We were initially staying at a large Hyatt brand hotel in Lijiang, and wanted to experience these up and coming boutique, modern style hotels. So my comparison is against the traditional big name hotels with similar price points.
Pros:
1. Interesting design, bathroom right by the window
2. Great service, you can contact them easily and they are always free to have a conversation with you
3. Free flow drinks and snacks
4. Free car service to nearby towns
5. Cute open farm where you can feed and play with goats, ponies and even dogs.
Cons:
1. Open concept lobby. Was freezing when having my breakfast.
2. Breakfast only starts at 8:30am, with limited options. You don’t get to enjoy the buffet style of large hotels.
3. Had trouble figuring out how to turn on heating, so was absolutely freezing in the room.
4. Room Design didn’t translate into practicality. Didn’t enjoy the open concept toilet. But this is contentious, and really up to individual preference. But I didn’t get the luxury experience I was looking for.
5. Lack of privacy: we booked the room with a large hot tub with Mountain View. However it is also facing the farm and being on the second floor. Anyone can easily look up and see us in the bath tub. While there is no one playing at night, we were only limited to night time baths which was a waste as we wouldn’t be able to enjoy the view in the day time.
Overall, while I enjoyed the personalized and impeccable service (comparable to Aman hotels and expensive Maldives resorts), I just feel like the hotel being new, has a few teething issues it needs to resolve.
I would argue that it is also an individual’s personal preference. For me, they shared the same price point with the large luxury brands in the area, but I just did not get the luxury experience from the room and hotel’s design. Their room design seem to heavily focus on aesthetics but not really functionality for their guests.

The service is very good. If the room needs it, they will help clean it every day. The housekeepers are all handsome men and beautiful women. The service is also very warm and good.
There will be warm reminders for daily breakfast and afternoon tea. If there are special requirements, they can also be customized. 👍👍👍Recommend booking a room with a terrace. The view is really great.
There is also a little yak (Maomao) & a little deer (Grape) who are very cute. You can feel free to rua👍
It’s a pity that I didn’t encounter good weather when I went there, but the view is really first-class

1 The service is impeccable! The welcoming and seeing off are not just talk, the free afternoon tea is also good! Staring at the snow-capped mountains is also a rare experience!
2 Thanks to Brother Li! Not only did he patiently teach me how to buy the glacier cableway ticket for Yulong Snow Mountain, but he also recommended that March is more suitable for the Yakniuping cableway according to the actual situation! The time recommendation is also reasonable! He also lent me his backpack 😉 Thank you 🙏
3 Thanks to another front desk brother! I forgot to ask his specific surname, but he helped me recommend the very important Yulong Snow Mountain sightseeing train, which is definitely the most beautiful scenery of this trip! Everyone who has the opportunity to grab a ticket must go!
4 The homestay has its own restaurant, you can order food! There is a delicious baba! It's worth a try! The service and taste are also very good! Auntie's bright ”good morning” every day can really start a good day!
5 Sanjin Gouzi is a good and clingy baby!
6 Above the gate is a viewing platform in front. No matter which room you stay in, you can set an alarm to get up early to see the sunrise on Jinshan Mountain. I saw it for two days on 2025.3.9+3.10! The view is unbeatable! Looking up is the snow-capped mountain🏔Now I have withdrawal reaction~
7 When there is room available, the front desk also helped to upgrade the mountain-viewing family room for free! It's so beautiful! Thank you🙏 before leaving, I also gave tea bags as souvenirs🎁Thank you🙏
8 It's very convenient to take a taxi. Baisha Ancient Town is also very convenient to walk around at any time! The town under the snow-capped mountain is really worth going!
9 Next time I stay here, my friends must recommend this one too! ! ! The price-performance ratio is unbeatable! ! !

Very good. Although I won't come to Baisha again, hahahaha, I can recommend it to friends who plan to come.
Facilities: All hardware facilities are quite new, the air conditioning and heating effect is very good, the hot water temperature in the bathroom is also very good, and the room is quite spacious.
Sanitation: It is quite clean and tidy, and I didn't find any problems.
Environment: There are food and drinks within a few steps. The ancient town is very small, and the homestay feels very close to everywhere. As for the interior of the room, I personally think it is full marks. Although the experience of Baisha Ancient Town is not good, I got a particularly good accommodation experience.
Service: When arriving and leaving the homestay, the brother will pick you up and take you to a convenient place in the ancient town to get on and off. There is no electric kettle in the room, so I was given water in a thermos. This thermos is really amazing. It was still very hot at noon the next day.

Bear every stroke of the snow-capped mountains. The sunlight shines brightly, and the gentle breeze is harmonious. Following the rhythm of the four seasons to play the music of spring and summer. Here is the Stone Cottage of Yulong Snow Mountain. Dwelling in the wild, with the head against the snow-capped mountain, one house, one pool, one stove of tea, sitting and listening to the swaying of leaves, listening to singing and dancing, lying and savoring the starry river of the moonlit night and the sunlight on the Golden Mountain. More love for life grows naturally along with the faint moonlight.

Love love love the location. Within walking distance to the reservoir which made it easy to go for a stroll at sunrise or sunset without any logistical restrictions. Room was clean and view was amazing. However not a big fan of the room facilities especially the AI toilet (not sure why it must flush the moment I sit down every time). The shower also floods every time it is used. As I stayed here with a friend (not a couple) the barely frosted glass on the shower and toilet doors meant we had to be very comfortable with each other. The staff were on the whole polite but service was inconsistent- some staff were friendlier than others. One of the staff started shutting off the restaurant facilities before we were done with dinner which I felt was an awkward way to hurry us. Special thanks to 橙子 谢谢你热情友善的服务- 特别感谢祢平时的帮助 还帮助我们定票, 规划怎么玩。
The Lijiang Yulong Laixi Mountain View Homestay was recently opened in 2022, making it a fantastic choice for those staying in Yulong. The hotel is 21km from Lijiang Railway Station and 38km from Lijiang Sanyi Airport. There is no shortage of things to see in the area, with the Naxi Culture Park, Baisha Ancient Town and Lijiang Mural all nearby. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. This Yulong hotel features parking on site. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is a popular accommodation for couples.

We had a pleasant 3 nights stay here. They have snacks available throughout the day and staffs are very friendly. It is very convenient as there are a lot of dining options around. They offer free luggage pickup from the main street and we had a free ride to the Lijiang train station too.
Facilities: The whole house is smart. I was attracted by the environment when I saw the pictures. The Dyson hair dryer is a lifesaver for people with thick hair. You don’t need to carry a hair dryer in your suitcase. I didn’t use the projector because I went out to play very soon on the day of my stay. I was too tired to turn on the projector when I came back.
Sanitation: Clean. It looks really comfortable for me, a mild mysophobia person. The smart toilet is also very good. The whole house is equipped with disposable products to ensure cleanliness and no reuse.
Environment: I really have no idea about the location of the hotel, but we are very lucky to live not far from the entrance of Baisha Ancient Town, otherwise the stone road will bump us to death. It is very convenient to take a taxi to go out and visit Baisha Ancient Town.
Service: The front desk lady has a really good personality. If you have any problems, she will treat you warmly. Then I met the boss lady on the day of check-out. There is a little dog who likes to stick to each other and we are very happy to chat. If I have the opportunity to stay in Lijiang next time, I will choose this hotel

Kui Ran adheres to the philosophy of "Let the mountains return to nature and people to their true selves", creating a place for harmonious coexistence between humans and nature. Located in the prime spot of Baisha Ancient Town, it takes only 3 minutes on foot to reach the bustling town, allowing guests to enjoy both the lively atmosphere and a peaceful retreat. Here, simply lie back and take in the majestic Yulong Snow Mountain, the dreamy sea of clouds, the vast wilderness, and the starry sky - each view a breathtaking masterpiece.
Kui Ran was renovated from a six-generation-old ancestral home of the Naxi and Japanese style, covering an area of over 3,000 square meters. It features two main buildings, two distinct inner courtyards, and an additional 2,000 square meters of outdoor space. The 160-year-old walnut tree in the courtyard is the soul of the place.
The hotel has 14 rooms, including 13 scenic rooms facing the snow-capped mountains and one century-old ancestral home family suite. Each room is equipped with Marshall speakers, Epson projectors, Hisense TVs, Atour zero-pressure memory pillows, Acca Kappa toiletries, Kohler showers, and Jomoo smart toilets to ensure a comfortable stay. A complimentary breakfast is delivered to the room, along with welcome fruits, a snack package, and a selection of coffee for afternoon tea, allowing guests to indulge their taste buds and embark on a journey back to nature.
We hope that all guests who stay at Kui Ran can shed their fatigue and embark on a journey back to nature.

From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The check-in process was seamless, and the manager and staff was warm and welcoming, offering us and helpful tips about the local area.
Throughout my stay, every staff member I encountered was polite, attentive, and genuinely interested in making my experience as perfect as possible!
One standout moment was when I needed assistance with a last-minute request, and the team not only handled it promptly but also followed up to ensure everything went smoothly. Their attention to detail and willingness to accommodate made all the difference.
Their waffle is so good too !
The hotel's amenities were top-notch, but what truly set this experience apart was the outstanding service. I’ll definitely be returning to kuiran for my future stays. Highly recommend!
I rarely write reviews for hotels, but this time I really want to recommend it from the bottom of my heart. When I checked in on the first day, I felt that it was next to the road and I didn't want to live in the village, but after checking in and checking out, it was so comfortable that the children said they didn't want to leave at all. First of all, every employee of the hotel was very enthusiastic, going out to greet us, helping with luggage, introducing rooms, etc. They were very enthusiastic and the service was very good. I praise every employee of the hotel. Secondly, the environment is very good, clean, the bedding is comfortable, and the hair dryers are all Dyson. It's very comfortable to live here. In addition, it feels like the hotel is feeding all day long🤭, breakfast, afternoon tea, and barbecue treated by the boss in the evening, milk and pear soup before going to bed, singing and chatting around the campfire, it's so beautiful! Recommended, highly recommended! You can also see the snow-capped mountains!

The B&B is near Baisha Ancient Town. Compared to the hustle and bustle of Dayan Ancient Town
Baisha Ancient Town has become more peaceful and simple
The B&B is surrounded by vast fields and mountains.
It feels like being in the world of The Wizard of Oz
I booked a king-size bed room with a view. The room is warm and elegant.
In the morning, you can bask in the sun here while admiring the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain in the distance. It is really pleasant!
The facilities in the room are also complete, the whole house is smart, and the XGIMI projector

AAnonymous UserOn the first day of my trip to Yunnan, I transited in Lijiang. Since I arrived at the airport at night, I booked this B&B near the airport. I was attracted by the snow-capped mountains, dogs, and bookstores. In summary, it is a very warm and humane (and puppy-like) B&B. 😊
I would like to especially praise and thank the brother of the B&B. When I first arrived at the B&B, I felt very warm. It was raining heavily, and the brother came to pick me up with an umbrella. Knowing that I hadn't eaten dinner, he took me to the kitchen to see what to eat (the kitchen was very clean, which made me feel at ease). He made me a cup of delicious hot lemon tea, and brought me hot water and mineral water for fear that I was not used to it. He also gave me cake as a midnight snack for fear that I was not full, and took me to the bookstore that had already closed to choose books. T T The brother's coffee latte art for breakfast was also very beautiful. After checking out, I went to the Wenfeng Temple on the mountain. I couldn't get a taxi back (I don't recommend going if you are not interested in Buddhism and don't drive a car). The guy kept trying to find a way for me. He picked me up from the mountain halfway and brought me all kinds of food 😂
In addition to the guy, there is another super healing existence, the puppy Qiqi. Why is he so clingy and cute? When I went to the bookstore, he also followed me around and waited, like a little store manager. I wanted to raise a large dog, so I also wanted to raise a small dog.
I also want to thank the B&B for upgrading my room! I can wait for the sun to shine on the golden mountain in the room as soon as I wake up. I also like the moon hanging on the tree. It looks so real. So romantic!
Oh, and the service of the homestay is also very thoughtful. They specially created a 5-person exclusive service group for me😂 (although there are actually only 3 people in the group hahaha)
Finally, I would like to give some feedback for the homestay for improvement, which is also for reference and reminders for travelers: 1. The air conditioner is not hot enough in winter. It will feel a bit cold at night without a coat. Fortunately, there is an electric blanket when sleeping. You can buy a small appliance such as a skirting board to heat up the room (camping stoves are not recommended because they are prone to lack of oxygen). 2. The wireless charging facilities are very considerate and easy to use, but I don’t know why I get an electric shock every time I put my phone on it😭Maybe wearing a sweater in winter is particularly prone to static electricity. You have to wrap your phone with a sweater (don’t touch it with your hands) to avoid electric shock. The strength of static electricity is much greater than that of touching metal in winter, so you still have to be careful when it comes to safety.
Spring is here! I wish you all peace and happiness! :)
GGuest UserI love this homestay. I have stayed in this place for the third time. It’s a beautiful, well maintained guesthouse with a caring, lovely owner in one of the most pretty, tiny mountain villages that I have seen so far in China.
But I need to issue a serious warning about the recent developments on the hiking trails that surround the village. It took the young people who are now massively flocking these trails, less than a year to completely trash the trails with plastic garbage. This is NOT OK. This insensitive behavior is devastating and upsetting. It is unacceptable! The principle that all hikers and trekkers should follow when they enter the mountains is “to leave no traces”. Every plastic bottle, every plastic bag, every plastic food wrap, every oxygen bottle, every plastic rain cape, every aluminum bin, everything, that someone takes into the mountains, he or she has to take out of the mountain and to properly discard in the village’s official garbage bins. The purity and peace of natural places like this is fragile and vulnerable. Don’t take it for granted. Don’t destroy it.
CChitrlada HarnWhen my mother agreed to visit Lijiang with me, I browsed many hotels in Trip.com and sorted out this hotel out of many hotels with good reviews without knowing beforehanded that this will fulfill my satisfaction to the most. Before we got there, I contacted the hotel if it is comfortable for my mom to stay there because she is 88 years old and need to use wheelchair. After that they made up a wechat group to facilitate us. The staff who took care of us , xiao juan , helped us with the trip plan, escorted us to the ancient town of Dayan and Shuhe ,lead us to understand the town of Baisha and helped us with everything we need. She shows her emphaty to people with everthing she does. All the staffs there are young , polite and friendly. The location of the hotel is very suitable for exploring the ancient town of Baisha. The view of the snow mountain can be seen from the inner garden and more clearly from the third floor of the hotel. The room is comfortable with good quality bedsheet , blanket , towels and the heating floor. The breakfast is adequate with a set of chinese small dishes together with a choice of boiled rice or noodles. They provide free coffee all day with daily afternoon tea set and late night sweet soup and plum wine. I feel like I have nothing to ask more and wish to express my gratitude to all the staffs here. I wholeheartedly recommend this place to all who need to receive impressive service from these lovely staffs.

GGuest UserThe hotel's service attitude is enthusiastic! Located in the urban area outside the ancient city, it is convenient for dining around! The front desk, guest rooms, and restaurants are all dedicated! It's so cool to lie in bed and watch the sunrise on Jade Dragon Snow Mountain on a cold morning! The garden balcony on the 8th floor of the hotel has a wide view!
GGuest User[Experience] Goodnight wine and goodnight sweet soup:
Due to family members' colds and altitude sickness, we retreated early from Xiaozhongdian. But I had no regrets at all. Yuhu Village welcomed me with a bright and beautiful view. I really loved the relaxation and freedom of Yuhu Village, the friends at Ruixi Hotel, and the cute kittens, especially the little pine cones. I rubbed them well~ If there is a next time, I will choose Ruixi again, haha!
GGuest UserThe following copy of several inns with five-star praise is generated for you. You can choose and modify according to the actual situation:
On the last night of this trip, the ting Xueju of Baisha was perfect! From the moment I stepped into the inn, I felt the enthusiasm of being at home. The rooms are warm and comfortable, and every detail shows the owner's intentions. The beds are soft and make people sleep well. The location of the inn is also very superior, the surrounding transportation is convenient, and the travel is worry-free. Moreover, the service attitude of the staff is impeccable, always smiling and responsive. Whether it is early morning greetings or late night care, it makes people feel warm. In short, this inn is one of the best memories of my trip, I highly recommend it to everyone! Five-star praise is well deserved!
I hope the above copy can help you, if you have any other needs, please feel free to let me know.
GGuest UserWhat a wonderful hotel,The concierge at the door will take the initiative to help you with your luggage when they see you.Breakfast is also good, Swimming pool is so warm, wonderful. Snow mountain can be seen in the room. Thanks for the manager Richard‘s good efforts.
GGuest UserWorth to book, value for money. Close to railway station. Easy to go to Lijang old town by public transport route No. 4 in front of railway station
JJjieniI recommend conducting thorough research before making reservations to fully understand what to expect. We were somewhat surprised by the campsite-style setup, as we booked based solely on website photos without delving into the specifics.
While the facilities are adequate, the layout lacks privacy. For instance, to use the cabin's toilet, all curtains on the first level must be closed. Additionally, the toilet bowl is situated behind stairs without any curtains, potentially allowing others in the cabin to see. Moreover, the second-level flooring consists of planks with numerous gaps, providing visibility to the first level, including the bathtub and toilet bowl.
I strongly advise against booking this accommodation for families with children due to the safety risk posed by the sliding doors on the second level, which lack safety measures. While they offer a unique view of the mountain, the danger of potential falls is significant. If you do choose to consider it as a family cabin, I recommend checking with the staff to lock the doors from the outside for added safety.
Despite the unexpected aspects mentioned above, our overall stay was still decent. The staff were hospitable and helpful throughout our visit. Communication was convenient via WeChat for check-in details, recommendations, and self-checkout. It seems that the camping style of accommodation was a selling point, it’s definitely a unique stay. I’m sure there’s a specific crowd that would fully enjoy the experience.
