The site of Yuantong Ancient Temple

In Dayi, a suburb of Chengdu, there used to be countless large-scale temples. Now, there are still some temple ruins in the mountains. The temple ruins we visited today, compared to Kaihua Temple and Baiyun Temple, are not so remote. Except for the last 500 meters of gravel road, the rest of the road is relatively easy to walk. Now there is a suspected Ming Dynasty screen wall, a Ming Dynasty stone archway, and a remaining ancient bridge. There is also an ancient well on one side. The stone archway is inscribed with 'Shu Mansion Zen Forest', which shows that it was not small in scale. Unfortunately, the stone lion in front of the archway has been painted in color. The major halls no longer exist, but there are still a few ancient steles, telling the glory of the past; navigate to Dayi Yuantong Temple, the car can be parked in the village, and then walk 500 meters, turn right after seeing a pavilion to reach the screen wall.
