First time business trip in Taichung. This hotel is close to the train station, however not the high speed rail station so do not get mistaken if you take HSR from Taipei or Taoyuan. Hotel is pretty new and room is spacious. Generally good facilities. Nearby pretty busy area with quite some restaurants but a lot a full during dinner time with long lines.

The Le Méridien hotel has spacious and beautiful rooms, and its location is fantastic – just a five-minute walk from Taichung Railway Station and three minutes from Miyahara. Billy and Brian from the hotel provided exceptional service. They helped us book a table at the best Omakase restaurant in Taichung, recommended fun places and great food spots, and even arranged a private car for our trip to Sun Moon Lake. We were extremely satisfied!

I seldom leave hotel reviews, but during my recent trip to Taichung, I stayed at four different hotels. Le Méridien was the priciest of the four, costing over 1700. I even specifically packed my swimwear from Hong Kong, looking forward to using the hotel's rooftop pool. However, I was absolutely furious to find the pool water was murky when I got there. I regret not taking photos. The hotel was overpriced, offered terrible service, and the staff's attitude was the most indifferent I encountered among all four places. I will definitely not be staying at Le Méridien again. The room design was also quite dim, breakfast wasn't included, and to top it all off, the showerhead was broken.

Nice 5 stars hotel. Location a bit remote, near railway station but not much around. Most staff were excellent, but front desk a bit cool.
