Chiba City Zoo

#thingstodo We visited it on a Sunday morning. There were many families visiting it with their young kids, but there was no wait to enter the park. You buy the tickets at the ticketing booth or machines at the entrance. The machine also has English. Tickets cost ¥700 for adults (high school or above) and are free otherwise. There were many animals to visit, mainly small animals (e.g. lemurs, red pandas, meerkats) with some larger animals (e.g. lions, sea lions, ostrich). There are not that many animals to see, but they were mostly in nice and spacious living areas, so it was nice to see that the animals appear to be treated well. The paths are mostly quite sunny, but with ample shade (from trees) along most of them. There are also many souvenir shops, restaurants, and clean toilets around the park. There is also a fountain/water playing area for children in the center. Overall, a very nice and comfortable park to visit for 2-3 hours. It is definitely targeting young children/families more than adults, but it is still a great experience for anyone looking to see animals and relax.
