#JulyDestinations2025 Turin, the capital of the Piedmont region in northwestern Italy, served as the first capital of the Duchy of Savoy, the Kingdom of Sardinia, and Italy after their unification. It is a center of Italian history, and the numerous palaces and villas built by the Savoy dynasty constitute Turin's cultural heritage. During my time in Turin, I chose a day to visit the city's highlights and do some shopping. I walked to Piazza San Carlo, nicknamed "Turin's Living Room," surrounded by arcades and a popular spot for locals to meet and stroll. I also stopped by the Mole Antonelliana, a major landmark of Turin, Italy, named after its architect, Alessandro Antonelli.
