"The room was spacious, and the location was fantastic. The front desk staff, especially the female attendant, was very patient and friendly. Both breakfast and the late-night snacks were delicious. A unique and fun aspect of staying here was that they used casino-style chips to redeem meals – one chip for one item. This service was incredibly thoughtful and user-friendly."

Golden Tulip Zhong Xin Hotel Taichung
"Before booking, I checked reviews and specifically chose the newer Zhaoyin Building. While the room was quite spacious and offered direct access to the rooftop pool and spa facilities, overall, it felt a bit dated. The carpet clearly had a lot of dust, and I wouldn't let my child walk barefoot on it. The worst part was the air conditioning, which was an issue in the room, the play area, and the restaurant. On the first night, the AC in our room inexplicably turned off. Everyone woke up hot, and even after turning it back on, it remained stifling. After reporting it on the second day, someone came to adjust it, but then it became freezing cold 😭. Getting to the breakfast restaurant required walking outdoors to the Pinzhen Building, which wasn't very convenient. On our third morning, there was a tour group, and the hotel didn't seem to manage their dining times, resulting in us, independent travelers, being seated in a deeper section. The air conditioning there wasn't turned on beforehand. Although they switched it on immediately when we were seated, by the time it gradually cooled down, we had already finished breakfast, sweating the whole time. The small play area on the first floor of the restaurant also had no air conditioning whatsoever; my child was practically boiling while playing there. The only redeeming features were the decent swimming pool and spa. My child had a great time, but the changing rooms were too small, with only two for men and two for women. The external part had simple, short curtains, which didn't provide enough privacy, making it difficult for mothers with children to shower together. I hope they can improve this!"
Icloud Luxury Resort & Hotel
"Stayed for one night and woke up to find small pebbles coming out of the bathroom faucet. I reported it to the front desk, and they sent a housekeeper to empty our water. Then, they brought three new glasses, claiming there were no pebbles this time. It made us feel like they thought we had gone out, found sand, and put it in the water just to con them. The housekeeper then explained that she couldn't see clearly earlier because of the reflection in the cup. So, if you stay here, maybe check your water for sand with a cup first! Seriously, the soundproofing is also really bad! You can clearly hear arguments next door, kids running upstairs, people chatting outside the door, and even people being intimate next door! Think twice before booking."
