LIKED: 1. Budget friendly 2. Laundry room availability DISLIKED: 1. Size of the room 2. Smell of the room (smelled damp, probably from the carpeted floor) 3. No bidet in the bathroom 4. Shampoo and shower gel were in the form of small sachets, barely enough for 1 person to use 5. Electrical sockets were behind the beds, you'd need to move the beds to use them. Otherwise there's only 1 socket next to the table and another one in the bathroom next to the toilet 6. Breakfast selection was very limited and in a basement that is relatively dark. There's no hot water dispenser there so if you want to drink tea, you either have to prepare hot water in your room or from the dispenser on the first floor.

8 to 10 mins walk from the nearest metro station. Not really in the midst of the busy city area, but you get a feel of the true local lifestyle and pace of life. Service was excellent worth good breakfast, if only there is a swimming pool. Rainbow village is small, but worth a visit.

Had a great stay at Hotel Si! The showers had constant hot water with strong pressure, and they even provided travel adapters. The water dispensers on every floor were clean and convenient. The lobby was spacious, open, and beautifully decorated with plenty of plants. However, an important thing to note—our room had a balcony, and the toilet was located outside on it. This can be inconvenient, especially at night or in winter when you have to take a few chilly steps back to the bedroom after a shower. The Sealy bed was super comfortable, but the blanket wasn’t the best. The duvet cover kept shifting due to loose ties, which left empty spaces inside. The TV was large and had YouTube and Netflix, but it was quite laggy—maybe Haier isn’t the best brand for TVs. On the plus side, the location is fantastic! There’s a great massage parlour and a live band bar nearby. That said, the strict 4 PM check-in policy can lead to long queues, and parking is limited to just five spots outside, though alternatives are available. One small suggestion—the hotel might want to consider rebranding as ”Hotel Xi” instead of ”Hotel Si,” as ”Si” means ”die” in Mandarin, which is a cultural taboo for Chinese guests. Overall, it’s a decent option if the price is right. The separate toilet setup was a huge downside for me, but the convenience of the location makes up for it. Would consider staying again!

The room is large and comfortable. There are water dispensers on each floor. There are empty kettles in the room. There is a bidet and bathtub. The breakfast is rich and the dishes change every day. The lady at the counter is very cute. The location is very convenient.

I really like this hotel as I have been staying there for more than 20 years. They upgraded the rooms and I really enjoy the sumptuous breakfast with so many food on the breakfast buffet. It makes my day and I will definitely go for this hotel in my next trip again. Cheers

I recently stayed at a hotel in Taichung that perfectly bridges the old and new parts of the city. Its location is a significant advantage, as most tourist spots are just a 15-minute drive away, making it easy to explore the area's rich culture and attractions. The room I booked was surprisingly spacious for the price, featuring a comfortable layout and a nice bathtub, which added a touch of luxury to my stay. However, I did find one aspect a bit lacking: while I appreciate the hotel's commitment to minimizing disposable products, the absence of soap in the bathroom felt excessive. A simple bar of soap would have made the experience more comfortable. Overall, I would definitely consider revisiting this hotel. The combination of a convenient location and reasonable pricing makes it a solid choice for anyone looking to explore Taichung.ecial at the same time

The service staff are very friendly and considerate Since I was checking in on the weekend, the entrance to the hotel for vehicles was blocked, and the driver was unfamiliar with the roads, so I could only get off the bus not far from the hotel. After the hotel staff learned about it, they came out to help me pick up my luggage and check in. The service was very good. I returned to the hotel in the evening with a large bag in hand, and the staff at the door offered to help me put it into the room, so that I could go out to eat directly without going back to the room. When I returned to the room, I found that the staff had specially arranged all the slippers for me. The service here is really good ~ 100 points But the design of the hotel has many inconvenient details: 1. Wardrobe: The room I live in has two wardrobes. Since the two wardrobes are at the corners, they will be affected when the door is opened and take up a lot of space. 2. Circulation: The circulation in the room is not suitable for ordinary people. There is no place to put luggage. There is a table and chairs at the entrance (not very practical). If business people need to iron clothes, it will be very inconvenient because the iron cord is very short and will get stuck in the toilet door. In addition, the iron will leak... The chair furnishings are also stuck in the bathroom door, which will get stuck when washing. 3. Supplies in the room: There is an extra strip of used toothpaste in the new toothbrush supplies... It feels like it is a quality problem with the supplier; the pajamas provided by the hotel have a torn collar... I feel the quality is very poor 4. The location of the hotel is really not very good, because it is in the center of the city, and there are basically traffic jams. If it is a weekend, the road is closed...many drivers don't know the road well, and if you really drive on the road, it will cause safety hazards. (Because there are many pedestrians) 5. The hotel staff is not professionally trained enough and some necessary information is not provided when checking in. If you choose again, you probably won’t spend more than NT$8,000 to stay there. There are better options at the same price~

Location is ok as we just took Uber to navigate around Taichung. Room is generally ok, toilet quite spacious but hardly any space to put personal belongings. Walls are pretty thin not very soundproof.

Very convenient hotel. Next to Sogo and there is one dessert shop near the hotel is very good. Also accross the hotel there is shop selling vegetable bun is very delicious. Some japanese restaurant in front of the hotel. Next to watson and 7 eleven

This time we booked a quad room with two double beds, but we were two couples staying there. It was really good value for money and the location was great. The whole hotel room was very new and most importantly, there was a big bathtub suitable for couples.
