This time I brought my wife to Taichung for her birthday, and we stayed at the Norway Forest Cultural Center for the first night. We arrived early to drop off our luggage and immediately experienced the friendly and polite service, which made me feel happy and warm. Although there was a minor issue with the air conditioning in our room when we checked in that evening, the front desk manager came up and helped us switch to a larger and more comfortable room. Their service attitude was also super nice. It's no wonder this hotel has reviews above 9 – it's absolutely deserved. If I have the chance to come again, it will definitely be my first choice! 🥰

Overall, I was quite disappointed.
Right from check-in, the staff couldn't find my reservation, and they even asked for my surname in English, and the number and gender of guests, which was a bit odd.
I noticed a lot of things because I was waiting for my luggage in the lobby for a very long time. The seating area around the art installation in the lobby was dusty, especially the back rows, and the outdoor area was full of fallen leaves.
While I was busy with my child and family arranging crafts, my luggage had already been taken to the room. When I realized I needed my carry-on bag, the staff said they would retrieve it from the room for me (we hadn't even checked into the room yet). I had a carry-on with my child's daily essentials, and my child needed to use the restroom. So, we waited in the lobby for that bag for nearly 20 minutes.
Regarding the other facilities, the welcome tea was incredibly simple. The window in our room had large water stains on the glass (I initially thought it was fog). Below our room, there was an area with weeds and what looked like abandoned moss, which felt out of place. It seemed like the most effort the hotel put in was the gardening, and I couldn't understand why this particular area existed; it was a huge contrast.
Considering all meal costs are extra, it really didn't offer good value for money at all. The food, however, was very good, and the laundry service was a plus. All the staff members were friendly and welcoming.
If the room rates were lower, I might consider revisiting. But if the prices and facilities remain as they are, I won't be returning.

Stephanie TsengThe location of this hotel is excellent, and the staff were consistently friendly, polite, and genuinely tried to help whenever we needed anything.
Unfortunately, the hotel itself has some significant issues. Our room had a strong mould smell that was impossible to ignore. This isn’t something that can be solved with air freshener or a quick spray by housekeeping—it points to a deeper moisture problem that requires a proper investment in repairs. Until that is addressed, it seriously affects the comfort of the stay.
The food was also disappointing and well below what we expected. We also tried to book a massage during our stay, but every time we went down, there was no one there. The counter staff seemed unsure of what was happening, which made the experience feel disorganized.
I want to emphasize that the staff did their best and were always courteous. The problems seem to be with the property and its management rather than the employees. With its excellent location, this hotel has a lot of potential, but it needs to address the mould issue properly and improve some of its facilities and services.

Benedick1Overall was okay as a stay for hotel, maybe for gym equipment, lacking weights and more variety of equipment to use. Hotel beds and everything else is more or less comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast is average overall, not fantastic but still good to eat if you don’t plan to travel out in the morning for food. Convenient to travel from hotel to other destinations.

Guest UserThe soundproofing in the room was excellent, and the air conditioning was quiet. The water pressure was strong, and the bath amenities smelled lovely. The breakfast was decent, pretty much the same every day, but it was great to have natto.
The pool was absolutely fantastic, very clean, and we spent every day in it. The pool facilities were also great. Highly recommend it. The location is also good; bus 302 goes directly from the airport to the hotel. There's a shopping mall within a 5-minute walk, as well as convenience stores and many local eateries with delicious food.

Guest UserThe hotel's location is quite convenient, close to Taichung Railway Station and Miyahara Eye Hospital! The front desk staff are enthusiastic and helpful. If you have vegetarian friends traveling with you, you can inform the front desk a day in advance, and they will prepare a separate vegetarian breakfast, which is very thoughtful. However, the breakfast selection isn't very extensive. The hotel also offers a paid self-service laundry and late-night instant noodles. In the evening, everyone can go to the second basement floor to cook their own meals while watching movies. There's a 7-Eleven nearby, just a short walk away, and a Watsons a bit further down Wangyuan Road where you can buy daily necessities.

It was a very pleasant experience. The room is incredibly spacious and stylishly decorated. The enormous Jacuzzi with colored mood lighting, offering a view over the city, was truly special. The bed was comfortable, and there was also a seating area with a sofa. A large desk with connections for a laptop and charging options for phones is convenient for those who need it. The bathroom itself is very large. The hotel appears well-maintained. The parking garage was a big plus. The breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. If I had to mention one minor drawback, it would be that the room didn't smell very fresh. It was as if someone had smoked in it, despite it being a non-smoking room. But thankfully, it wasn't too intense.

The location is right at the entrance of Feng Chia University, which is incredibly convenient. The double room space was decent, and the cleanliness was acceptable. The shower had excellent water pressure. We checked in after 11 PM, and the front desk staff were still there and very friendly.

The views from outside here are absolutely stunning. I chose the 166 room type, but unfortunately, it was raining, and I really wanted to stay another day to drive around and explore. The only downside was the lack of heating. The temperature difference between morning and evening was quite significant, and I tend to get cold easily.
Breakfast wasn't a buffet; instead, it was individual portions, which was actually quite good. My dog, however, was picky and wouldn't eat the meat – maybe he didn't sleep well. The main issue, as I mentioned, was the absence of heating, and also the fact that hot water was only available in the restaurant during breakfast. I found that to be a bit inconvenient.
If you're staying in a double room, it might feel a little cramped. I booked a double room for myself and my dog, and I did find it a bit tight. Also, the bed was a bit on the firm side, which is why I'm deducting some points. The soundproofing isn't great either.
Overall, the environment is nice, but it's a shame they don't provide hot water. What's the point of having tea bags if there's no hot water? A kettle would be really helpful. The service here is excellent, and I really love the views outside. It's truly beautiful, but it was a pity it rained. The only other drawback is the limited parking spaces. I'm not sure where other guests park. When I arrived yesterday, I was lucky to find an empty spot. So, I'm giving it a 7 out of 10.
Please fix the showerhead quickly; it's odd not to have a proper shower beforehand.
