Great hotel. We were upgraded to a suite without asking! Everyone was very helpful, and breakfast! Great location. They arranged a taxi for us to go to BC FERRY. Told us approximately how long it would take. Even told us a few restaurants we were interested in. We would stay there again.

The WYCA is located pretty well central and easy to get anywhere in Vancouver. Room was clean and basic but had all you need. Bed was excellent. Wifi worked well and shower was very good. We also had a balcony. There was no kettle in the unit but free tea and brewed coffee was available in the morning.
Overall it is a good value place to base yourself when staying in Vancouver

The location was perfect, and the room was quite spacious for the two of us, my teenager son and i, as we were in town for university campus visits. The beds were very comfortable, and the Starbucks in the lobby, and the mosaic restaurant served good food (for lunch). Parking was right down in the basement, and was very convenient. We parked the car there and walked around Robson avenue for shopping. Checkout was also very speedy and done online, without the need to line up.

(My name is anonymized to protect my identity for this review) This review was delayed due to an ongoing police investigation about our stay here in the Versante Hotel. My wife and I booked our stay at the Versante hotel, originally from Monday, August 29th until Saturday, August 3rd. We booked the penthouse suite on the 14th floor and loved it so much that we cancelled our reservations at the Fairmont hotel, just so we can extend our stay before we go to the airport for our family trip on the 6th. What we thought was going to be one of the most relaxing stays through our hotel experience quickly turned into a nightmare at the Versante hotel. It was a betrayal of trust from the Versante hotel staff and what Versante portrayed their company’s values to be. I would like to mention there were a few notable staff members that were exceptional and compassionate, and it’s a shame that this experience would reflect poorly on the hard working individuals who really tried to make our stay memorable. What had occurred in your hotel with the staff members that you hired to take care of your guests was unbelievably heartbreaking and I do not wish for anyone to go through what my wife and I had to witness. On Tuesday, August 30th we booked for a hot stone massage at Spa Versante and confirmed our booking for a shuttle the next day at 3:45PM. Manager Yasin was the one who had confirmed our shuttle booking for the spa the next day at 3:45PM. On Wednesday, August 31st at 315PM we received a call from our hotel room (1404) from Nini, the front desk receptionist. Nini asked to confirm if we had booked a shuttle for 330PM. We then told her it was confirmed for 345PM. She said OK and we hung up. At 345PM my wife went downstairs to meet the shuttle that we had booked the day before for my wife’s spa appointment. There was no shuttle. My wife asked the Valet who was there and he asked her for her name and said it was not ticketed. He then took my wife to the receptionist who was working at the front, named Nini, and asked about the shuttle booking. My wife informed her about her appointment at the spa and shuttle booking, which should have made it obvious to Nini that the booking was for the Versante Spa further away. Nini then told her there was no shuttle that goes to the spa and it only goes to YVR. Ultimately, Nini said my wife wasn’t booked for a shuttle. When my wife told her we had received a phone call from her (at 315PM) to confirm our shuttle, Nini had denied making any calls to our room. Nini then told my wife there wasn’t a shuttle coming and pointed at the door and told her to walk. Nini did not provide any help or resolution, she had dismissed my wife’s needs as a guest and failed to provide her with adequate information for her confirmed bookings at Versante Spa. It was only two girls working, Nini and Monica at front desk. Upon speaking in person with Nini, my wife recognized her voice on the phone. She had denied ever calling my room to confir

The transportation is convenient, and the staff's service is also very good, but the equipment is old and the sound insulation of the entire room is very poor. As long as there is water in any room, the rumbling sound of the water can easily wake people up; the heating and cooling equipment is also poor. OK, the equipment is running on the floor of the room and the sound is very loud. It is OK if you live there.
The Mexican restaurant attached to the first floor of the hotel has great food!
Awesome B&B! The boss is super nice. We couldn't find a place to store our luggage two days before check-in, and the boss immediately agreed to store it for us. It really helped us a lot~ The room is very new, very clean and warm. The living room is fully equipped with chocolates and drinks. There are also maps and cute guestbooks that we tourists can use~~ The location is also very convenient. There is a bus stop at the main entrance. There are various supermarkets within walking distance. It is less than ten minutes drive from the airport and outlets. 👍 Overall, it is highly recommended~ Come again next time!

My husband and I stayed one night at the Burnaby location in order to attend a dinner function nearby. We checked into our room and the heater was already on and set at 68 and seemed to be working OK. Shortly after we arrived in the room, a maintenance person knocked on the door to see how the heater was working. That should have clued us in as to what would happen next. A bit later, the unit started to spit out cooler air. I might add that the unit never cycled off and on as it should. I turned the unit up to around 72 to see if that would make a difference but no it did not. We contacted the front desk and within 5 minutes, maintenance came to check. We were told that the heater had to remain at 68, no higher or it wouldn’t work. I have never heard of such a thing. High temperature in Vancouver was mid 40's dipping into the 30's at night. By this time, it was 5:30 and we had to head out the door for the dinner event at 6PM. I wish we would have demanded a different room, because when we returned it was definitely cooler in the room. We were both tired and needed to leave the hotel early in the morning so we decided to “gut it out”. I looked for additional blankets and there were none. I wound up sleeping a total of 2 hours in my coat. This was not a comfortable experience. I am generously giving this property 2 stars as the room itself was clean and the bedding was comfortable. The front desk clerk kindly gave us a 50% discount for our discomfort which was the best she could do, but when I contacted their HQ was offered a 50% discount off a future stay. Don't think I will take them up on that offer, but thanks anyway.

We had reminded the front desk that we need to refresh the room we came back from downtown found that our room was not made so had to go out again and insisted our room had to be cleaned irregardless as we woke up later than usual time to put the cleaning label outside the door.
Finally , the cleaning is done.
This is basic need, glad it was finally done when we came back from dinner.
Room is nice and spacious. Facilities is good and the microwave oven in the room was brilliant. Coffee maker was just too small. Coffeemaker for two cups would have been better.

The facility is a little old. The bedside light burnt out when i was reading and the plug of the electric kettle wasn't working. Other than these small things, all was good. Shuttle service is recommendable and there are interesting restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. Tried a Chinese noodle place called ban but xian. The food was so tasty.

I had a pretty uncomfortable experience at this hotel. There is a lot of vaping going on that comes intot he room through the ventilation system. My ears were popping repeatedly in the one night I stayed there. I was having trouble breathing at times as well. There was also a really unpleasant odor at times due to the vaping that made me want to throw up. The air quality due to the problem felt very unhealthy at times. They also did not have an airport shuttle service, which was advertised on the booking page and the reason I chose the hotel. When I talked to the manager one the phone about it, he said he would pay me fr one way to or from the airport, but after I arrived, they tried to get out of paying for it. I had to fight to get what was promised to me. If hotels are going to claim to be non-smoking, they have an obligation to provide non-smoking accommodations to their guests. Most hotels say they are non-smoking these days, but I am experiencing more smoking than I have in my twenty years of travel due to this vaping problem that the hotels are not addressing. They claim to take smoking seriously but have absolutely no enforcement measures in place when a complaint is made. If guests are risking their health and comfort to stay there, any amenity or positive aspect is just not worth it. If you are experiencing pressure on your chest, ears popping, musty or weird smells or general air quality issues, it’s likely that someone, or many people, is vaping in a nearby room.

Outstanding
GGuest UserParadox Hotel is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a long time. We typically stay at Four Seasons, Fairmont’s, and other hotels similar to these types of hotels. Paradox had first class service starting at the valet (Marty), along with all individuals at the front counter. To top off our stay, we had Andrew from concierges that took great care of us, as he went above and beyond for my wife’s 40th birthday celebration. -I will be writing a person letter to Andrew, for all the amazing things he did to make our stay so memorable. It’s hard to put into words the results of our trip, as all of it was amazing, from the lounge (Megan/Morgan/Vanessa were all fantastic and were extremely friendly. To the Mansion nightclub, where everyone was fantastic and provided amazing service, as we decided to get table service for the birthday celebration. If anyone is contemplating staying at the Paradox, do not think twice about booking, you will not regret it. Also, amazing walking distance to so many amazing shops and restaurants. All-in-all, we will be back to see all the amazing people we met and we look forward to our next trip to the Paradox Hotel.
GGuest UserThis hotel could be so much better, especially for the price. On the positive side, the staff, including the concierge, Lisa, and the whole crew on the G floor are outstanding - the most friendly and helpful people. My suite was comfortable and quiet. The king size bed was firm. The air conditioner works well. The bathroom is big. The hotel location is good, near museums and Yaletown, with restaurants and boutiques nearby. The gym and the pool area are also good and, not many hotels in the city have an outdoor pool. The negatives are the extreme neglect regarding renovation and cleaning. For example, with COVID still an issue, after I checked in and stayed the first night in the hotel, I found an empty bottle of water behind the sofa and an used and dirty shirt near the bed. I did not noticed it immediately, because I arrived at 2 am and went straight to bed. To get my room cleaned daily was an ordeal. The hotel apologizes for being understaffed, but the prices were high, around CAD $5.500 for a week’s stay. If you cannot deliver the service, you should not be charging for it, The carpets and the curtains look old, dirty and shabby in the room and common areas. But by far the worse things about the Hilton Vancouver are the elevators. It is not unusual to wait 15 minutes, I am not exaggerating, to go from your floor to the lobby. I understand there is a shortage of workers in Vancouver, but some of the disappointing features of the Hilton could, in my opinion, be addressed by management that cares and is committed to providing guests with what they deserve based on their rates.
HHediPros:
• owner is very responsive and keeps on checking us for anything that we need
• location is downtown so it is near to most of the sites we wanna go
• very near the train station and closer to a bus stop too
• it has T&T on the ground flr which makes it easy to buy stuffs and even meals
• stone's throw away to a lot of coffee shops and restaurants in
• place is really big for two people and I love the view from the balcony and rooms
Cons:
• place needs a little more cleaning, dusts were everywhere (we kept on sneezing)
• no netflix or channel on TV. There was on the 1st day.
We will still consider this place if we are going to downtown. It is just very convenient.
GGuest UserThe hotel is very small, not the same as the international chain St. Regis, it is independent. The hotel only has 5 floors and the rooms are not big, but the service is pretty good. Breakfast is a sit-down order and you can choose one of three options. If the room price already includes breakfast, just provide your room number.
GGuest UserI have some concerns regarding my experience at The Sutton Hotel. Firstly, I noticed that the front desk staff didn't seem very patient or eager to assist Chinese guests like myself. This made me feel somewhat unwelcome.
Secondly, I found the hotel rooms to be quite dusty, despite our efforts to keep them clean. Surprisingly, the dust accumulated rapidly on the bedside table and telephone. I suspect that the air inside the room might be the cause of this issue, as even the air conditioning panel appeared to be covered in dust.
I believe these observations are worth addressing by the hotel management to improve the overall experience for all guests, regardless of their nationality. It would be beneficial if steps were taken to enhance the cleanliness of the rooms and ensure a more welcoming and accommodating atmosphere for all visitors.
Ttony6598It was the longest hotel stay. I was isolated in this room for 15 days in accordance with the entry requirements. Although the area is not large, it is still a small suite with a little more space for activities.
GGuest UserStayed here with my partner for 3 nights while in town for a concert, the hotel location was great because it is like a block away from the harbour and if you’re comfortable with walking it’s a 45 minute walk to English Bay and like 15 min or less to Robson street. They do have a restaurant located in the lobby and the food always smelt amazing, but because we were only there for 3 nights we were more focused on trying different food places around Van, though we plan to come back and try the food at the lounge. The beds were comfy and the room was quaint and all we needed since we spent most of the time out of the hotel room and just came back to rest. Check in and check out was also very easy and fast.
白白花We were pleasantly surprised with the excellent quality and design of the room. Everything is very convenient and well-prepared. The furniture is good and new. There is a closet, drawers and a small coffee shop area where you can sit, drink coffee and relax while looking at the view. There was a microwave, coffee machine and a fridge. The bathroom was very elegant and convenient with LED mirrors which are so great if you want to apply makeup on your special day. There were many towels as well with some basic toiletries. The reception staff was always very friendly and helpful. The location is closed to many shops, supermarkets and public transportation. The hotel is very safe and clean.
SSin WahHotel location is super perfect which nearby the centre point of Vancouver, many restaurants surround hotel especially Korean food, and we stay in penthouse floor which can look at the north side of Vancouver and hills. By the way no special facilities and service here and some of furnitures in room are getting old and not plenty clean although they charge me cleaning fee before check-in
CConnor RoughleyPerfect location for downtown vancouver with lots to offer, the staff seemed nice but the guy on the desk on the evening was not impressed with. Very abrupt and unhelpful and unwelcoming. The other staff I dealt with seemed nice and freindly.
Connected to q bar which runs events on the evening which is great for socialing, but wouldn't recommend if you was there amd wanting to sleep earlier in the night as music is loud and can be disturbing. Cleanliness was average but what you'd expect from a hostel as its not about there cleaning but sometimes the people staying there with toilets and shower areas not really respected for other guests.
Didn't impact my experience and is probably what you'd expect for one of the cheaper hostels in the area
