There are many strategies online now to get to Namtso by other routes, we still choose to buy tickets and take the sightseeing bus. After swiping the ticket and entering, you directly get on the sightseeing bus, which takes you to the edge of Namtso Lake, and you still need to walk a short distance by yourself. On the return trip, take the sightseeing bus at the place where you get off, and it will take you around the island for a week before returning. 👟The altitude of Namtso is 4700, it is easy to have altitude sickness, make sure you have adapted to the plateau before you go, it is recommended to rest for a day or two if you just arrived in Tibet. Those who have adapted should also prepare some oxygen bottles just in case. I am one of those who have severe altitude sickness, I rested in Lhasa for two days first, then slowed down in Linzhi for two days, and when I got to Namtso, I still needed to walk slowly because I was panting. 💨The wind is very strong by the lake, remember to bring a woolen hat, it's cold when the wind blows.
