I stayed at DoubleTree by Hilton Turin from Jan 29 to Jan 31. Overall the location is convenient, but several issues significantly impacted my experience.
The biggest problem: I forgot my charger in my room, and when I contacted the hotel, I was told it was not found. This was extremely frustrating and leaves a very bad impression about the reliability of their lost-and-found process. If you travel with valuable items, I strongly recommend double-checking everything before checking out, because you may not see it again.
Other negatives:
• Breakfast service was slow: it took around 20 minutes to get a cappuccino, and the overall breakfast quality felt average at best.
• EV charging was poorly explained: arriving at 11:30 pm, there was no clear indication that you must go to reception to start the charging session. I wasted about 15 minutes downloading an app for nothing, while the label on the charger actually suggests a different process.
• Noise at night: on Friday, there was an event in the Green Pea shopping center (2nd floor) and the noise continued until around 2:00 am, which made it hard to sleep.
• Basic amenities: no shower gel on the second day (not replenished).
• Pillow quality: flat and uncomfortable.
Positive: the hotel is well located.
I wanted to like this stay, but between the noise, slow breakfast service, poor EV guidance, and especially the way my missing charger was handled, I would hesitate to return.
