Chance Hotel ★★★
"I chose this hotel because it is a two-minute walk from Taichung station. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, including the famous ice cream place Miyahara. The laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers. I chose a windowless room, it was a great size for one person, and I couldn't hear my neighbours."
La Vida Hotel ★★★★
"Convenient location, near Feng Jia night market (5-10min walk). The only downside - parking is challenging."
Norden Ruder Hostel Taichung ★★★
"Location was great, easy access to the metro, bus stops and popular Taichung places (Miyahara, 4th Credit Union, Taichung 2nd Market). Check in/out was easy, rooms and common areas was clean, stay instructions were clear and there was direct lift access to Reception and rooms."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 1 Taichung ★★★
"The location is fantastic and very convenient for transport. I do wish the front desk staff could provide a bit more explanation and service. While SOPs are important for workflows, a little extra clarification would make the experience feel warmer. Thank you."

"Luckily I got a beautiful room with window view, also, overall is clean, great location and feel safe as nearby police station, would recommend."
In Joy Hotel ★★★★
"The hotel location is nice. Just the receptionist is not served very well. She is in a hurry mode."
Twinstar Hotel ★★★
"It really close to train station and convenience store. But the place really old and dusty not recommended to stay if your allergy on dust."
WE2 HOTEL ★★★
"I had a wonderful stay at WE2 Hotel. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable. The location is great, just a short walk from Taichung Station, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I also appreciated the quiet atmosphere, which made it easy to relax after a long day. Overall, it offers great value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again when I visit Taichung."
Norway Forest Travel hotel 3 Taichung ★★★

Golden Tulip Zhong Xin Hotel Taichung
"Before booking, I checked reviews and specifically chose the newer Zhaoyin Building. While the room was quite spacious and offered direct access to the rooftop pool and spa facilities, overall, it felt a bit dated. The carpet clearly had a lot of dust, and I wouldn't let my child walk barefoot on it. The worst part was the air conditioning, which was an issue in the room, the play area, and the restaurant. On the first night, the AC in our room inexplicably turned off. Everyone woke up hot, and even after turning it back on, it remained stifling. After reporting it on the second day, someone came to adjust it, but then it became freezing cold 😭. Getting to the breakfast restaurant required walking outdoors to the Pinzhen Building, which wasn't very convenient. On our third morning, there was a tour group, and the hotel didn't seem to manage their dining times, resulting in us, independent travelers, being seated in a deeper section. The air conditioning there wasn't turned on beforehand. Although they switched it on immediately when we were seated, by the time it gradually cooled down, we had already finished breakfast, sweating the whole time. The small play area on the first floor of the restaurant also had no air conditioning whatsoever; my child was practically boiling while playing there. The only redeeming features were the decent swimming pool and spa. My child had a great time, but the changing rooms were too small, with only two for men and two for women. The external part had simple, short curtains, which didn't provide enough privacy, making it difficult for mothers with children to shower together. I hope they can improve this!"
Icloud Luxury Resort & Hotel
"The moment I stepped into the room, I was hit by an overwhelming cigarette smell. I called the front desk to complain, but they informed me they were fully booked and couldn't offer a room change. Their only solution was to send someone to 'deal' with the smell by spraying air freshener. The smell was simply unbearable. I called again, offering to pay extra for a different room, and only then did they finally arrange one for us. While the new room was indeed smoke-free, the air conditioning was completely ineffective the entire night!!!!!! To make matters worse, when I tried to use the spa jets in the bathtub, a bunch of small bugs came out! 🙄🙄 I will absolutely not be returning to this place."

"It’s out near the coastal area. The complimentary shuttle service makes it easy for our visit. Good gym equipment and sauna facilities."
Voga motel
"The room was exactly as pictured. We used to stay in motels with the kids, but this time we booked a hotel room, and it really showed that you get what you pay for 😂. When in Taichung, the 'Motel Capital,' it's still more comfortable to stay in a motel – they offer more space and you can even enjoy a bath 🛁."
Fullon Hotel Lihpao Resort
"The breakfast was excellent, the room was spacious, and it was close to the theme park outlet. The spa water was a little dirty; it would be nice if it could be cleaner."
Hoya Resort Hotel Wuling
"We took a relaxing trip to celebrate my parents' golden wedding anniversary. We checked in at 3 PM and went to the hot springs shortly after. Around 6 or 7 PM, we got hungry, and there was a decent buffet. Even though there were many tour groups, the food selection wasn't huge, but it was replenished quickly and the dishes were fresh. After lunch, we took a short walk, and then there was a wonderful concert at 8:30 PM. This time it was the Sirius Harmonica Ensemble. It was my first time hearing multi-part harmonica music, and their witty introduction was really great. The hour went by quickly, and the grand finale was a stargazing performance. Although the clouds were thick, the moon was still shining, and with the help of the Star Walk 2 app, we didn't get back to our room until 11 PM. The next day, breakfast at 7 AM was also satisfying. We went for a walk in the nearby campsite, but unfortunately, the ginkgo and maple trees were still green. We saw cherry salmon, swans, and enjoyed some shaved ice before heading back down the mountain, completely satisfied. There wasn't much traffic this time, so going up and down the mountain was smooth, thanks to the good weather. The hotel was great, and my parents and I were very happy."
GOGO HOTEL Fengchia
"The hotel is quite close to Feng Chia University, about a 10-minute walk. Unfortunately, the bed in my room had an issue; the next morning, my hands and feet were red and itchy, like I'd been bitten by bugs 😅. The front desk service was decent, and I especially want to thank Mr. Chen and intern Mr. Jiang for their recommendations and directions!"
Elence Hotel
"Located near the train station and just a 10-minute walk to Lalaport. The overall cleanliness was excellent, breakfast was included, and the staff provided great service. Given the affordable price, it's a highly recommended choice."
Taichung Box Design Hotel
"Very good location, quiet, clean, with amenities such as coffee and tea, besides water boiler. For improvements, A/C usage temperature, to avoid getting a cold in the summer."
53 Hotel
"The location is so convenient, there’s also Family Mart and Watson nearby you can easily get anything you looking for. And the famous ice cream store is opposite the hotel. The hotel is also quite clean and tidy. Recommended! ☺️"
