Great location! Grateful we were allowed to check in half hour earlier as bad weather restricted our plan! Breakfast was great.. not up to something we used to see at other locations (not in Iceland of course) but we’re fully satisfied with it
Nice hostel with common shared space and kitchen, next to Nettó supermarket. There is a laundromat next door (at the camping place), used with extra fee. 30 mins drive from the Hengifoss
The most expensive hotel on the Grand Ring Road. The breakfast and room are not much better than the 1k hotel we stayed in before, but the dinner is really unbeatable. We tried lamb chops, steak and prosecco (only one Italian one). There was no salmon that day, only another kind of fish, so we gave up the fish.
Across the road is a supermarket and a gas station. The shower room has floor heating, and the shampoo and conditioner are very useful.
There is a spiral staircase at the end of the corridor to see the scenery outside. The top floor has a glass roof, which is convenient for warming up and watching the aurora. They have an aurora wake-up service, just register at the front desk, but it was cloudy that day.
If you are looking for cost-effectiveness, you can choose to have dinner only at this restaurant. The gravy of their lamb is very delicious, recommended.
The sanitary environment is good. The location is close to Vik. It's a good place to have a good rest after hiking on the glacier. The breakfast is also very rich. I stayed in a triple room. The bathroom and room are large. The CP value is high. It's worth staying!
Hotel location is quite good, by the lake, the environment is leisurely, the facilities are complete, the hardware is good, and the breakfast is quite delicious. In the evening, you can soak in the hotel lake view hot spring for coffee 😁
The room was small, the things could not be put in the bathroom pool, breakfast ended at nine o'clock, and the food was average. Iceland was a hotel with a sense of experience all the way!

GGuest UserBeachfront resort but I only got a skylight. Even the bathroom had a better view. The room had 2 beds but linens were removed for one since I was a solo traveler and only 1 towel was provided. No shoes policy helped keep the house clean. That is very good. I didn’t use the kitchen much except to make tea but seems like it is in good condition. Dishwashing liquid however was in a glass jar instead of pump. It’s strange cos you end up using too much for a small spoon and the jar is very slippery. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was excellent! Hot food along with homemade breads. It was the best breakfast I had in my 2 weeks in Iceland. Location is an hour drive from Egilsstaðir via some mountain pass, gravel roads and along the coast road. The views are breathtaking. But it’s a small town and if you don’t intend to hike around the area then it might not be worth spending so much time getting to and fro your accommodation.
LLeah ChiuWasn't expecting much but ended up so pleasantly surprised! My elderly parents and I absolutely loved our stay here! One of the best places we stayed in Iceland this trip. The Guesthouse manager (matnus? Sorry I'm not sure how his name is spelt!) was kind enough to help us arrange a last minute change of room as we changed our minds and wanted to upgrade to a bigger room. We stayed at the one bedroom apartment and everything was lovely. Squeaky clean, even for a clean freak like me. The place was well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I noticed there is a thick layer of cushion over the sofa bed so this was the most comfortable sofa bed I've ever slept on. My parents also said the double bed was very very comfortable. Highly highly recommend this Guesthouse!
MMicrobe kaiLocation: Good, located next to the lake, with restaurants and attractions nearby
Facilities: We stayed in a two-person room on the third floor. The room was a bit small, and a suitcase larger than a boarding suitcase might get stuck; the extension cord had poor contact, the hot water pressure was sufficient, and it came with a hair dryer, soap, shampoo and Conditioner; there is chess to play in the public area.
But why does the 4-person room on the first floor have a hot water kettle (as seen through the window when walking by the lake), but not upstairs? !
Service: The first floor is under renovation, self-service is provided, keys are provided in envelopes for self-pickup, no breakfast is provided, only paper is enclosed in the envelope. Recommended restaurants
Others: Located next to the road, with no airtight windows and poor sound insulation

LLeah ChiuThe room was a bit small for my family of three. But the bathroom is very spacious. Room is also clean. Room does not have a kettle but there is a common pantry which was useful. The main issue was check in because the check in was not actually at hotel post itself but at the other hotel next door and instructions were not clearly given. We panicked a bit initially because we reached quite late and could not find a way to get into hotel post. Luckily we managed to call the hotel and was told that check in is in the other building.

GGuest UserAccommodation is situated in a remote area, where the actual lodging is a short drive in from the main reception area. Very basic accommodation, where even the hot water is limited! But given that it is family-run, the customer service was wonderful. I was freezing under my comforter and the staff brought a portable heater to our room.

LlaosnewhorizonsVery helpful staff on a range of travel information, fantastic. The location beside the harbour beautiful and access to northern lights viewing with excellent staff guidance on where to try. Food delicious for dinner and breakfast. Rooms comfy quite clean and functional, warm shower, hot if you want, good WiFi
BBanchaI had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Iceland! The room was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. One of the highlights was the breakfast – fresh, delicious, and with a good variety to choose from. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
