We stayed at the property after my mother fell, broke her hip and had to have hip replacement surgery. We were staying at a property near by and needed to find last minute new accommodations due to the delay in the trip. The staff and management team was amazing. The property had recently opened and they were still getting ready for the summer season but again, I can't say enough good things about our experience. They assisted us with dinner reservations and additional hotel accommodations near the airport. We had a private nurse visit each day which they also assisted with. Our situation was a bit challenging being in another country and they helped make a difficult situation enjoyable.

Beautiful and amazing, the place to be in Sologne. From the minute we arrived we were met by a big smile from the receptionist who took her time to explain the Domaine and the history of the Castle. We had a great room in the Castle with an incredible view overlooking the gardens. The rooms are very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and spotless. We had a delicious dinner at the restaurant, the waiter was charming and spoke very good English. I recommend this hotel and hope to get back soon.

Overall, we absolutely loved our stay here and wished we stayed longer. We highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. Beds: Incredibly comfortable and linens were divine! Room: We were traveling as a party of 3 and were told the rooms in the converted horse stables were larger so we booked one of those rooms. We found our room (N5) to be very spacious and well appointed (we even had a little foyer with a closet so you could remove your shoes and jackets before going into the bedroom area). Our room had a nice desk to work at, fireplace, sitting area, and a little room separated with a closing door for our 3rd person with space enough for a single bed and a suitcase. The bathroom was very large and modern. Towels and robes were nice and plush and loved using the large towel warmer for towels and drying off bathing suits. Note: We do not think that the mini bar was complementary. At most of the other hotels we stayed at on our France trip it was included or at least some items were included. Not a big deal for us, just something not to assume is included. Wi-Fi: Very strong. My husband had to do a few work/zoom calls and streamed some sports games and had no issues at all. Grounds: Breathtaking! They have a large staff to ensure every piece of gravel is combed into place! Only area of improvement to note was that both of the pools could have used a scrub and the adult/calm pool had some debris floating in it as it is surrounded closely by the gardens, but the condition was understandable as we went at the end of the day/end of the season. Note: You need to ask for pool towels at the reception for the family pool or at the spa for the calm/adult pool as they are not readily available at the pool. When we asked the staff quickly jumped into action and placed towels down by the pool for us. Activities: - Bikes: Make sure you take one of the complementary e-bikes to explore the grounds. There are farm animals (miniature horses, chickens, pheasants, etc) and little clear domes (bubbles) for yoga/meditation. You cannot get too lost as all of the property gates we came across on our biking excursion around the property were locked. - Row boats: Did not use but there are 2 at the lake’s edge with paddles in them for use when you want. - Spa: Very clean and serene. As a guest you have complimentary access of the hot and dry sauna. The calm/adult pool is just outside so you can go for a refreshing dip right after. Service: Very friendly and eager to help. They have a golf cart to assist with your luggage at arrival and departure (we just called reception when we were about ready to leave 10 minutes before and they were ready and waiting to help). Note: Not all staff speak English but again are eager to help. Even my non-French speaking husband was able to mime and use google translate to ask his questions and have some laughs with the staff. Breakfast: Not included in the cost of the room but worth it as the hotel/grounds are so nice you don’t wan

Having just purchased a property nearby, we made a dinner reservation at La Borde en Sologne to celebrate. From the moment we drove through the gates of this overwhelmingly beautiful Estate our experience was flawless. We were warmly welcomed by staff (who spoke both French & English), and invited to relax & enjoy pre-dinner cocktails in the splendidly landscaped gardens. As it was a pleasant summer's evening, dinner was served alfresco in the courtyard of the Chateau on pretty tables shaded by elegant parasols. We selected a variety of dishes; each showcased produce not just from wonderful local purveyors but also from the Chateau's own vegetable gardens. Each dish was absolutely delicious and beautifully crafted. It was impossible to decide which one of us had chosen the "winner". Our evening was fabulous in every way and we feel very blessed to have such an exceptional property on our doorstep. Our experience more than exceeded our expectations - and we look forward to sharing this special place with family & friends in the future.

The resort is gorgeous, painstakingly restored, immaculate interiors and surprisingly above average food. The rooms are huge and comfortable. Giant modern bathrooms with plenty of amenities. However, the staff needs serious training. When we missed housekeeping in the morning and asked if they could come in the afternoon we were told-how about tomorrow? We had to hunt for someone, anyone, to get us a drink. Asked for water for our bike ride & tennis match-no, sorry. Asked for help making a same day reservation for lunch-no, I don’t want to get yelled at. Please get a proper management team in to turn this place around and make it in to the 5 star property it deserves to be.

I have never seen a property as such decorated so well and restored to such beauty open to the public. What a feast for the eyes. Clearly no expense was spared. The gardens, the buildings, the bathrooms! That is why it is so unfortunate that the management is so awful. There are so many things that were wrong and disappointing but I will just list a few. Imagine coming down for dinner and being told that there’s no dinner for you! Even though the restaurant is empty and it’s the “sandwich and salad” menu. The chef just said “No dinner for you!” Lamentable. Imagine having to carry your own bags because there is no porter and the only people to help are the reception girls. Imagine every request, be it for a cocktail or a towel be received as an inconvenience. Imagine the same girls at the reception being the ones giving the massages. Imagine the director of the hotel on the first weekend of summer being MIA. The entire management team should be fired on the spot given the amount of love and detail that was put into this hotel. We will never be back.

This property is beautifully restored chateau. Everyone on the property is very welcoming and helpful. They told us beforehand when the chateau won’t be available to dine in so we could eat somewhere outside and called and made reservations for us. The dinner on the property was absolutely delicious. Since they just opened a bit ago, they are still fine tuning things but we definitely loved it and hope to be back and hope that management would get even better over time. Good luck!
