Arrived internationally, turned right out of the terminal, crossed the road, and it was indeed very close. We arrived at night and stayed one night before catching an early morning domestic flight the next day. It was a five-minute walk to the free shuttle bus stop, which was super convenient. Checked baggage for domestic departures was very slow; it took 45 minutes for the queue and security check. After security, there were plenty of food options.
I thoroughly enjoyed my overnight stay at Rudy’s North Sydney. The lovely man who checked me into the Hotel was so helpful. The following morning the host of the breakfast restaurant was also very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. Rooms are renovated with nice products.
Upon check-in, the front desk couldn't find our reservation. They spent what felt like an eternity, maybe half an hour, trying to sort it out on the computer while we just stood there, getting quite tired. I've never experienced anything like this before. Not sure if it's the hotel's system or Ctrip's fault. On the plus side, the hotel is conveniently located near the University of Sydney, making transportation easy. The Western breakfast was decent.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's located right in the heart of Sydney's CBD, making it incredibly convenient to get everywhere. Shopping for high-end brands like Arc'teryx is a breeze. Seriously, I hardly had to walk to any of the attractions I wanted to visit. Plus, the train and bus stations are right outside the door. If I ever come back to Australia, I would definitely stay here again. I wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone, though it is a bit on the pricey side.
Hotel is easy to find, but there’s nothing in the neighbourhood—you’ll need to drive to get anywhere.
The bathroom amenities are very basic.
Breakfast is not worth $36—you only get instant coffee, which is very disappointing.
The sofa bed is only suitable for small kids, not for adults. You can feel the springs when sitting on it, and the mattress is very thin.
Getting there is super easy. From Sydney Airport Station, it's just a few stops on the T train to Central Station. Then, it's about an 8-minute walk to the hotel – the whole trip takes less than 20 minutes.
From Central Station, you can hop on the light rail to get to many nearby attractions, which is really convenient.
Quick tip: Buy an Opal card as soon as you get to the airport station; you can top it up whenever you need to!

We stayed in the Rydges World Square family room for three nights and had a very comfortable experience. The two-bedroom layout was spacious, clean, though sharing a single bathroom among four adult was a minor inconvenience. A thoughtful gesture from the hotel made our stay even more special—they surprised my son with chocolate treats and a birthday card upon check-in, which we truly appreciated.
The location is excellent, close to many attractions, and the convenience of having a shopping mall right downstairs with restaurants and a supermarket added to the ease of our stay. Overall, it was a delightful and comfortable experience.
The location of the accommodation and the 24-hour response were good, but the housekeeper did not clean it properly, and even though we asked for a body shower from a day ago until that morning, it was still not filled when we came in after going out.
The hotel was alright, definitely spacious and in a convenient location. The living room and bedroom is excellent in my books. However, it’s a bit dated, and the toilet shows its age. We encountered small cockroaches each evening we returned, luckily just the slow kind that you can easily catch. I appreciated the green programme that rewards guests who skip room service with vouchers, but the voucher has limited use, especially with the breakfast spread being quite limited; honestly, you’re better off heading out to nearby cafés instead. Skipping housekeeping also meant I had to dispose of my own trash, and the recycling bins near the lifts kept piling up without being cleared. Can be better.
Stayed at The Capitol Hotel Sydney and had a pleasant experience overall. The hotel is in a fantastic central location, close to public transport, Chinatown, and major attractions, making it very convenient for exploring the city. Rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, though slightly compact. The staff were friendly and helpful, and overall service was smooth. A great option for a short stay in Sydney, especially if location is your priority.

GGuest UserIt was good and clean for an overnight stop, the thermostat in the room couldn’t be turned down which made it quite hot in the room overnight, but otherwise comfortable
