Visited the new Sanxingdui Museum

The new Sanxingdui Museum just opened last July, and today I had the time to take a tour. The exquisite collection of artifacts from Sanxingdui is a vivid portrayal of the spiritual world of the ancient Shu people. The beautiful jade that pays homage to heaven and earth, the uniquely shaped altars, the masks that gaze into the distance, the statues that merge humans and birds, the flying phoenixes, the divine trees that reach from the ground to the sky... they all deeply embody an immense reverence for the gods of heaven and earth, and the natural world, showcasing the ancient Shu people's romantic imagination and extraordinary creativity. The beauty and impact of the unearthed artifacts can only be truly felt on-site, where their astonishing and incredible nature can be experienced.
