Came here with the group purchase package, and the experience was great.
Located on Khao Lak Beach, it is suitable for friends who are going to Similan, but it is very inconvenient if you want to go to Phuket Town and the three major beaches. It takes an hour to drive from the airport. We rented a car and there was no traffic on the road. There are no large shopping malls nearby, so you can consider going to the surrounding area for massage.
The service is very good. When you check in, they will take the initiative to sit next to you to go through the formalities. They will also take the initiative to say hello when they meet at other times. Most of the people staying in the hotel are Europeans and Americans, and there is no discrimination.
The hotel room is very new, but not very large, and the balcony swimming pool is very clean. The package is a seaside swimming pool room, so you can only see part of the sea view, which will be blocked by the house outside.
The breakfast is very rich and delicious, and the dinner provided by the package is amazing. The appetizer + main course + dessert is delicious. It feels that the chef is very attentive.
The beach is very large and there are reefs. You can pick up shells to play, but it doesn’t feel as clean as Mai Khao Beach.

Additional amenities at this hotel include complimentary wireless internet access, concierge services, and babysitting (surcharge).
Grab a bite at The Floating Market, one of the hotel's 2 restaurants, or stay in and take advantage of the room service (during limited hours). Relax with a refreshing drink from the bar/lounge or one of the 2 poolside bars. A complimentary continental breakfast is served daily from 6:30 AM to 10 AM.

Had a wonderful stay at the sands as a family of 3 . Check in was a breeze as we arrived late at night due to a cancelled flight. Room was spacious however I did not like the layout of the room bathroom being very open, bed was comfortable , no issues with cleanliness - however some mosquitoes. Breakfast buffet was ok but very busy chaotic at times , we found it a bit repetitive the food options. Our daughter had the time of life at the pool, slides and playground it kept her busy all day. We enjoyed the swim up bar the cocktails were okay too sugary we enjoyed the happy hours at different bars at the resort we did walk along the beach 2 min walk to hippie fish bar and enjoyed the cocktails there more much better quality I believe happy hr was 6 to 7 there highly recommended good vibe. The gym was well maintained everything you need. We ate dinners at spinach, thenight markets, room service was great as well. We also loved the roti and fried chicken cart . Would only recommend staying here with children not as a couple.

Seaview Resort Kaho Lak sits right in the middle of average for resorts. It's got some nice features, the pool is lovely and the beach access is great. Other than that it's just another resort. We got the Deluxe Ocean View room which was nice but didn't have a view of the ocean, just another room in front. Room size was good and it was very clean. Breakfast is average, the staff aren't the most friendly but not unfriendly, the location is ok but not great. If you're planning on spending most of your time at the resort it's absolutely fine. I just can't find anything to recommend as standing out. Wifi is very hit and miss so if you need to work from the Hotel I be prepared for it to be slow at times. The mosquitoes are insane so I'd strongly recommend if you have a ground floor room to bring repellent and spray, you're going to need it. This isn't the hotels fault, the area just has a lot of mosquitoes. If you can get it for a good price then I'd book it. Otherwise there are plenty of other average resorts around.

We spent 10 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect for our needs! An utterly beautiful hotel with clean rooms and facilities and the kindest, most helpful staff I've ever come across in a hotel. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with direct access to the 2.4km pool - this was a great feature and it felt like we had a bit of private pool whilst being able to swim all the way to the main pool. The pool also adds to the feeling that you're in a village community rather than a commercial hotel, as we made friends with our ”neighbours” and would see them from time to time when we were out swimming. The hotel's beach is clean and stunning, the sun beds are thickly padded and comfortable, and we made use of the bodyboarding and kayaking equipment on our stay. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible! The main ones are Ta-Krai (Thai), Sakura (Japanese), and Olive (Italian). Before arriving I was a bit sceptical at how authentic the restaurants would be but the hotel has ensured they've brought in the best chefs who could bring authentic cuisine to Khao Lak. The sushi at Sakura was probably the freshest and tastiest I've ever had (albeit, I've not been to Japan yet, but it's still better than all the London sushi places where we live and even better than Nobu). We loved Olive restaurant too, in particular their Sunset BBQ evening where you're spoilt for choice on meats, seafood, sides, salads, and a full-on Italian cheese and ham bar with really delicious, authentic selections. Chef Enzo there was dishing out cheeses to us and making recommendations what to pair each cheese with and was so helpful (and the cheeses were incredible). We opted for the Breakfast and Dinner package and we're really glad we did as we loved going back to those restaurants over the 10 days. For lunch we'd eat at the hotel cafes, or out at excursions, or at local restaurants adjacent to the hotel, such as Phen's (delicious!). We also bought a spa package at Quan Spa in the hotel and booked in lots of treatments throughout our stay. The spa is beautiful and the massage therapists were excellent; it's a bit pricier than outside the hotel but the spa environment is worth it for that luxe feeling (and still cheaper than in the UK!). Overall, I don't think we found and faults with our stay at JWM and we will definitely come back in the future, perhaps for our anniversaries! And we would highly recommend it to all our family and friends!

We upgraded from 2 suites from a package TUI booking pool villa 838 costing about 42K THB for 14 nights in November and December 2022. 2 adults, and 2 kids age 17 and 10 so the privacy of a private pool was one of our highlights of the holiday. This is such a peaceful resort with beautiful surroundings and very helpful staff. Notably Emme, Gift, Mark, Tee, Big, Yuda, Tar, Pecky and Winai. This resort is not within walking distance of town / Biang Nang market area, and a taxi to go there will set you back 300 THB each way from the guys on the beach outside the gate. That's the going rate both ways so don't be conned by a chancer. In the resort there's 2 restaurants, one's a buffet and the Napalai on the villa side of the river and you can eat from both if you upgrade. There are 2 swimming pools, several bars and organised trips to temples, islands, local markets, animal sanctuaries offered from the front desk or holiday rep so you aren't cut off from civilisation by being in such a remote area surrounded by beach and jungle, which is actually a plus point if you're a surfer, nature or beach lover because this resort scores a 10 if that's what interests you. We didn't travel to Thailand for the nightlife, just to chill in some winter sun. There's ample entertainment just 10 minutes away from the resort, in town or Memories bar, but if you want boom, boom, boom and all night drinking go to Phuket instead. I'd definitely return, but not with children.
When you stay at ROBINSON KHAO LAK in Takua Pa, you'll be on the beach, within a 5-minute walk of Bang Niang Beach and Laem Pakarang Beach. This luxury resort is 18.4 mi (29.6 km) from Khao Lak Beach and 0.1 mi (0.1 km) from Boat 813.

Our stay at Robinson the was great. It was the end of our trip with two sets of parents, and the perfect place to wind down and relax on a beautiful beach. The staff was excellent and made us feel immediately welcomed.
The biggest positives in our view: Staff, cleanliness, immaculate grounds, breakfast, gym/basketball/sports courts, and the great beach.
What could be improved upon: the a la carte menu at the Bamboo bar was lacking in Thai options, as well as general quality. We ordered 7 dishes, and only the samosas and fish and chips were of decent quality compared to other food on our trip. This was in stark contrast to their breakfast and dinner buffets, which were both pretty good.
Neutral: The location. While the resort has everything you'd need, they are fairly out of the way of everything. This offers a more private and quiet feel, but also means options are lacking, such as finding good Thai food or doing any light shopping or stocking up on drinking water at a sane price.
- If you walk south on the beach (through a fun rocky area when tide isn't too high), you'll find some good restaurants, such as Thai Beach restaurant. Their food was among the best we'd had on our trip. The massaman curry was fantastic.
Overall: Lovely stay, and would come back again for a few days!

Overall a fantastic holiday experience.
Rooms are nicely done up, clean and relaxing .
Staff are warm, welcoming, super helpful and friendly . Especially Nu who took great care of us . Great breakfast selection and super yummy.
Great setup at kids room which also catered to older kids with Pingpong table , ball machine, arcade games and other selection.
Staff at beach station were super helpful, all ready to help , SUP , boogie boards and kayaks available for use without charge. You really don’t have to go anywhere , just relax at the beautiful Sandy beach. Kids also played volleyball almost every evening with other guests .
Impressive fire show one night
We will definitely come back here .

Despite being a long way out of Khao Lak, (one of the last hotels, 15 mins out) it’s worth going the extra distance. Staff so friendly and helpful; everyone in the hotel. Our poolside room was wonderful-space to relax and slip into the water and also spa jets whenever we liked. The big pool with bar near the beach was also a pleasure to be at. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious and they catered for my food allergies very well. They gave options for level of spiciness for the Thai food. I had an injury and the late checkout til 6pm they provided for me was a final bonus. Highly recommend

Stay in this beautiful resort only if you’re ready to be spoilt by the amazing hospitality of their staff. It’s located in the middle of nowhere, but that doesn’t matter as the resort itself has everything you’ll need. We took the all in package. Rooms are luxurious, very clean, very well kept. The resort itself is very well kept, pool, beach, bar, playroom. Very family friendly. Stayed here twice, both during peak (March) and low peak(June), both occasions felt very different, i personally preferred the peak, however one thing that did not change was the hospitality of their amazing staff! A special shout out to Kwan for professionally handling the tantrum of a hungry 35yr old (me). Great selection of food in their restaurants too. And when you need a laugh, Sit@Aon will crack you up. Will always come back.

I booked a regular room for 1,400 RMB a night on Ctrip.
FOOD:
The food was really unpalatable. I ordered three dishes in the picture and took a bite of each one. The taste was wrong and it was very unpalatable! The free bread basket was thought to be moldy. Papaya salad, whoever eats it will be disappointed.
Checked in and waited 25 minutes. There is no service at all.
There were not many guests on the day I checked in. I saw on Ctrip that there were rooms with sea views. I asked the front desk if I could upgrade the room? Answer: No.
There was a very damp musty smell upon entering the room.
When I checked in, I found that the light in the room was broken. People from the engineering department repaired it for 20 minutes while I was present.
Why book this hotel? Because it is very close to the pier to Similan, it takes 40 minutes to drive.
If I go to Similan Island next time, I will definitely not stay in this hotel.

Outstanding
GGuest UserThe hotel is not very new, but it is well maintained. The environment, service, and rooms are all very good. The service details are perfect. The beach outside the hotel is soft and long, and the sunset every day is so beautiful. In addition, the swimming pool and the thoughtful breakfast that can be ordered all day are also plus points. In addition, it was Songkran Festival, and the hotel warmly invited guests to participate in their celebrations, allowing us to spend an unforgettable festival together. Thank you very much. The hotel made me feel refreshed after diving, and we will come back
What makes a relaxing getaway coupled with a successful business is the professional staff at the resort. JW Marriott at Khao Lak has the professional, multilingual staff on board to help make your getaway experience as relaxing and comfortable as possible. From Khun Apple at the front desk during check in or Khun Oum at the check out desk, they provided such excellent, quality service making my family feel appreciated. All the service staff helped play with my 2 year old son, which made me feel like children are also appreciated at this resort. We loved P’Apple who showed us the farm and took the time to explain the company’s plan creating an ecotourism experience for guests. The facilities were immaculate! The rooms are dry and well-built despite the high humidity. The pool is well kept and ver my fun to swim around the property. I know this isn’t a company specific issue, but the amount of trash that washed up on the beach and left there was an eye sore. I wanted to play in the sand and water but the amount of foam, fishing wire, and plastic was so concerning. I get that this is a greater ecosystem issue as opposed to JW’s issue. Lastly, enjoy the sunset on this property. It’s so tranquil.
AAlexhoThis resort was excellent! I travelled here my girlfriend for the weekend and it exceeded all of expectations. The location is perfect right next to the beach, and the hospitality of the staff were unparralled. The breakfast was delicious with many options, and my room was very spacious, comfortable. I highly recommend this resort to anyone and I would love to come back again if we visit Khao Lak again.
JJINThe breakfast was plentiful and many choices. Take children to swim and dig sand. If you experience other items, the hotel can arrange to send to la vela without incurring costs. The hotel view is very good. I really got up in the morning to open the window, and I was in a beautiful mood.
GGuest UserWas booked as a birthday treat. If you like organised activities and timetables then it's for you.
On arrival they asked for passports, out to the car to get, then voucher, out to the car to get, then a copy of my credit card.
Really was not happy with that and thought it unnecessary as they had details from booking as the room was paid for,it made me very uncomfortable.
The main swimming pool was large but had only one place to get in so was a long walk.
We ate outside the hotel at one of the many less expensive restaurants. Our view from our room in block 13 overlooked a dilapidated roof of the Thai themed restaurant, didn't compel us to eat there. The room itself was comfortable and clean and we loved the dressing gown, it's our thing. WiFi around the resort was good. Sunset memorable.
A great place for families that like a package holiday. Not for us.
Good 3 star budget hotel staff friendly rooms cleaned daily breakfast was ok and the restaurant turns into a Italian on the evening that was very good 2 pools one near reception quieter usual pool towel problems on sun beds some all day and guests never even turned up to use ! 5 minutes walk to beach sadly no sun beds ect hotel is 2 minutes walk to main ***** restaurants massage gifts was a good chilled stay
GGuest UserWonderfully peaceful and laid back hotel. The staff are wonderful each and everyone we met. They truly cannot do enough to make your holiday special. We had a Grande Deluxe room on the top floor overlooking the swim up pool. It was perfect! The bed was huge as was the bath. Bottled water was replenished every day. The room was also cleaned spotlessly daily. Breakfast was a choice of fruits/yoghurts, eggs/bacon/tomatoes or Thai stir fry. Something for everyone! Bars are dotted around the entire resort. Obviously they charge hotel prices but they all have their own happy hour (actually it’s 2hrs!!). Time it right and a bottle of beer is 70baht and cocktails 130baht. It’s a 10 minute walk into Khao Lak and the start of a 1.5km ***** of shops and restaurants. Alternatively there will always be taxis waiting outside the hotel entrance. You can get these for 100Baht (£2.20). It’s 200Baht if you fancy a trip to the market which is a couple of km further. We left early at 5am and were provided with a breakfast box to take with us which was a nice touch. Overall we loved this hotel and will definitely return. Kha Lak is the perfect place to visit and Moracea is the perfect hotel to base yourselves. Thank you for making our holiday special.
GGuest UserWe had a very good 4 day break here. We rented a bungalow which was roomy with its own terrace. Good sized double bed, fridge, great shower room and a huge bath. The setting is gorgeous, the other side of the road from a deserted beach - but no sun beds. Water ways and a lake surround it and makes you feel as though you are in the rainforest. Beautiful - if it was cleaned up. Therein lies the problem. The whole place needs a refurbishment and the gardens/grounds need to be a lot tidier. It was probably OK before Covid and I sympathise with them, but for the money it should be a lot better. The breakfast was ok but not worth looking to eat there in the evening. Having said that there are four great restaurants outside within 100 yards. All the staff were wonderful and very helpful - English not their strong point but you can get by OK. It is a long way from Khao Lak so you need a car/bike. The area is well worth spending some time around, especially Takua Pa Old Town. The Tsunami museums are not great but still a must visit. We did enjoy our stay but feel that with a lot more effort the place would be really buzzing again. Would we go back? Possibly - as we loved the area and you could get a great dinner at the Mercure Resort (or the Meridien) if you wanted to push the boat out - as we did for my wife’s birthday on 8th February.
LLord_WoelkchenToZleep Hostel is one of the place where you have to go when u want to be in the contact with other backpackers and have some good nights on the main road. The rooms are noise but clean. If you want a quiet room you shoud book a different one. For us it was a pleasent stay
MMaikThe restaurant staff are nice but the management is poor. We celebrated our New Year in the Hotel with boring experience because of poor preparations from the management. Poor coordination between the guests and front desk staff. The resort is not well maintained. We won’t go back here again in the future not unless they will change.
