The staff at the front desk were efficient, though they came across as cold and reserved. The room was disappointing, with run-of-the-mill furniture/furnishings and a creaky chair. The lights were too dim. There was no view as the lower half of the window was blocked by a wall. On the other hand, the bathroom looked quite elegant and was kept clean.
The location is great. There are plenty of dining & shopping options nearby. The hotel has a shopping mall on the lower floors and is next to Mitsukoshi Department Store and Okaido Shopping Street. The Okaido Tram Stop is down the street. The bus stop for the airport limousine is right in front of Mitsukoshi. Attractions such as Bansuiso, Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum and the cable car to Matsuyama Castle are all within walking distance.
As expected of a hotel with a history of more than 100 years, it is a home away from home and the service is considerate. It is very close to the main building of Dogo Onsen and not far from the station. There is a shopping street just outside. There is an open-air hot spring with a large pool and various snacks for free. There is a massage chair in the room and yukatas of various sizes are also provided. You can also read books while resting in the public area, and there are many books. The breakfast is delicious. I hope to have the opportunity to come to Matsuyama again and I will still choose this one. Thank you very much.
I always use this hotel when I come to Matsuyama with my wheelchair-bound mother to visit my son. We are traveling from Tokushima to Matsuyama. My son's birthday is on March 22nd, so it's a little early, but this time I stayed overnight with my husband. The staff were very attentive and kind, and the hotel was very relaxing and I felt like a celebrity. We are also advertising the hotel in Tokushima, so please take care of yourself and do your best. I will come again with my mother. Thank you very much 😊 I am grateful.
This is the garden suite that I set for the first night. It is located on the B1 floor of the hotel's annex, which is the first floor. I like it at first sight when facing the garden landscape. Facilities are very complete, humidifier Bluetooth speaker coffee maker and so on, as well as very comfortable mobile hammock! It is really comfortable to lie in the sun and read a book and listen to music. The hotel only has a mini Japanese local TV, but stay in this hotel and don't think about watching TV and experience the beautiful environment! I booked a two-day spa, signature massage and body & facial care package, to relax and unwind. The outdoor pool is only open from June to September, but you can still walk to the front to see the scenery. It is highly recommended to order breakfast and dinner because the hotel restaurant arranges every meal so well, I stayed for four nights without repeating the dishes all day. The hotel also provides airport transfers and round-trip taxis within Matsuyama Castle. A single trip of 3300 yen is a good deal. In short, I will come again in another season.
We wanted to experience Dogo Onsen and this was a great choice (albeit expensive because it was a holiday weekend). The hotel is lovely and the service is beyond excellent. The staff was super kind as we are English speakers. Plus, we really enjoyed the hotels onsens better than the ones in town (the Dogo Onsen is being renovated and only one room was open for each gender; the same was the case with the Annex). The hotels onsens were lovely and the private outdoor onsen was a really lovely experience. We also took advantage of their convenient bus service into town although it’s only a 10 minute walk and we walked multiple times. Highly recommend!
I was very grateful that there was a large public bath, and although it was far from Route 11, there were places to eat nearby and a 24-hour supermarket, so it was perfect for using the car.
The futon was not too soft and the duvet was fluffy and down-like, so it was very comfortable to sleep on.
For breakfast, there was a buffet, curry, and about six types of bread and rice.
I think there were.
I was also happy that it was ponzu juice instead of orange juice.
I also left something behind in the parking lot, but when I called, they found it right away and sent it to me!
I was even more impressed when they said they would cover the shipping costs!
Thank you very much😭
I think it's the best Route Inn for hiking and trekking in the Ishizuchi mountain range and driving/touring on the UFO Line. You can also go south on National Route 192 to Tosa on the Kochi side, or cross the UFO Line to Nagasawa, go a little north on R192, turn right, cross Kochi Prefectural Route 17, go north on R32, and continue on Kochi Road or Route 32 to Ooboke and Koboke. It will be a great drive to enjoy the deep mountains of Shikoku. If it is fully booked, there is also a hotel in Niihama.
I am generally pleased with the hotel's facilities and breakfast, as they have met my expectations in many aspects. However, I believe that a more welcoming and accommodating attitude from the staff would significantly enhance the overall guest experience. Additionally, improving their English proficiency, particularly in customer interactions, would be highly beneficial in providing more seamless and professional service to international visitors.
This hotel is very new, and it's only around 3 minutes walking distant away from the JR station. The lobby is very big with big windows and has many chairs for guest to sit and rest, there are also bike rack for you to lock the bike at the lobby. We were surprised to find out that there's welcome drinks and beer is also included. Our room was on one of the higher floor, so the view was beautiful.
Breakfast was buffet style and was amazing, selection was great and delicious. Would definitely stay there again if we visit the area.
The only downside is the staff doesn't understand English too well, but not too big of an issue when there's google translate.
Generally speaking, the only drawback is that there is no place for food and beverages for people to use, there is no table in the room, and a group of people cannot enjoy food together.
Meals were not included. I arrived at the hotel after the front desk staff had left an envelope with the key in it for me, but it was a bit risky from a safety standpoint, but it was my fault for being late, so it was a very nice touch.

GGuest UserI honestly worried a lot because there were not many Korean reviews.
But it's really great.
It's right in front of Don Quixote, so you can go buy anything you need at any time.
It's a single room, but it's the largest Japanese hotel I've ever been to.
And the big bath that drags Dogo hot spring water is so good
If you go, you have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, skin lotion, even cleansing foam !!! It was so nice to be able to enjoy the hot springs every evening.
I think I'll stop here next time I come to Matsuyama!
Good value for money !!!
QQingfengguanhongJapanese-style homestay, in addition to the good location is cheap, such a sparrow is small and complete, it costs more than 300 yuan, (bought three berths, gave a single room) here is 160 meters away from the hot springs, will you choose here for your trip? The environment is better than I thought, and the quietness can give 7 points, which is due to the host's occupancy requirements and the quality of the occupants.

HHUI LINGVery close to the main street (8 minutes walk), the room is big and the breakfast is good, clean and tidy. The only drawback is that there is a turbine-like sound (I don't know where it comes from? Maybe there is a machine near the room?) I will be scared by this sound in the dead of night🤣, so I don't turn off the lights when I go to bed at night😖⋯⋯Apart from this, there is nothing to complain about, everything is good
AAnnieChuVery satisfied with this hotel, the sense of space is relatively enough, especially the bathroom is big enough, not to hit hands and feet. In addition, next door to the hotel is Crab Road Fun, which is also a very good option. The location of the hotel is very convenient to walk to Matsuyama Castle. And the service is very good, parking is not hard to find. I will book this next time I go to Matsuyama!

GGuest UserVery well located hotel in Dogo Onsen. Shops and restaurants around the corner. Few minutes walk to the Dogo station (tram and bus). Free good coffee for breakfast (even if you don’t buy breakfast (not expensive)). Helpful staff. Smallish room with excellent bed and shower/bath. Very good Price-Quality.
On the ‘hill’ behind the Honkan Onsen (seen from the hotel) there is an Information. They have some free short walks printed. There is also a free footbath with a view on the Honkan (and the Patio hotel).
Famous temple 51 is 20-30 minutes walk from the hotel or take a bus.
GGuest UserSummary: Highly recommended!
The service in Japan is very good. The front desk of this hotel is very friendly, with English-speaking service staff, and the communication is very smooth. We did not report the baby when booking, and they helped us set up a tatami bed on site. The service details included asking about the baby's height (giving the corresponding size of kimono/bathrobe) and the size of the baby's feet (giving the baby's clogs and indoor slippers).
The room is very large and the soundproofing is very good. I slept a full night.
The hotel has a shortcut to the Dogo Onsen! It's really less than 100 meters away! Next to it is the Dogo Shopping Street, where tap water and orange juice are.
