There you can see the conserved graffiti project by 118 artists covering part of the Berlin Wall and celebrating its demise. Berlin Presidential Palace (Bellevue Palace) Some other places you can visit in Berlin include Berlin Presidential Palace (Bellevue Palace) which has been the official residence of the President of Germany since 1994. You can also see the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, a famous landmark of western Berlin which was badly damaged in a bombing raid. Altes museum… Great exhibition!

It’s full name is Karl Friedrich Schinkel’s Altes museum which were built in 1830. There are many old precious historical piece of Arts here. In front of the museum is a park with a fountain where people love to come to spend their pleasure time. You will find a lot of tourist here. Getting There - From Alexanderplatz take bus 100 to Museumsinsel Attractions - historical Arts Hotels - Park Inn

My favourite city - Berlin!!

Berlin is one of my favourite cities in the world!! It has so much to offer on both culturally and in terms of authentic living. The obvious tourist sights are definitely worth visiting, for example; the TV tower and Berlin cathedral. But it is also worth taking some time to walk through the streets and visiting popular student haunts, such as; Holzmarkt 25 and Klunkerkranich for a great view over the whole city!! Dont forget to take a photo in a photoautomat, the many photo booths situated all around the city, which is a great souvenir of your trip!! #berlin #city #nightlife #Culture #photos

In the years between 1949 and 1961, about 2.5 million East Germans had fled from East to West Germany, including steadily rising numbers of skilled workers, professionals, and intellectuals. Their loss threatened to destroy the economic viability of the East German state. In response, East Germany built a barrier to close off East Germans’ access to West Berlin and hence West Germany.

Ambiance/highlights - most iconic Berlin Wall mural, you can walk from one end to the other side of the wall, that is about fifteen to twenty minutes. it was painted in 1990 after the fall of Berlin Wall in 1988. it used to divide Berlin between west and east Berlin stopping people from the same country from crossing. how crazy this is! luckily it was taken down. each mural is different, super talented people here! Berlin, Germany, more than just Hitler

#2023travelwish One of my most wished for travel destination is Berlin, Germany. I travelled in a group pre-Covid and would love to visit Berlin once again. We had tons of fun and learnt a lot about its history. Charlie Checkpoint is the Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War from 1947 to 1991. The now defunct checkpoint is now a tourist attraction where you pay 5 euros to take a picture with the fake army officers. Berliner Unterwelten is an underground museum that left a deep impression in me. I get to experience how the people survive underground and I'm amazed at how intelligent and strong their survival skills were. I also visited the magnificent Reichstag building where Bundestag, the German federal parliament meets.
