TW Hostel I

It's near Ximenting and Taipei Main station so it's very convenient but if you have luggage you will take some effort to bring it up second floor.

Cleanliness of the room is terrible, the first day I went in the floor is dirty with dust and strands of hair. The air conditioner was not working well and the room was at 28°C. Told them the next day, they sent in a fan which made things slightly better but the temperature was still constantly at 26°C. Even though they said they will get someone to come and repair but it doesn’t seem to have anything changes as I can see from the thermostat that they temperature is still at 26°C even when I turn the aircon to 18°C. The other guests who stayed at the capsule said their room was even cooler. So I paid extra money to get a single room only to be shortchanged and the room is not very big either. The bed was also not very clean and had bed bugs, I had bed bug bites in the morning. Only plus point is the convenience of the location. The only amenities they have is a washing machine which you have to pay to use, there also isn’t a dryer. Attached is the picture when I check in, if you zoom in, you can see the dust and dirt on the floor.

Budget friendly and they are really helpful. However, this made me learn one thing. I’ll never book a hostel/shared places again. Doesnt matter if you book a hotel that is quite pricey as long as it is clean. I think the hostel is quite clean but during the third day, my mom and I got bedbug bites as you can see in the photo. We just got home and went for a doctor. The stairs are also quite steep so please be careful. We got relocated on the alley side and not knowing. I hope the bedsheets and linens were cleaned during our stay. Wouldnt come back here but it is your choice to push through.

walking distance to ximending 2-3mins, to bus stop 4-6mins. Double suite not big but space design and organize with well, have a lot of storage space. Common area well design and decoration, have few water dispenser and study space for all. 4th floor have washer machine (need token) and microwave (free).

We booked a double suite for 5D4N. Checking in is fast. Don’t forget to call beforehand if you’ll arrive at night or very early morning. You can also email them. They are responsive. The hotel is neat, very accessible. Just 1min walk and ximending walking district is there where you can eat all good foods! Free Drinking water, hot, warm & cold is just along the hallway. The room has basic amenities. Hair blower and lots of outlet. If you’re from PHilippines, you don’t need a converter or adaptor. Own sink, air-con, own t&B hot&cold shower with shampoo and body wash but no bidet. What I don’t like about this hostel was they didn’t clean the room and t&b from the first night we stayed up to the last night. Never. Towels were not replaced. I have to ask them for replacement towels. I paid a decent sum so at least cleaning shouldn’t be an issue.

In general, the hostel is ok it is just that the bathing room and cr is small.
