Nagano's paradise is now in full bloom. Japan is not only famous for its cherry blossom spots, but also for its renowned hanamomo, or flower peaches. In the Tsukigawa Onsen area of Nagano Prefecture's Achi Village, there is an incredibly dreamy 'Hanamomo no Sato' where a single tree can have blossoms in three colors. The tri-colored hanamomo bloom in an S-shape across the hills, creating a spectacular sight. Achi Village is known as Japan's number one peach blossom paradise. The village is tranquil and simple, yet filled with flowering peach trees, cherry blossoms, and other flowers. Every spring, the hills turn into a dreamy pink, resembling a heavenly wonderland! 'Hanamomo no Sato' features a path lined with 5,000 hanamomo trees, with petals in peach red, white, and pink. A single tree can produce blossoms in three colors, which is quite unique! The village has at least 10,000 hanamomo trees in total.

Right next to Sonohara Interchange. Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture, is known as the village with the most beautiful starry sky in Japan. Here, from mid-April to early May, many flowering trees called hanamomo bloom beautifully. There are more than 5,000 of them. Achi Village has planted many "sanshoku hanamomo" trees that bloom in three colors: red, white, and pink. It is an unusual flowering tree that blooms with flowers of different colors on one tree. It is said that it has not yet been clarified why different colored flowers bloom on the same tree.

From the summit, you can see stars everywhere you look, 180 degrees: Takamine Observatory, Achi Village, Nagano Prefecture Even in the photo, you can see this amount of stars...! In reality, there were even more 🥺 You can see shooting stars every second. The 40-kilometer "Hanamomo Kaido" road in southern Shinshu, Nagano Prefecture, is lined with around 10,000 flowering peach trees and is also known as "Shangri-La." Every year from mid-April to mid-May, the town is decorated with three-colored peach blossoms. Achi Village in particular is known as "Japan's No. 1 Peach Blossom Village" and is extremely popular. We took a trip to Nagano on April 20, 2026. Along the drive, the entire route was beautifully lined with peach blossoms in three colors: white, pink, and red, which is exactly why it's called Hanamomo Kaido (Peach Blossom Route). Originally, we planned to visit Hanamomo no Sato, a popular stop for everyone traveling this way. However, seeing the heavy traffic, we decided to skip it and keep driving. As it turned out, the entire road was overflowing with peach blossoms! Eventually, we stumbled upon a breathtaking photo spot with endless views that rivaled Hanamomo no Sato. It was just a short drive past the main spot, with a village situated on the right side. It was uncrowded and absolutely perfect for photography enthusiasts like us. After our photo stop here, we continued our drive and saw beautiful peach blossoms lining the road the whole way—truly living up to the name Hanamomo Kaido (Peach Blossom Route). 📸 The spot where we took these photos is located along the Seinaiji River in the Seinaiji area, Achi Village, Shimoina District, in southern Nagano Prefecture. As the streetlights flicker on, the roadside food stalls come alive. The charcoal on the grill glows red hot, and the ingredients sizzling on top slowly begin to render their fat. Drops of oil hit the coals, sparking little bursts of blue flame. The vendor flips the skewers non-stop, sprinkling seasoning evenly as the mouth-watering aroma drifts far into the warm evening breeze. Passersby simply can't help but stop when the scent hits them. Handed a freshly grilled skewer, you take a bite—the outside is perfectly charred and smoky, while the inside remains tender and juicy. The savory spices have soaked right through, and a subtle kick of heat spreads across your tongue, getting more delicious with every chew. A group of boys, fresh from a basketball game, gather around the stall, eating and re-enacting their moves on the court, completely ignoring the sweat dripping down their faces. A few girls getting off work stroll by with skewers in hand, happily munching and raving about the flavors. The warm glow of the charcoal fire illuminates everyone's faces. I took a trip to Hirugami Onsen in Minami-Shinshu, Nagano Prefecture! It features a spacious lobby and a gorgeous courtyard! The food was absolutely delicious, too 😆✨ The hot springs are known for their skin-beautifying properties, and they really left my skin feeling incredibly smooth 😊✨✨✨ Even days later, my skin still felt silky, proving just how amazing the effects of the spring water are! The open-air baths even include a cave bath, and getting to watch a waterfall while soaking is simply the best! Both the hot springs and the food were fantastic! But what’s even better is the Achi River flowing right next to the hotel. It's so beautiful, and you can even walk down the bank to sit right by the water. Between the stunning scenery and the soothing murmur of the river, the whole experience was completely refreshing 😆✨

Achi Village in Nagano Prefecture is famous for its beautiful starry skies! Did you know that Namiai Park, a park for stargazing, is located in the village? On a clear day at the end of October, I was able to enjoy a star-filled sky. 🌠 And, amazingly, I even saw more than three shooting stars! [How to Enjoy✨] · Join one of the two stargazing events (approximately an hour) held daily to learn about the stars, listen to stories about the constellations, and enjoy the view. Afterward, you're free to spend any time you like in the park until closing time. The park closes at midnight from April to December, and at 10:00 PM from January to March. · If you reserve the viewing deck, you can enjoy the stars in a private, walled space in the reclining seats provided. Have a wonderful time! [Caution⚠️] · Even in October, I needed a winter coat. 🥶 Check the temperature carefully beforehand and make sure you're prepared for the cold! By the way, you can rent down coats for a fee. · In the park areas other than the viewing deck, there are regular benches but no reclining seats. If you want to lie down and enjoy the starry sky, be sure to bring a picnic blanket with you. · Binoculars are available for rental, but we recommend bringing them if you have them!

Hirugami Onsen I stayed at the Yutari no Sato Inaka Hotel. Even the Emperor has stayed here, and there were photos of him there in the lobby. The parking lot was a bit tricky, slanted like a service area, and it was pretty full. There's a morning market and a free foot bath nearby, so I recommend strolling around the area. 🦵♨️ The autumn leaves right in front of the hotel entrance were a stunning red, and I think it was the most beautiful foliage I've seen this year. 🍁 The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of options!

Hanaya Hotel Hot Spring Starry Romance Night To be honest, Achimura is known as "Japan's most beautiful starry sky"! 🌌 This time I chose to stay at Sunshin Onsen Four Seasons Weaver Flower House Inn, the location is superb, from the mountain you can directly overlook the entire Achi Village, it feels very healing. The inn has just renovated its lobby and features a special teahouse. Enjoy coffee ☕️ and Japanese green tea Ancha chill! The dinner was even more unforgettable - the chef grilled the Shinzhou beef sushi on the spot, which really left your teeth fragrant! Sooo fresh ~ The other ingredients are super fresh, completely satisfying all a foodie's fantasies 🍣🥩. The most special is the two large baths converted into private baths, green economy model, use to feel more noble and environmentally friendly, healing feeling up up! 🛁😄 The hotel staff is super enthusiastic, and will turn off all the peripheral lights at night, so that you can see the starry sky with zero pollution, great for taking pictures✨ Before leaving, I also got Nagano Prefecture packaged spring water. What a courtesy! ❤️ The overall experience was excellent and the Hanaya Hotel (530-1 Chisato, Achi-mura, Shimoina-gun) is definitely worth recommending to everyone. Just a 3-hour bus ride from Tokyo 🚍, Achi Village in Nagano Prefecture is renowned as the best place in Japan to view the stars. #Register for June Hotel Sleep Tester 2025 In the early summer of 2025, I suddenly wanted to take a trip to Japan, just for the Kamikochi that I had longed for. It turns out that from Nagoya north, there are many beautiful scenery along the way, Shinho Plateau, Ride the Saddle Plateau, let you relax. The Oriental Alps, indeed, is well-deserved, the name of the river boy bridge with a bit of divine painting color, compared with the white snow-capped mountain peaks, the blue line of river water, is simply heaven and earth, making people intoxicated. There are also three or two photos taken when I went to Zengcheng to pick litchis, the Sky Mirror and the famous Zengcheng hanging green litchi. Achi Village, located on the border between Nagano and Gifu Prefectures, is known for its "best starry sky in Japan," but recently it has become more well-known as "Hanamomo no Sato." (I'm one of those who only recently found out about this...) There are 5,000 flowering peaches of three varieties, red, white, and pink, planted in Hanamomo no Sato. Unlike regular peaches, flowering peaches are not edible, but are for decoration, so local people took the trouble to plant them. I'm very grateful. The flowering peaches that bloom in Hirugami Onsen in early April will increase in altitude over time, and bloom in Hanamomo no Sato in late April. The flowering peaches planted in large numbers on both sides of the river and in the mountains are truly magnificent, and I'm speechless. It really feels like a paradise. To take a photo of the whole of Hanamomo no Sato, you have to go from the top of the cliff on the other side. Before crossing the bridge with the carp streamers, take the road in front of Cafe Yamanaka on the opposite side of the road and walk for about 10 minutes up a steep hill (during this period, cars are not allowed to enter). This is also recommended if you have the stamina. The rooms also have baths, making it perfect for a private getaway. 💞Reason 1: The hot spring is smooth. I went during Hinamatsuri season, and the tableware was cute. 💞Reason 3: There is a Noh theater at the entrance to the inn. Depending on the season, Hinamatsuri dolls are displayed, and you can actually watch Noh.
