The bustling streets, neon signs, and iconic landmarks were just as I had imagined, making the experience surreal. Our journey began with a culinary exploration, diving into the local food scene. From dim sum to street food, Hong Kong’s cuisine did not disappoint. We savored every bite, from the delicate har gow to the flavorful egg tarts, each dish a testament to the city’s rich culinary heritage. One of the highlights was our visit to Victoria Dockside, where we marveled at the stunning views of the Victoria Harbour. The blend of modern architecture and historical landmarks made it a perfect spot for family photos. The atmosphere was lively, with tourists and locals alike enjoying the waterfront. The trip wouldn’t have been complete without exploring the historic Kowloon Walled City Park. Walking through the remnants of what was once a lawless city was both fascinating and humbling. The park, now peaceful and green, provided a stark contrast to its turbulent past. At Wong Tai Sin Temple, I took a moment to wish for my family’s good health and my career’s smooth progression. The temple’s vibrant colors and serene ambiance offered a space for reflection amidst the city’s fast pace. Our adventure continued at Central Pier 7, where we hopped on the Tsim Sha Tsui ferry. The ride provided a unique view of the city’s skyline, a blend of old and new, tradition and modernity. Despite the excitement, I couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed at not seeing any ongoing movie productions or encountering my favorite Hong Kong actors and actresses. Nonetheless, the trip was a dream come true, and the city lived up to its image on screen, making our family holiday in Hong Kong unforgettable.
