The Noble Peak of Jade

Introduction to the Scenic Area: Lianbao Yezhe, in Tibetan, means 'The Noble Peak of Jade' and is renowned as such. The sacred mountains and strange rocks here are rugged, resembling the magical world of The Lord of the Rings, and can be described as a secret realm of magic. The scenic area is accessible by self-driving, which is one of the few in the country where self-driving is possible. The road conditions within the scenic area are excellent, yet there are hardly any tourists. The highway scenes are very impressive, making it a hidden magical domain in northern Sichuan. Directions: Lianbao Yezhe is located between Aba County and Jiuzhi County in the Aba Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan. Direct navigation to the Lianbao Yezhe Stone City scenic area is available. For this self-driving trip, we set out from Chengdu, covering a distance of 510KM, and the journey takes about 7 hours. Currently, the scenic area has only developed one route to Zhaganaer Lake, with an admission fee of 120 yuan. Vehicles can directly enter and drive about 20 kilometers to reach Camp 2. Precautions 1⃣️ The altitude of Zhaganaer Lake is around 4600 meters, which can easily cause altitude sickness. There is a rescue point in the scenic area where oxygen can be taken. 2⃣️ The 20 kilometers from the visitor center to Camp 2 offer very nice scenery. 3⃣️ After reaching Zhaganaer Lake, if time, weather, and physical condition allow, you can walk around the lake. The entire loop is about 3 kilometers, mainly consisting of gravel and dirt roads. 4⃣️ Due to the unpredictable weather on the plateau, it is recommended to prepare raincoats in advance. 5⃣️ Be sure to protect yourself from the sun, as the ultraviolet rays on the plateau are very strong. Prepare sleeve covers, face towels, and hats.
