Hotels Near IFGF Taipei in Taipei

I have booked a total of 3 nights in this hotel. We have encountered some confusion during the check in as the hotel renamed recently from Hedo to Le Room, and the room size or features of the room we booked initially. Nevertheless, we appreciated the hotel staff gave us a free upgrade during our stay. Perhaps there is renovation works going on in the building or around the building, they provided us a set of ear plug and I believed the complimentary breakfast was provided for the compensation. Nice breakfast spread. Strong connection for their Wifi. However, their pillow is too soft for me. Air con is not consistent, sometime in the middle of the night, the temperature may be a bit too warm for me. The water pressure is strong but sometimes the water suddenly become cold for 1-2sec. Overall, I would still recommend this hotel as the location was strategic. Walking distance to Ximending and exit z10 to the underground mall. The staff is also quite patience and able to compromise our request

The room was too small. I couldnt fit anywhere my luggage but the bed was very comfortable and we loved the toilet and restroom. Good lighting and its very near Ximen train station which was very convenient. Service was not at all the best, but it’s safe. There’s a security guard stationed by the entrance. ☺️

We had a pleasant stay with Hotel Papa Whale, the building is not as new as the photos, but it's clean inside. The room was also clean and the staff were nice. They always restock what you use with the toiletries. I just wish they would change their food a little at the buffet. It was delicious but a bit tiring if you eat the same everyday. Overall, we had a good time. The location was also convenient. Close to everything. :)

You get what you pay for; the exterior of the hotel appears nice, suggesting it was once elegant, but it has lost its charm. The room has a moldy smell, and the floor needs replacing, though it's surprisingly clean. The elevator is small but better than none. The hotel's redeeming qualities are its affordability, proximity to restaurants, and convenient access to public transportation. If you seek a budget-friendly place to sleep in a convenient location, this could be your hotel.

Hotel location is convenient as it's only walking distance from Ximen's shopping district and MRT. Lots of shops and and restaurants around so you will never run out of options. The receptionist was accommodating with all our inquiries. We loved the fact that we can drink as many coffee and hot chocolate as we want from the drink machine in the lobby. There is a water dispenser as well to refill water. My sister and I had a wonderful stay and there isn't really much to complain about. The decor is quite old fashioned but our room was clean enough which is most important. Overall, we are satisfied. I would recommend to stay here if you are looking for an affordable decent place to stay for a couple of days in Ximen.

The water pressure was good. The location is very near to MRT station. A 3 minutes walk. Quite a number of 7-11/Family Mart nearby. We stayed in a room with windows, hence it was spacious. With 3 medium luggages opened up, it has no issue. But some parts of the walls didn't touch up. The toilet was clean. There's a big table with an office chair, unfortunately the chair is quite run down and I have to sit the chair with a towel on it. Everything was actually fine. Unfortunately, there's bed bugs. Our legs are super itchy until when we are back to our own country. I even cover the bed with disposable bedsheets. In the end, it didn't solve the bed bugs issue either. Hope the hotel can take note of this. I don't mind staying here again.

It was OK, but the room was less than i expect for 5 star. Paint is worn out, wallpaper going off at some places. Cleaning staff forgot our room on our 2nd day. However, staff is helpful, fair discount on the restaurants. Gym is definitely cheap for 5 star. A few cardio machines and thats it. No weight, dumbell or anything. Pool looked nice, but didnt try it. Overall View is nice,AC works fine. Location is great, 4 mins from subway and Longshan temple.

This is the new brand of Hyatt Hotel group in Taipei. First imoression: similar to Moxy, Citizen M focuses on social and fun with a touch of old fashion-CD Player and old music (nice & used to be popular). Room: good size with a cute wooden box CD player. The room has 2 bottles of 'sustainable glass bottle water', 1 energy powder, capsule coffee, and 2 tea bags. Toiletries were normal standard, and the cute part is eye mask, pillow mist, wooden massage board, ear plugs & and mask. F&B: they have one bar, which was a well-known bar from Taichung. I had a cocktail with a blend of tea. Way too sweet... It's not my ideal.. 5:30-6:30 pm Cocktail time offered free red and white wine, beer, and other soft drinks. I think the brand of white wine and red wine are pretty bad. I only used them for cooking, not drinkable... I honestly think if you gonna offer at least not a common brand of cooking wine that downgrade their chic standard. Breakfast was offered by ground floor restaurant, American style. I didn't choose it due to lack of time. The location is great, about 5 minutes from METRO station. There are only 4 stops from Taipei station. For this price, I think it's higher than other hotels. I would think 2 main reasons: 1st, it's a new one, 2nd good location and brand. But may not be value for money type of Hotel. One funny thing: after comparing with hyatt member price, OTA is cheaper, which is very common. But, I consumed beverages I could not accumulate my spending in my membership points, which I don't see the point.

All expects of the hotel are done pretty well except for the service. It is located in the heart of Taipei City which makes going anywhere convenient, range between 15 mins - 30mins by cab. The breakfast are well cooked, just don't expect much variations. The service is really bad among the male employees. They shows an inpatient face & tone when I ask them for wifi password after check-in. And when there's problem in the my room, they expect me to fix it myself instead of sending a technician up. When I ask one of the old man, he quickly say 'No No', and leave. This is very bad. I will not be glad to return.

Of course it is superb. It has hosted many foreign leaders and its elevator can accommodate 30 Marble nis used in the bathroom and it's large balcony offers a great view of the city. The location was carefully chosen on a hill but the hotel has complimentary shuttle be to the closest subway station. Their staff are extremely professional and helpful!
