Hiking up Arthur’s Seat

This is definitely a must do in Edinburgh. Arthur’s Seat is about 20 min walk from city center. The entrance to the hill is clearly marked with sign post. As it is a popular hiking trail, there will likely be others going up the same route. The total height is only 250m, and the slope going up is very gentle. When I visited in May, the hill was blooming with beautiful flowers. The panoramic view at the top is breathtaking. As you walk downhill, make sure to see St Anthony’s Chapel ruin and the swans at St Margaret’s Loch. Reserve 1-2 hours for this relaxing activity. #urbanexplorer #hiking #edinburgh #scotland
