Cuyahoga Valley National Park
#passionpassport
Though a short distance from the urban areas of Cleveland and Akron, Cuyahoga Valley National Park seems worlds away. The park is a refuge for native plants and wildlife, and provides routes of discovery for visitors. The winding Cuyahoga River gives way to deep forests, rolling hills, and open farmlands. Walk or ride the Towpath Trail to follow the historic route of the Ohio & Erie Canal. #passionpassport #beautifuldestinations #travelphotography #travelinspiration #travelworld #travelusa #nationalpark #travelworld #travelsolo #urbanexplorer #summervacation #travelnature

Brandywine Waterfall
Brandywine waterfall in Cuyahoga is one of the highlight of Park. Waterfall is not that great but the hike which takes you to waterfall is amazing. There are multiple ways to reach this waterfall. One can go to Brandywine Parking or can hike 2.5 mile one way hike to waterfall from Boston Mills Parking Area. One can go by cycle as well. Hike has plain, some elevation and a very beautiful wooden path. Waterfall looks ok but when we went water flow was not that great but we really enjoyed the hike. Sometimes roads in the park gets blocked for construction so please check Park website for updates on the paths and on the latest updates. #waterfall #cuyahoga #national #nationalpark #hike #parking #usa #ohio
Ledges Trail Cuyahoga-Beautiful
This is a beautiful and very relaxing trail in Cuyahoga. Cuyahoga National park is located in Ohio and this trail is one of the highlight of the Park. It’s a 2.6 Mile loop trail. On the way you will find beautiful locations, greenery and many big sandstones covered with mosses. These miss covered sandstone gives very nice view. Trails are nicely marked and not very tough. It takes around 2-3 hours to complete the loop. Scenery keeps changing and makes it interesting. There is lot of parking space on the start of trail and also restrooms. Rangers are available in park till 6:00 PM. It’s a nice hike and can be covered as part of Cuyahoga National Park and a must visit. Kids can also do it. #nationalpark #usa #cuyahoga #ohio #travel #hiking #hike #walk #scenicspotguide

Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Cleveland Rocks!
hubs has been wanting to visit the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame for a while now and no better time than to take him for a birthday trip.
I had been to the HoF before but it was all new to me. they apparently change it up.
we enjoyed it! all 6 levels! it will take more than a day to go through and experience it all!
because hubby is from Brooklyn, NY. and Italian, I had to treat him to Johnny’s Downtown.
amazing Italian cuisine! if you’re a veal fan, they have plenty of it!
Their strawberry cheesecake gives Juniors in Brooklyn a run for their money!!
The HoF is near everything downtown as well as JACK’s casino. decent place. we signed up for the players card, received $100 each free playing money, free buffet and a free lottery ticket each. definitely check it out! even if you don’t gamble, they give you the buffet free for just signing up for the players card. not sure if it was a limited time thing they were doing or if it’s all the time. just check before going if you only want the free buffet.
parking. wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. we managed to park the entire weekend and only spent $20 for parking.
however, if there’s an event going on, parking runs between $40 and $60!! if you’re lucky enough you can get parking at a meter and will only cost you $2 or $3 to park. after 6 pm parking at the meters is free.
we stayed about 13 minutes away from downtown in Brooklyn, Ohio. who knew there was more than one Brooklyn? 😄
we stayed at the Fairfield Inns and Suites by Marriott. it was soooo very nice! breakfast included, work out room open 24/7, they have a pool but it’s terribly small. like they put a couple of extra large hot tubs together. the employees were all very pleasant and friendly. rooms spacious and clean. I won’t stay anywhere else when I visit the Cleveland area. the hotel’s rates were lower than if we had stayed in Cleveland. just better all around. oh and free parking at the hotel.
there’s a Cracker Barrel located right in front of the hotel, lots of other restaurants and shopping in the area. Pretty safe area! definitely recommend!

Extended Stay America Suites - Cleveland - Great Northern Mall Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Great Hotel to stay at, very friendly receptionists/workers, on-site laundry room (reasonable), kitchen with essentials, Flatscreen tv w/ cable, only thing that is a down falls is their internet service, no free phone calls (have to pay for calls from your room/ a $1 a min), and you have to pay for housekeeping. Hotel is in a great location, near many stores/mall and places to get food pretty much in walking distance.
