Climbing halfway up, I looked back and saw the waterfall crashing down between two cliffs, the mist hitting my face, instantly refreshing. For the route, I suggest visiting the waterfall group first, then heading up to the main peak. If you aren't very fit, you can turn back at the waterfall group. The summit is mainly for viewing the sea of clouds, which is only worth the extra 2 hours if it's clear after the rain. In the afternoon, I headed to Wanfo Lake. Honestly, the lake view itself isn't stunning, but the 40-minute boat ride around the island was quite comfortable. As the boat reached the center of the lake, the wind picked up, and the water color changed from gray-green to deep blue. There's no commercial activity on the island, just a trail; it takes 40 minutes to walk around. ⚠️ Boat schedules are reduced after 4:00 PM, so don't go too late. 🍜 For lunch, I ate at a farmhouse restaurant near the entrance. The second half has almost no shade, and the summer sun can make your scalp numb, so you must wear a hat. ⚠️ Don't talk to the "free guides" at the entrance, as they will lead you to offer incense. If the cable car queue is long, walking down the mountain only takes 40 minutes, so I suggest just walking. 3️⃣ Linyi City | Shandong The Firefly Water Cave and the Underground Grand Canyon are not far apart, but they have different rhythms. The Underground Grand Canyon is for rafting; the water isn't fast, and it's mainly for viewing the stalactites in the cave. The lighting is quite flashy, and children will like it. The rafting takes about 20 minutes, and free raincoats are provided, so there's no need to buy one.
