We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, and loved the ambience. Restaurant was top-notch; breakfast was OK but not up the usual 5-star standards in terms of selection of items. Lots of confusion around our egg orders.Rooms excellent value for the price, incredibly spacious; we had a room overlooking the pool with a terrace (room 31). Some lapses in service, and be sure to ask how to drive there by car. It was very hard to find and one way street leading into the hotel entrance. At time of our visit (May 2024) there was construction going on in the church next door. You are so close ot Avignon, and you don't have to deal with the craziness of the city. We took the No. 5 bus from the city of Avignon back to Villeneuve des Avignon, where the hotel is, after spending 25 euro for a taxi ride in. Bus cost only 1.40 euro each!

We have stayed at the mercure next door ~5 years ago & the rooms were so hot (in July..& they showed us 3 different rooms!) that we couldn’t sleep, so we thought we would try the Kyriad this time. Even though they have the same type “central” heat/ac, I was actually able to adjust the temp in my room. We stayed in Jan & sometimes hotels in Europe have the heat on full blast(too hot!) so I was happy to be able to have some control in order to sleep well. I also appreciated how new & super clean the room was. The mini bar had a few cold drinks for sale inside & the rest was open for your items (No freezer section). The coffee supplies were very adequate👏The bathroom was spotless! Our room overlooked the square & with the windows closed, we could not hear a thing. The young lady & man working reception were very nice & their English was excellent. Best location & price that I could find for the amenities

We spent the morning to get the codes of the door for late arrival (festival) and deposit our bags that were waiting for us in the room tonight. The hotel is located in the city centre of Avignon, and is located in the city centre of Avignon. (Breads, yacht, compot, juice. With Clim, we appreciated the kindness and availability of the bosses and hopefully return to it more than one night can be on train. ( easy access with bus 16) the swimming pool has tried well but we missed time.

We were in Avignon during their music and theater festival and were lucky enough to get a room at the well-located Hotel de Cambis. Our arrival was very stressful - we foolishly decided to drive and drop off our luggage before returning our rental car to the TGV station. Due to the festival, we ended up around the corner from the hotel entrance on a street that technically was closed to cars. After I took our first bag to the lobby, the desk clerk came out, walked to the car and helped me carry the remaining bags (while my husband explained our car’s presence to a gendarme). When we later returned to the hotel, our bags were already in the room, a tremendous relief on a hot and frantic day. The room was spacious and the a/c really good, which was wonderful on 99 degree days. The breakfast (9 euros pp) was plentiful with decent selection. There is a lovely, comfortable salon on the second floor by the breakfast room where they serve afternoon tea and snacks. We spent time there reading and relaxing. Nice bathroom, good shower. Very little noise from inside the hotel but our window faced a lively street. If that is a concern, you might ask for a room on the quiet side. The street the hotel entrance was on was very nice, with lovely boutiques and lots of options for food. Easy walk to all the sights of Avignon. There were grocery stores, a pharmacy and a boulangerie close by. All the staff were terrific and helpful. Highly recommend.

The hotel is in a small city with the most beautiful trip this time. The whole city only needs to be walked. You can enjoy the rich ancient architecture scenery around, and friendly customs. Good restaurants are all around. There are few bars and very lively, everywhere. It is a beautiful view, the air is particularly good, and the moonlight is beautiful at night. The hotel is a 400-year-old building. A small hotel is directly built and connected. It also has many years of history. I like these poplars, pine trees, etc., looking at the inner garden. It’s also very comfortable, and I also feel why the French can read a book on a sun lounger and drink a cup of coffee. It’s a day. When it comes to the beautiful breakfast environment, looking at the landscape through the glass, it is also a European-style breakfast. Everything is very good at the hotel, the decoration and sanitary conditions are not bad, but there are big problems at the front desk of the hotel. Not all front desk staff, but a thin middle-aged man on duty between 10pm and 11pm at the front desk was very rude. When he returned to the hotel at about 10pm on January 7, 2022, he found the door closed and rang the bell, but there was no one at the front desk. So I pressed the bell a few times, and after a while the tall, middle-aged man on duty came to the door and yelled at me as a customer, then argued with me and accused me of ringing the bell as a customer almost woke the hotel (After telling another front desk staffer the next day, the staff said the ringing was displayed on the phone with the front desk and staff, and strangely, the staff member didn't hear me through the phone while ringing last night Wait a minute, so I rang the bell a few more times). I was uncomfortable expressing the staff's attitude and the yelling seemed to be treating a madman, who replied, ”Yes, it's treating a madman.” In summary, it is not so simple to ring the bell. The professional accomplishment of the staff, and the waiting for people to receive things, obviously do not meet the needs of the hotel staff, and the face of different guests obviously feel racial discrimination, have complained, Waiting for a response from the hotel. Think twice about booking this hotel, and meeting the thin high school man can be extremely uncomfortable.

I stayed at the Avignon Grand Hotel with my partner from 12 to 16 September 22 there were however a number of short comings. The first of these was that the room we had been provided with was infested with mosquitoes - we had discovered this in the middle of the night after hearing the typical mosquito sounds and in the morning we had noticed we had numerous mosquito bites on our bodies. I had complained to the hotel front desk, the staff however appeared dismissive, my fundamental point to them was that the room should have been properly disinfected of the insects prior to making it available to customers. Secondly, breakfast in the hotel was of the bare minimum, in terms of hot cooked food , only bacon and scrambled eggs were available, the latter was of poor quality and almost resembled a paste as the eggs were cooked in far too much cream and milk.Cereal, bread, croissants, yogurt and some fruit were also available. No hot water was available in the hotel in the morning of the 16 September 22. Lastly, all the TV channels were in French, not even one channel was available in English. We had booked this hotel on the understanding it was of 4 stars, given however the shortcomings above together with the standard and quality that were below customer expectations it is difficult to see how the 4 star rating and price being charged was justified.

We celebrated my wifes 50th birthday at the Château des Fines Roches. The chateau is just amazing! Really beautiful and special with just amazing surroundings. To open the room window in the morning and look over the valley is really nice. The staff is excellent and service minded. Whatever we needed help with, or the preparation, some things I've ordered in advance for the birthday was just perfect. They even made sure the sommelier experience worked with our dates, although the initial response was that the dates didn't match. Just perfect customer service! We also had dinner which was an excellent experience as well. BIG thank you to everyone that helped us during our stay. A happy memory for life and you really made my wifes 50th birthday special!
