we returned, the butler would warmly greet us and even share tips on local delicacies and places to avoid, truly giving us a taste of Suzhou's local culture. Staying right on Pingjiang Road, falling asleep to the sounds of the water town's lively atmosphere, truly experiencing the slow pace of life in Gusu. Waking up in the morning, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast personally prepared by an auntie. Although the restaurant is small, it's clean and tidy. The breakfast selection isn't vast but is nutritious, featuring coarse grains like sweet potatoes and corn, and homemade porridge to gently awaken your morning appetite. There are also eggs and milk for protein, plus coffee, fruit, and rice cakes – more than I could even finish! The auntie would proactively ask if I had enough and if there was anything else I needed, which truly warmed my heart. I will definitely choose this place again on my next visit to Suzhou.

Cyfer3185Stayed at this homestay for 3 nights in July which is peak season for summer domestic travel in China. The rooms are comfortable and had all the amenities you’d expect of a 4 star hotel - comfortable beds, lounging area, balcony, TV, good toiletries, hair dryer. Other positives were very friendly service staff, hearty breakfast from the cafe with is on the same premise. There’s also local restaurants nearby to dine at which are not bad, just 5-10 mins walk down the road. I also enjoyed waking up to run across the bridge which has a great sunrise view. A lot of tourists visit the cafe for the sunset views. The hotel staff can do room service and bring food ordered from the cafe to your room if requested.
Note though that location wise it is not as close to other cafes and stuff. You’ll need to travel a fair bit if you want to venture and do other things. I wanted a peaceful retreat with a good view but nearer to mainland (compared to the main 西山岛) so this worked for me.
I stayed in 3 different rooms (Rm 1,4,5) for my 3 nights as I had asked for a room with a view but was initially assigned one that was completely blocked by trees. In trying to accommodate my request I ended up having different rooms (to no fault of the staff and property) each night. There are 8 ‘normal rooms’ and one suite room that is round and more suited for honeymoon/romantic occasions. Rooms 3,4,5,6 are the ones with the better view. Room 1 (my first room) has a completely blocked view which is a waste staying by the lake. Rooms 4 and 5 have the best view. Note also that rm 1 and 4 have a skylight that cannot be blocked so by 5 am your room is gonna be bright although they do give you eye shades to help.
There is also no laundry facilities on site.
Only additional feedback to the property would be that they could consider a discount for guests to dine at the cafe, that could encourage guests to have more meals there.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this for anyone looking for an escape for the buzz and want a tranquil place to rest!

Guest UserThe environment is great, and the facilities are comprehensive. It seems to be an apartment hotel with a history and a good reputation. It's a one-bedroom, one-living room unit with a bathtub. You have to stand in the tub to shower, which I'm not used to – it's a bit narrow and inconvenient. I'm more accustomed to a dedicated shower box. The bedroom and living room are separated by sliding doors. There's no space for nightstands on either side of the large bed, which I also found inconvenient (although you can put things on the headboard). My feet kept hitting the sliding door when getting out of bed, which was annoying.
What I did like was the high floor, the view, and the microwave and tableware provided.
