Shangri-La RSR - Beautiful Day & Night

I’m back at this lovely resort, Shangri-La Rasa Sayang Penang. My last stay was 2 years ago, a week before the movement control order. Shocked to see erosion whittled these gorgeous parts of Batu Feringghi Beach. Coconut trees and beautiful beaches all gone. Kudos to the resort management for taking necessary mitigation works to prevent such erosion. a significant amount of money has been spent on retaining wall and slope stabilisation. Hopefully the state government and relevant authorities are taking serious action on this. Otherwise this beautiful resort and few nearby resorts will be gone in few years time. In spite of that, the resort has never failed to impress us with outstanding service, good food and great facilities. Not to forget a beautiful and well kept garden. My verdict: Based on my observation, the guests are mostly returning guests and they don’t mind paying a higher rate. This is the testament of how people ‘fall in love’ with Rasa Sayang and I do believe it is a daunting task for other resorts even though the new one in Penang to beat Shangri-La. #beautifulresorts #shangrila #rasasayang# Oh ya, cover pic taken from room #1308 😎
