Jacky's is the place for me as someone who has very limited understanding of Chinese. Moreover, many of the older villagers can't speak Chinese anyway. Jacky is a native of this place. I chose a very basic room which was sufficient for my needs. He was most helpful with information on photography, himself being a photographer and Hani culture. He arranged arrival and departure for me and helped with luggage. Please be aware that you will be in a very rural and once remote part of the country, so don't expect luxurious surroundings. If you are squirmish about mud, dirt and animal droppings, well, get used to it and enjoy one of the wonders of human effort and creation. If you are a photographer, do yourself a favour and also get a drone. Incomparable and endless views of rice terraces. And yes, Duoduo their dog can take you for a walk down to the terraces.

Jacky is great host, very interesting with a lot of information about the area. The food was great there and we slept very well. Thank again Jacky!

Great location right at one of the best terrace. Jacky and the ladies are really friendly and helpful! The food they prepared was so delicious :) The only problem was that the room was not very clean. I found a cigarette bud on the floor and the bed side table had some sauce stains on it that I had to clean myself. Also the bathroom was not very clean. Luckily the bed was ok. Stains in the walls too. Still, I would recommend.

Wow! Jacky is a man of many talents: he is a tour guide, driver, guesthouse owner and chef. He is a local whose English is very good. He is very knowledgeable about the area and very interesting to talk to. His place is amazing and located right on the edge of and overlooking the Duoyishu Rice Terraces. Unfortunately there was plenty clouds and fog for the sunrise, but Jacky's rooftop has an amazing view of the rice terraces, and on the perfect morning, I'm sure it'll be amazing. Next time we'll stay here 2 or 3 nights. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! P.s. The only thing is the location on trip is correct but to get there using a gps, you need to go to the nearest parking lot, and then walk down through the village to the Guesthouse.

Jacky is really nice, helpful and speak English fluently. Always available to help. His hotel is in a really good location, with a terrasse just next to the rice paddies. You can see the sunrise from there

Amazing! Our clean spacious room had everything we needed. It was great! We accidentally left our window open, so there were a lot of flies, we told the staff (Sky), she put it loads of bug repellents down which was amazing and so kind. Sky spoke fluent English and was like our tour guide for our time there. She took us round the rice terraces, the local villages and markets. We lived like the locals, very peaceful, no other tourist or tour groups. The food was delicious! Honestly, would highly recommend! (The closest train station is actually gejiu (only 2 hours, and the roads are a lot less scary). Sky helped us organise all the drivers we needed. Add them on WeChat once you've booked.

great hotel in an amazing area! everyone was very friendly and helpful. we had a comfortable stay and will come back to jackys if we visit again!

A B&B worth recommending. The B&B is in a great location, right by the paddy fields. You can watch the sunrise from the balcony and rooftop of the room. The home-cooked food is also very suitable for our taste. Several scenic spots recommended by the boss are very impressive!

Jackey provides very professional services, giving tour route suggestions based on the guest's situation, contacting the chartered taxi master, and the most important thing is that the cooking is very delicious. The dog Duoduo is also very dedicated and can lead the way. The view from the room was first-rate, with terraces opening right through the door. I stayed there for two days and was lucky enough to see a beautiful sunrise on the first day.

Jacky welcomed me very warmly into his hostel. Very well located, clean, affordable prices. There is food on site and there are even very nice postcards to buy. I recommend

The boss was very enthusiastic. When we arrived at the parking lot, he found someone to pick us up and help us carry our luggage. The inn has a restaurant, which is very convenient for eating, and the boss cooks delicious food. The room is clean and tidy, and you can see the terraces outside the window. There is a terrace on the top floor where you can also see the terraces.
