In the Northern Song Dynasty, Lin Hejing planted and chanted plums, and a sentence "The sparse shadow slanted and the water was clear, and the dark fragrance floated at dusk" depicted the shape and taste of plum blossoms vividly. Bai Juyi also left a "Wu Xiang Temple is as dense as snow, and Gushan Garden is as beautiful as makeup" when he came here to appreciate plums.
