Taichung West District Hotels

location was fine, bed was super hard., and found a spider crawling on my bed. fire alarm went off in the middle of the night, but hotel compensated with a small voucher upon checkout, tho I see it serves no purpose.

Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

Prime location!!!!! Free parking downstairs right in the middle of the city. Great food options nearby. Nice selection for breakfast (East and Western style). Quality bottled water. Staff was attentive and helpful. The extractor fan in the toilet was not working but the water pressure and temperature was good! Personally, we felt the bed was a little on the soft side but for some people that might just be perfect.

The location is right next to the museum, so you can easily walk there. There are plenty of bus stops around, and a 7-Eleven right in front of the hotel with a decent breakfast. Really good

We have always stayed in this hotel whenever we go to Taichung. The hotel location is great for us because there are 2 24 hour convenience stores just downstairs. A lot of different restaurants on few steps away. SOGO department store across the street. Too bad the movie theaters are closed now we used to be able to catch a late night movie during our previous trips. Starbucks is in the basement of the building where the hotel is but with the great coffee from Familymart and 711 you do not need starbucks. Bus station is just downstairs. (no train yet in Taichung so this is the next best thing.) There are taxis waiting all the time downstairs as well. The buffet breakfast is great here with a very friendly head chef (head chef Hsieh) who is always present and interacts with all the diners. (too bad we missed him this trip) The rooms are big but do take note of new law in Taiwan and bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste and razors. Although the great thing about this hotel is they do sell toiletries at a cheap price (toothbrush and small toothpaste is just ntd 10) unlike other hotels in Taiwan that absolutely do not provide anything and do not sell. If it is your first time, I would recommend staying here as you will not go wrong here. Then maybe try other hotels next time so you get to experience the Splendor Hotel standard.

A new hotel with a new look. The interior decoration is full of modern sense. The lighting, paintings, artworks and the overall space are very popular. The elegant design style is very popular. The room furnishings are very good, the bed is very comfortable to sleep in and has a full sense of space. The double basin is convenient for two people to use. The bathroom space is spacious, the bathtub is delicate and high-end, and the wardrobe sliding door design does not take up space. The overall space makes people feel comfortable and it is worth visiting again! There are both Chinese and Western breakfasts, and the dishes are rich, delicious and diverse, which is very suitable for experiencing with family or a few friends! The warm greetings from the hotel staff make you feel respected and pampered. It is a hotel that you will want to stay in again! Recommended 👍

這次入住六人房，一個晚上，報道的時候被櫃檯問說是不是四人兩個晚上，原來是有人跟我同名同姓在不同的平台預約，所以搞混了，是覺得蠻特別也蠻奇妙的… 我們住六人房，三張雙人床，人數算多但提供的桌子很小，能放的東西有限！ 浴室一間廁所兩間，都是個別分開，而且門是微玻璃，有點透明，一家人洗澡都有點尷尬更不用說如果是朋友們來了，但洗手台只有一個！ 有提供車位但是是特約的，我們停一個比較大的，但距離要走4分鐘，其實附近就有一個了，只是比較小！ 唯一滿意的是睡覺的床跟枕頭很舒服，枕頭有硬跟軟的，睡到都不想起來，早餐是自助吧，可能還在試營運，菜色就很基本常規，如果要喝麥片牛奶，牛奶要跟服務人員說！

Very good location and about 800m to Michelin restaurant Kuisine. And also 500m to National Science Centre Taichung. Can spend full day walking nearby the hotel. However hotel’s breakfast is so so only, but the coffee is good. Highly recommended if you want to to explore Taichung city you may opt for this hotel

This is a great hotel with parking available. It is in a very good location with convenient transportation. It is very close to Qinmei Greenway, Christa Egg Tart, RLAN Greenlight Project Fantxi Cultural and Creative Village, and Audit New Village Market, and is very convenient for walking. The service is very friendly and the environment is very clean. I like the overall accommodation atmosphere very much. I will stay here again next time✨

Located at the junction of Yingcai and Wuquan, it has a good location and its own parking lot. You can also take the receipts for roadside parking or the parking lots of the nearby art gallery and cultural center to get reimbursed (please ask the counter for details). As for the room, the sound insulation is very good, and the ceiling above the bed is slightly higher, so although the room is not big, it does not feel oppressive. Overall, it was a very satisfying accommodation experience, highly recommended.
