The Ultimate Harbin Travel Guide: Why I Regret Coming Back

Just got back from Harbin and I'm here to share my experience with everyone, all my personal heartfelt feelings!!👏 As soon as I landed back home, I regretted it. If only I had known, I would have bought more local specialties. Harbin is really great for shopping😭 Central Street The architecture here is too beautiful, exuding a foreign charm everywhere. There are many restaurants and small shops on the street. I had a meal at a Russian restaurant here and it felt pretty good, and they even gave me an ice lolly which was especially delicious! Harbin's ice lollies are different from those in other places, I suggest everyone try them. Shopping for small items on Central Street is indeed a bit expensive, you can go to Daoli Market to buy. Saint Sophia Cathedral is within walking distance from Central Street, and the bus is also very convenient, just one stop away. The cathedral is very beautiful, especially exquisite, and it feels even more different after the lights are turned on at night. You can visit the cathedral during the day, 20 RMB per person. Harbin Daoli Market (Daxin Yibai Shopping Plaza Store) The market is right across from the cathedral, and they have all kinds of delicious foods. The more popular ones include Jixi mixed vegetables, pot noodles, pumpkin cakes, deep-fried pork loin, fried cakes, etc. I bought fresh-brewed kvass and frozen pear juice here, both of which were very good, worth a try. Also, I especially regret not buying more of the little date sausages, they were really delicious. You can also buy Harbin fridge magnets and ornaments here, the prices are reasonable. Chinese Baroque Style Street Baroque here is quite nice for taking photos, quite suitable for a stroll. Had breakfast at a Shaomai shop nearby, which was especially good!🥳 A basket of beef Shaomai, two beef pies, and a bowl of mutton soup, two people ate until they were full for only 35. Next door, Beisan Kaiqi is hugely popular, full of aunties and uncles. The variety of dim sum is both abundant and affordable. This is also something I regret not buying more of, I bought three kinds and each was very tasty! 🍲Additionally, the spicy hot pot at Anfa Qiao is really tasty, and the fried skewers are even better than the spicy hot pot, crispy and crunchy, I particularly like the dry seasoning sprinkled on top. Northeastern Chinese cuisine, just pick any restaurant and you won't go wrong, I ate at Dingxiang Town, and it was just right to go see the Asli Orphanage afterwards. The Asli Orphanage is near the north square of Harbin Station, it's very photogenic but‼️ it's really small, if you're coming from far away just for this, it's not worth it. Right across from it is the Saint Iver Church (last photo).
